In My Dreams
Yes, allow me to pointlessly torture poor Roy...or let Kimbly do it. Kimbly/Roy, Ed/Roy
I still don\'t own FMA...but that doesn\'t mean I can\'t pick on my favorite characters.
What remained of Ishbal was now burning. Roy Mustang laid on the floor of his tent in the military encampment near by. It was his fault. He’d been the one who killed those people, people on his own side of the battle. He was young and had no choice but to follow orders. Still, he felt guilty. It was the kind of guilt he knew he would carry for a long time. He felt hot tears running down his cheeks. Suddenly there was a voice behind him.
“What are you doing on the floor, Mustang-kun?” the voice was full of fake sweetness. Roy pressed his eyes shut, not wanting to see the man who that voice belonged too.
“Just leave me alone, Kimbly.” He pulled himself up.
“How could I leave my favorite pet when he’s so obviously hurting?”
Roy looked up at Kimbly, eyes burning as much as his alchemy.
“I said, leave me the fuck alone!” he pulled a knife and ran at the other. Kimbly caught his arm and threw him off balance. The knife went flying and Roy fell again.
“I see you want to be difficult. You know what happens to you when you’re like that.” All trace of sweetness, fake or otherwise, vanished from his voice. He smirked wickedly at Roy.
“You get punished.”
The younger man pressed his eyes shut and shook his head.
“No…please don’t…”
Kimbly advanced on him. Before Roy could put up much of a fight he felt handcuffs close around his wrists.
“You sick bastard!” he growled, trying to kick the other. He didn’t dare make too much noise. If anyone found out what Kimbly did to him Roy would be disgraced forever.
“Now, now. You know I don’t like that kind of talk.” The older man tore a strip of fabric from Roy’s already tattered uniform and forced it into his mouth, effectively silencing him. Then he picked up the fallen knife and sliced open the rest of his clothes. Roy struggled with the handcuffs. He knew what would happen if he couldn’t get away. It would be just like the other times Kimbly had gotten hold of him. Blood began to flow from his wrists where the metal cut him. Then Kimbly was inside him. Roy tired to scream, not caring who heard. This had to stop now, but it didn’t. He felt the other begin to thrust into him and he fought to keep more tears from falling.
“You know you deserve this, don’t you, Roy?” Kimbly hissed “for killing those doctors. What else would you deserve?” He dug his nails into Roy’s chest, drawing more blood. The younger man felt the other’s pace quicken as he grew more violent and closer to release. Maybe he did deserve this. Maybe he should be punished. Reason told him no one deserved what Kimbly was doing to him, but something else screamed that it was only fair. Then the other man came. A second later he pulled out of Roy and stood to get redressed, leaving his victim bleeding an miserable on the ground. When he was sure Roy had no fight left in him he took off the handcuffs and gag. The younger man reminded completely silent and still except for whimpering quietly. As soon as Kimbly left Roy began to cry in earnest. He was too confused to even begin to comprehend what had just happened to him. The there was a hand on his shoulder, shaking him gently.
“Roy?” he heard someone calling him. They sounded worried.
“Roy! Wake up!” He opened his eyes. Until now he hadn’t even been aware they were closed. Edward Elric was hovering over him. When he saw that his lover was awake he pulled him close.
“It’s alright.” Ed soothed. “I’ve got you now. You don’t have to cry anymore.”
Roy was even more confused now. It had all been a dream? But that had really happened. He’d blocked it out for years, but on this night hit had chosen to resurface.
“Ed, what happened?” he asked weakly
“I don’t know, but you were screaming. Must have been one hell of a dream.” He shifted so they were both in a more comfortable position and he could support his lover better.
“Yeah, but that’s all it was. A dream.” Roy was more trying to reassure himself than Ed. He thought be was beyond having nightmares about Ishbal, but apparently he wasn’t.
“Tell me about it?” Ed asked “maybe I can help.”
“I can’t” Roy whispered. It was true. Discussing what he’d done and how he’d been punished for it was more than he could do. Looking back he realized he still believed what Kimbly had told him, that he deserved what he got.
“Yes you can. You can tell me anything. I thought you would have realized that by now.” He kissed Roy gently. The other remained still for a moment, but then held up his hands. In the dim light of the bedroom Ed could faintly make out old scars on his wrists. He’d noticed them before, but never said anything. At first he’d been afraid that Roy had tired to kill himself, but after awhile had come to the conclusion that it looked more like the other had been restrained somehow.
“Were you arrested or something?” he hoped it didn’t sound too insensitive.
“I wish” Roy laughed bitterly. “No, it’s not that at all.” Soon he found himself confessing the whole story to Ed. The blond held his lover tighter when he reached a part that was particularly hard for him to tell. When he was finished Roy turned away from Ed, hanging his head in disgrace.
“I’ll understand if you don’t want to be with me anymore.” He said. To his surprise he felt Ed’s human hand connect with this cheek. He held the spot where the other alchemist had slapped him, looking hurt.
“How dare you say I wouldn’t want to be with you! And think that you deserved what happened for all this time!” Ed yelled. Then his features softened again. “You know I’d love you whatever happened.” He took Roy’s face in his hands, forcing him to look into Ed’s eyes.
“I love you, Roy Mustang. Everything about you. What happened in your past doesn’t matter to me, except that it’s hurting you now. I want to help you.” He kissed Roy again, and this time the other kissed him back, letting the younger man explore his mouth.
“I love you too, Edward. And I don’t deserve you.”
“We don’t deserve each other then.” Ed whispered, wrapping his arms around the other.
“We’ve both been punished for what we’ve done. Neither of us deserved it, but it happened anyway. And now we’ve got each other, and I don’t know about you, but to me you’re all I need right now.”
“You know you’re all I’ll ever need.”
“Good. Then no more tears, and no more nightmares. I’ll keep you safe from your past if you do the same for me.”
Roy nodded. He knew what Ed was saying didn’t make much sense, but right now it made him feel better. He knew Ed was with him through everything, and that lone was enough.
