Warnings: This story deals with some very serious issues like self abuse, mental health, and drug use and how the Gundam Boys learn to recoperate from these things. If these things make you faint at heart I suggest you don\'t read this story.

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot. That\'s right nothing but the plot so don\'t sue me. I can\'t stand it when people sue people when they clearly have stated they do not own the characters mentioned or any other familiar place mentioned in the story. I OWN NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author\'s Note: I hope this story ends up being the serious emotional thing I want it to be and that the ending comes and leaves everybody feeling better. Lets all hope that this story grabs your heart, stomps on it, and puts it back and expects it to beat properly that way one will always remember it. I my self have delt with these issues so I hope that I portay them well. By the way most of this is in Trowa\'s POV but there are chapters in other characters POV\'s so I hope its not to confusing.

Chapter One
The Weapon Malfunctions


Nobody saw it coming, just one look at him and you\'d expect everything to be fine. Not even Quatre knew it was coming and he\'s our empath. But the most surprising thing is when it happened, because he was the least likely to lose it during such an important event. I mean he practically lived for things like it, and to see him loose it during one of those was just shocking all in itself.

One Heero Yuy lost it during a mission, not just any mission, but one where he was protecting Relena noless. And to top it off a fire fight had broken out moments before the break down. I watched as he tossed his weapon to the floor like it was desiesed and started screaming his hands knotted in his dark chocolate hair. What did he scream you wonder?

\"Stop it! No more! I-i-i-i-i I can\'t take it!!!! N-n-no Peace, I have no peace. None. Not again, didn\'t mean to, not her not her.\"

I didn\'t know what he was talking about, but from the look Wufei had on his face as he ran over to take Heero\'s postion I\'d asume he had. Wufei looked grim as he grabed ahold of Heero and looked into his face. He\'d said something to him but I couldn\'t tell what, and shortly after that Heero stoped screaming and pulling on his hair slumping onto Wufei. Wufei signaled for the medic crew to come assist with the fallen comrade and that was the end of the night.

Une decided that the event would be cancled and also held a quick private meeting with Sally. I\'d guess that Sally had been asigned to evaluate Heero\'s mental stats which I already knew the amswer to. Everybody was worried as we waited outside of the room while Sally did her thing, whatever that was.

When she exited you could guess who went in first, and that was Relena. All the four of us heard was her loud voice sobbing about how she was worried and if there was anything she could do just ask. We didn\'t hear Heero\'s reply if there even was one, and Relena walked out looking worse than she had before. That worried me a little more than I care to admitt, had Heero told her off?

Quatre shot in there beating Duo who was upset he had been beaten. I could hear Quatre\'s calm and quite voice and once again no reply. Quatre came out shaking his head form side to side with a dissapointed look and mouthed nothing to me. So Heero wasn\'t answering anybody.

Duo went in afterward and oddly enough said nothing other than \"Hey Hee-chan,\" as he opened the door in his usual cheeriness. After that I watched, through a crack of the blinds, the two of them sit in silence both staring out the window. Duo\'s hand was over Heero\'s still one and ha had a small smile on his face. When Duo came out he just smiled a sad smile at the three of us and kept the door open for me to enter.

I just stood there akwardly, unlike myself to do so, and remembered the last time he was lying in bed with me standing about. It had been during the war and I\'d saved him from near death or more accordingly had brought him back. At least that\'s how Heero considered it. His comment still made me smile from time to time and it had done so then as well.

I looked down to see him looking at me empty like and it made me tense. I hadn\'t expected him to be that far gone, not him, not the steeple of our group. my eyes saddened and I found my self on the verge of pitty but held myself in check. He was sick and that was the last thing he needed at the moment. I bowed my respect and turned away from him keeping the door open for the final member of our group.

As I was quietly closing the door I heard Wufei talk to Heero as though nothing was wrong and I almost stopped him from the insult that insued but stoped when Heero himself replied.

\"I should have know you\'d have no sympathy at all.\" Heero replied with a small ironic smile.

Wufei snorted Before commenting back. \"As if I\'d change myself to siut the moment.\"

\"I really did fuck up back there didn\'t I.\" Heero stated more than asked.

