Intoxication made things easier. Emotional walls constructed
around the heart day after day, came tumbling down under the easy seduction of
alcohol. Not too much of course. No, too much would leave the mind unresponsive
and incoherent. Dangers that ones revered for their common sense and their
strength of presence would always wish to avoid.

Fortunately for intelligent people such as this, moderation was a
concept understood well. To know when just enough really was just enough.

It was something that Kai had never even considered before that
night, and yet now he berated himself for not understanding sooner.
Understanding that with just enough of intoxication, one could say and do
things that normal reservations would prevent.

Before that night, his desires existed only as fantasy,
held in check by strict emotional buffers within his own mind. He had found
himself appalled and disgusted by the displays that his peers had often shown
after guzzling down booze in a desperate attempt to look more grown up than
they actually were.

They were fools. He was better than them. He knew this well, and
yet, that very night he had found himself standing, drink in hand beginning to
understand the secret to it all.

His strict self-control ebbed slowly away, allowing him to say the
things that he had always wished to say. Do the things that he wished to do.
That cloying feeling of self- oppression had slipped away, leaving him feeling
free to express himself, after so many years of repressing it.

Importantly to him for a reason he found obscure, he had found
that the alcohol that he had consumed had finally given him the courage to
smile- a heartfelt and dazzling smile of appreciation to the one that he loved
as he leaned against him for support, leaving the other stunned and hesitating
in their journey to their shared room. He quite happily traded -and would
again, any other time- his sense of his balance for the ability to show his
devotion for the first time without his usual guard.

Upon reaching and entering their bedroom, he had tossed aside any
last remnants of doubt and pulled his beloved into a desperate hug, holding him
close with his powerful arms.

To his absolute delight, shy arms had snaked around his own torso,
returning the embrace.

After wasting years on brooding over lost chances, Kai's grip had
tightened as determination flared up in him, daring him to let this opportunity
come into fruition.

From the moment that he had pressed his lips to the others in a
searing and much longed for kiss, he had sealed their fate.

He fell back onto the bed with his new lover clasped in his arms,
pinning him down as he planted hot kisses almost frantically across his
beautiful skin, seductively revealed as clothing was pulled away. The other
writhed upon the sheets, tossing his head from side to side; quiet whimpers
falling from his lips, driving him wild.

His own clothing came off, leaving them bare and pressing against
one another and he groaned, deep in his throat as he felt his body burn in holy
fire.

Animalistic lust surged through his every nerve like electricity,
driving him onwards. So intense, it made him feel almost like he was dying when
their bodies melted into one. An answering cry saved him from passing out from
the powerful assault of pleasure and passion filled him once more, fuelling him
on.

He panted as he moved; the frantic dancing of their bodies numbed
his mind in a hazy fog leaving him only able to feel. And what sensations they
were, driving him almost to the brink of madness with each burst of pleasure he
was experiencing and each cry that sounded from the glorious creature beneath
him. His movements grew wilder and almost violent as his need soared, leaving
him gasping for breath.

Their frenzied dance neared its crescendo, his red eyes slit as
his face contorted in almost agonising ecstasy. Red, the colour of passion- his
passion. It was all that he could see. Red checks, red sheets, red lips, red
marks. When he closed his eyes, still, all he could see was red as his wildly
beating heart pounded blood around his body.

And then his world turned white as the heat within his body reached
it�s peak and spilled over; taking all of his energy with it as pleasant
tremors ran through him.

He collapsed as his strength drained away, falling onto the soft
body of his new mate. Happiness relaxed his body as a profound sense of
completeness settled over him. Kai smiled a smile of satisfaction as he nestled
his head into the others neck, inhaling deeply, even as he tried to catch his
breath.

Tired beyond belief, he drew his lover closer in a secure hold so
that no one would ever take him away from him. Almost asleep, he remembered
that he had yet to voice his feelings, though he believed that his actions had
showed that well enough.

" 'love you Rei." He mumbled, holding Rei closer still as he lost
himself to his dreams.

Rei laid unmoving, fingers still wrapped tightly within the darkly
stained sheets, pinned beneath Kai's unconscious body. Staring at the ceiling,
golden eyes blank but for the silent tears of heart break that he did not have
the strength to wipe away trailing down his face and landing upon the crisp
white pillow.
