Summary: Forced into a life he doesn\'t want to live, Wufei is trapped in circumstances that threaten his love, his honor, and his life.
Author\'s Note: The world this takes place in is loosely based off Earth, so if you see similarities, don\'t freak out. Also, this fanfiction is YAOI; flames will be returned to sender. If you don\'t bother being polite, why should we bother listening? Also, the prologue begins as a journal for a reason. Wufei is six, so don\'t hold the simplicity of the language against us.

I left home today. I will go with Teacher O. I will learn many things. He said to do everything O says. I am in one of Mother\'s stories. I am a great adventurer. I will leave and return much stronger than now. I can\'t wait to show Father how strong I will be. Father will be pleased. Teacher O knows so much. I am sure I will be stronger, and will bring honor to my family. That is why I am going. Our ancestors made a great mistake, and I will make it better.

I can\'t go home. I asked Master O when I see Father and Mother again, and he said not until my family\'s debt is paid. He said like he meant \'never\'. I don\'t like it here. I want to go home. I even want to see Mieran. I don\'t like her much, but I know her. There\'s no one here like me. And if I could see Mieran, I could see Father and Mother.

It is done. I didn\'t think she\'d scream so much, and Master O didn\'t tell me that there would be so much blood. It was unsettling. She was sleeping. Father said that it is dishonorable to attack women, and the defenseless. So, I woke her up, and gave her my other katana. I can fight just as well with one as with two. Master O said she was an assassin, but she didn\'t fight very well. She seemed confused too. At the end, there was a lot of blood. I had to clean the katanas on the curtains. I would have used the bedding, but she fell back on it, and it was not clean or dry. I will never forget this night. I do not want to forget this. I have killed. It is done.

Another mission arrived, but it\'s strange. Even I know who my next target is. I\'ve never been to the palace before. O has never ordered me to kill someone so close to him before. Why now. No. I will not ask that; it is not my place. Still, I can\'t help but wonder. This will make 2,649.

As for regular updates, Tsuchi will be doing most of the writing, but she still has to ask for advice/commentary/permission from Pudin\', so it might take a while. (Pudin\'s going off to the wild out back of Canada known as Alberta.) So the only contact we\'ll have will be through e-mail for the next nine-ten months. BUT! If we get ten reviews, we\'ll work our little godzilla behinds off to get it out as fast as possible, ignoring rain, shine, food, sleep, and hygiene.
