Roy grinned. It was that slow, almost evil grin, the same one he wore when he
was about to decimate a building into ashes, when he was about to throw a snide
remark about the size of a certain blond state alchemist, the one that made
Hawkeye prepare to clean up a monumental mess and which generally had his
troops in line.
In short it was the Hannibal Roy Grin.
Ed felt the hair on his neck stand to end and turned to find the dark grey eyes
fixed intently on him. He narrowed his eyes, but then caught sight of the grin.
Roy liked Ed in many ways, he liked his temper and he liked him against a wall.
He liked his 'my way or the highway' approach to work and life in general and
he liked him bent over his desk too. He liked the silly braid of golden hair
and he liked those pouty lips around himself. He liked the flash of defiance in
the golden eyes and he liked the small hands curling and clawing against his
back.
But if it was one thing Roy liked in Ed the most, it was to see him blush.
Seeing the rosy color raise on the pale skin, tinting it with a warm glow as
the younger man was overcome with anger or embarrassment or pleasure or
delight... Roy liked the way Ed blushed, noting with an inner sense of glee how
the color spread down his neck, past his collarbones and almost to his navel,
making the pert nipples stand out almost painfully in contrast.
Yes, Roy liked Ed in many ways, and there were a lot of reasons for him to
grin. That morning, however, even if he was yearning for caffeine, he grinned,
because Ed would see it. And Ed didn't disappoint him.
He flushed.
