“Dad! Hey dad!”

Goku landed a solid fist to his oldest son’s face, not hearing the excited cry of the raven-haired boy flying towards them. The force of the blow knocked Gohan backward, and he grunted as he clutched his burning face. He quickly refocused and braced himself in the air with his energy, crossing his arms in front of him to prevent the attack he expected. Goku rushed at him with amazing speed and suddenly disappeared just as he reached him.

Gohan blinked, bewildered, as he felt nothing, and lowered his guard slightly. His expression twitched abruptly when he noted the spark of ki behind him. He noticed the hidden energy signal too late, though, and the heel of Goku’s boot crashed atop his head.

Goten swept his spiky hair back, watching his brother rapidly descend to the ground. In his excitement, it did not connect in his brain to help. Besides, they were just sparring. Gohan would be all right. He finally blinked, then touched down onto the grassy meadow, reaching out a hand to assist his brother out of his personal indention.

“Hey guys, guess what?!” Goten said as Gohan brushed himself off.

“What?”

“Trunks is back!”

Gohan and Goku traded glances, raising their eyebrows at the youngest Son in front of them. Goku clapped a large hand on his shoulder, sending a goofy smile in Goten’s direction.

“That’s nice and all, but…where’d he go?”

“…Well…I’m not sure… Trunks was training with me and Vegeta when Bulma came in talking about how Trunks was back. I didn’t know what was going on or anything, but Trunks was excited and Vegeta actually SMILED, so I figured something major had to be going on. Bulma told me to go tell mom and I did, and then mom started getting excited too. So I got excited. She told me to tell you, and here I am.” Goten beamed. “Aren’t you excited?!”

“Ummm…”

Gohan grinned and laughed suddenly, pounding his fist into his hand. “Well, don’t you know what this means?!” Two blank faces returned his gaze. He stifled an eye roll. “It means,” he began patiently, “that Trunks is back from the future!”

“Oohhhh!!!” father and son said together, and Gohan could almost see the neurons firing in their heads.

“Huh, I can’t believe I didn’t sense his energy before now!” Goku chirped. “Hey, let’s go say hi, boys!”

They nodded their assent and touched Goku’s arm. Goku brought two fingers to his forehead and focused on the ki signatures at Capsule Corporation, teleporting the three of them to the desired destination. They reappeared in the Capsule Corporation living room, where several of the other senshi had already gathered.

“Goku!” Krillin called.

His permanent grin in tact, he moved to where the others were. Bulma rushed out of the crowd of warriors to settle her hands on his shoulders. “I’m so glad you guys are finally here! Goten, what took you so long! Chichi got here a long time ago, and I expected… Anyway,” she bubbled.

Goku laughed. “Bulma, slow down.”

“I can’t help it! My baby’s back!” She hurried towards the couch, pulling her son from the future to a standing position and hugging him tightly. He smiled and patted her back shyly.

“It’s good to have you back, Trunks,” Gohan said. “It’s been so long since we’ve seen you.”

Mirai Trunks nodded then tilted his head to side, glancing him up and down. He smiled. “You’ve grown a lot,” he commented, and Gohan grinned in response.

Goku watched as everyone buzzed around the newcomer, the words being spoken only vaguely registering in his head as he stared. The time traveler had very obviously grown as well, no longer the teenager he had been when he left, but now an older man of almost thirty. His violet locks caressed his broad shoulders, and his hands gestured as he conversed with Goku’s oldest son. Goku gazed at Mirai Trunks with a deceptively blank eye, but within the confines of his mind he imagined how it would feel to grab a fistful of those purple strands, bringing that luscious mouth to his in a fiery kiss. He imagined the feel of Trunks’ body pressed against his, the feel of his hardness against his stomach, the sensation of filling the handsome man completely. He imagined Trunks calling out for him, and suddenly felt his lust seeping from his imagination to other portions of his anatomy.

Goku stopped himself, pushing the thoughts away, not wanting his desire to show. He searched his mind for something to rattle him out of his lewd state of mind.

Master Roshi touching himself.

Goku shuddered and only barely repressed a grimace of disgust.

“Dad?”

“Yeah?”

“You not hungry or something?” Goten asked, concern lacing his voice.

“What? Food? Right now??”

The Saiya-jin immediately returned to reality, paying no heed to the raised eyebrows around him. His eyes darted around the room, searching desperately for the implied presence of food. The others laughed at his usual obsession, and Goku used the distraction to sneak glances at Mirai Trunks, feeling his arousal stirring as he caught the amused smirk on the time traveler’s lips. He closed his eyes.

…Dead puppies…dead, still bleeding puppies…

Bulma announced that the food was outside and everyone started for the door. Goku grinned, his mind now mostly focused on anything edible. As he moved with everyone else, he vaguely wondered what was happening to him. He remembered thinking that Trunks was handsome the first time he had seen him, but it was only a fleeting observation, and no other thoughts this passionate had ever occurred. To be honest, he never been aroused this much by anyone, not even his wife, except when the moon was… Goku frowned. As he reached the hallway, he overheard Mirai Trunks talking to his younger counterpart.

“Apparently Goku hasn’t changed.”

“Did you really think he would?” the present Trunks asked.

Mirai Trunks chuckled, agreeing with his other self. As they exited the dome-shaped building, they saw picnic tables piled high with enough food to fill ten Saiya-jins. The tiny robots of Capsule Corporation scurried about and Goten, always fascinated with the compact machinery, poked one repeatedly and called his best friend over to explain to him yet again how it’s possible for the shiny objects to exist. The shorter blue-eyed boy rolled his eyes and glanced meaningfully at his future self.

“And this is only the tip of the iceberg, you know?”

Mirai Trunks gave a smiled that tried, and failed miserably, to be sympathetic. He watched his counterpart meet his friend, and explain to him in an uncharacteristically patient voice the concept of engineering.

“Trunks?”

“Hm?”

The long-haired man turned to see Goku with a pair of chopsticks gripped loosely in his hand. Goku motioned for Trunks to follow him to an area slightly away from everyone else.

“Trunks…” he began, pausing as the man leaned against the tree behind him, the waning sunlight casting shadows across his angular features. “Do you plan to stay long?”

He shrugged. “I was thinking about staying permanently. But I haven’t really decided yet.”

“You should stick around for a while.” Goku nodded. “I mean, it’s been so long since you’ve been around. Bulma’s really happy to see you. Heh, even Vegeta’s really happy to see you.”

He smiled and shrugged, not knowing how to respond. He was aware of Goku’s gaze, and he averted his eyes to anything other than the powerful man in front of him. Trunks leaned his head back and stared at the darkening atmosphere.

“The sky’s so much clearer here,” Trunks said softly after a moment’s silence. Goku nodded. “I haven’t seen the stars in years.”

“Yeah,” he replied, his lust inadvertently pervading his tone.

Trunks caught the desire in his voice and widened his eyes when he noted the hungry stare on Goku’s countenance. They were now somehow uncomfortably close, and Trunks pressed his back even more firmly against the tree.

“Uh, and the moon…” he continued nervously.

“…Is almost full…” Goku finished, planting his hands on the bark of the tree, and dipped his head to capture Trunks’ lips in a rough and passionate kiss.

I hope this didn’t move as fast as I like to think it did. But anyway, I do foresee a lemon in the near future. In the second chapter? I don’t know… But it is coming.