\"I don\'t think I have to answer that Yuy.\"

\"No, no you don\'t.\" Heero said quietly turning his head away towards the window. \"Wufei I\'m tired of being the one sacrificing myself for others. Is that a selfish thing?\"

I watched, through the crack of the door I\'d left, Wufei\'s facial expression grow distant and he slightly hugged his upper body before repling. \"No, it\'s expected.\"

I almost snorted, I for one had not seen this coming, and Wufei had he should have given the rest of us a heads up.

\"So you don\'t think me weak?\" Heero asked sounding unsure, which yet another surprising and unsettling thing to hear and witness.

\"Being tired is not a weakness its a fact of life.\" Wufei answered.

\"I\'m not going to hurt anymore Wufei, I refuse. I\'m going to find it, I need it.\" Heero finished.

Wufei looked confused a moment but then nodded as if he knew the answer to Heero\'s riddle. I didn\'t undersatnd it then, at all, but I left it alone. I hurried away from the door as Wufei walked towards it and I saw his siloett nod once again for something Heero had murmured. Opening and closing the door Wufei looked as though he\'d covered ten years of his life and then sent a glare my way. I should have know Wufei would know I\'d been listening in, but I just looked at him as if I didn\'t know why I was being glared at. After that he just turned away and left.

Shortly after Heero checked out he droped off the map completely. No one could find him, no paper trail had he left. All that anyone knew that nothing horrible had happened was the \'I quit\' note on Relena\'s desk the following morning. Ofcaorse the note also said don\'t look for me but that didn\'t stop anybody from doing so.

Relena refused to do any political meetings and confrences for the first month of his MIA saying she didn\'t feel safe with anyone else\'s protection. After that Une convinced her it was better to carry on as though nothing was wrong lest people would think that the world order was falling apart. Une was down right in histarics without her number one agent three years in a role missing. Needless to say the preventer\'s savings went down the drains for nothing for that first year.

Duo hadn\'t seemed all that surprised by Heero\'s bold moved and even went as far as to go around and anouce Heero was fighting the power. Sure he joked around about it but we could tell that he was hurt that Heero would just run off and not tell him where he was. Quatre was so upset that one of his older sisters had to run the company for awhile until he got back on his feet. He blamed himself for the whole thing, because he hadn\'t felt any of it coming and if he had he would have been able to stop it. I was alright with it, a little bewildered at his random dissapearance, but okay none the less.

Wufei walked around as usual, acted like himself, did his duties like the good employee he was, but something in his face told me he had been the most affected by it. I figured it was probably the fact that he\'d been the last person to talk to the man, and that he thought he had the answer to his ware abouts some where in his mind. Yet Wufei hadn\'t even blinked a eye when we\'d gotten word of Heero\'s MIA, which lead me to believe Heero had indeed subliminally told him he was leaving and maybe he had told him where he was headed. But that had to of been done when I couldn\'t hear them and that\'s also when Wufei nodded.

I didn\'t think beating around the bush would work with him so I decided that the direct aproach was best.

\"Did he tell you?\" I asked randomly four months after Heero had left.

\"In a way, but I shouldn\'t have to tell you that.\" He said snidely without looking up at the papers he was looking over.

\"So you know where he is then.\" I guessed.

\"Don\'t be rediculous.\" Wufei grummbled.

\"Why didn\'t you tell us?\"

\"He didn\'t want me to.\" He replied matter-of-factly.

\"Is that what he said when you-\"

\"All he said was my name, I nodded because I understood.\" Wufei answered me quickly. \"Now if you\'d please leave I have work to do.\"

With that said I knew he\'d talk no more and I\'d find out nothing more. So I was where I\'d been before I\'d asked which I\'d wasted my breath. I guess you could say it had been worth a try, and I guess it had been in away, because it set my mind at ease for some reason. The only thing Wufei knew more than me was nothing, and that was great to know. I could still trust Wufei.

Little did I know then was Wufei I was hurting enough to follow Heero in his actions. I supose Wufei was \"tired\" as well and felt the same as Heero had, because early the next moring I heard Duo\'s voice on my answering machien asking me to please pick up because he knew I was there. I picked it up and looked into the most heart broken eyes ever and found myself shocked once again at his next words.

\"Fei\'s gone Tro. He fuckin\' left me.\" Duo said voice void of any emotion.

A year three days two hours and fifteen minutes after Heero had left Wufei had followed suit. Just when eveybody asumed everything was returnting back to normal the bastard had to go and throw everything off again.
