Summer Storm
Disclaimer: I down own FMA. I wish I did though.
Warnings: Meh, nothing really. Sap and fluff. Some
OOCness.
A/N: A quick little thing I wrote in about fifteen
minutes. I’m quite pleased with it, though. Enjoy! <3
The rumble of thunder was what drew Roy Mustang out of his
fitful sleep. Summer had hit Central, bringing its heat waves and humidity, and
that was never good for sleeping. Fans could only do so much, and it was even
worse when you slept with someone like Edward Elric. The teenager always clung
in his sleep, like he was afraid he’d wake up all alone. Usually,
it was hotter than Hell, with the humidity to match, well…it could get quite
annoying.
The colonel groaned a bit as he rolled onto his back, kicking
the sheets away from his legs. Both he and his lover slept in the nude, more
because of the heat than any real activities that might be happening. It was
too damn hot to make love. That and the fact that Fullmetal had just recently
gotten back from another mission and was still catching up on his sleep. At
times, he really did feel guilty about sending Edward on so many missions, but
he knew, in the end, it was for both of their benefits.
Speaking of Edward,
blinked as he looked down at the otherwise empty bed. Ed had gone to sleep the
same time he had, and with how exhausted he’d been, he hadn’t expected the
younger alchemist to be awake anytime before noon the next day. A quick glance
at his watch told him it was three in the morning, no where near the time any
normal human being should be up. Not that Edward could be classified as
‘normal’, but still.
A flash of lightening, followed by a clap of thunder drew
It was pouring outside, the summer storm helping to cut through some of the
humidity. Frowning a bit, the Flame Alchemist rose and grabbed his light
bathrobe, trying it at his waist and heading out of his bedroom. Edward had to
be around someplace. The boy always stuck close to
would be any different tonight.
Instinct led him out the front door, despite the rain, it
taking his eyes a moment to adjust. Despite the military’s insistence, he’d
taken a small house outside of the city, preferring the privacy to anything
else. But despite all the privacy, he’d never expected this. Dark eyes widened when he spotted Ed, dressed in nothing but
a pair of loose sleeping pants, his hair down around his shoulders and his arms
spread wide, head thrown back to let the rain soak him. Another flash of
lightening highlighted the boy even better, and all
never seen Ed look so…unguarded, except when he was in the throes of passion.
Right now, he looked like the sixteen year old he really was, not the boy with
the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Sensing he wasn’t alone, Ed opened his eyes and looked over
his shoulder, a broad grin splitting his face. “
twirling around in the rain. It was obvious that he didn’t care if the storm
was soaking him, or that he was acting so much like the child that he said he
wasn’t.
wasn’t going to forget this moment ever, no matter what happened.
Smiling, the Colonel merely leaned back against the
doorframe, content on just watching his young lover dance and play in the rain.
It wasn’t long before Ed came to him though, all wet and happy and childish.
Mismatched arms wrapped around
neck, pulling the taller man down, the kiss sweet and tasting like the summer
rain. Uncaring he was getting wet, he pulled Edward closer to him, though the
boy ended up pulling away with a carefree laugh. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> A playful grin tugged at Ed’s lips before he
moved into the house,
not far behind.
They never made it to the bedroom,
favorite recliner. The chair was ugly as sin; bright red that clashed with
everything in Roy’s home, but Ed loved it. And while he’d never admit it, it style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>was comfortable.
soaked sleep pants were tossed to the side before the boy climbed into his
lover’s lap, lips meeting again in a loving kiss.
Their lovemaking was slow and more personal and intimate
than
ever experienced. Ed spent half the time, once connected with him, telling him
breathlessly about his past. How his mother and Al and himself had all played
in the rain during spring and summer showers. It wasn’t the only story Ed
shared, there were many, and for the first time ever,
Elric; not the guilty boy who believed he was paying for his sins. It was
something he’d always cherish, for he knew that he may never see it again. At
least not until Ed had completed his goal, and restored his brother.
The afterglow was just as sweet; soft murmurings and stories
of both their pasts were shared. In the end,
father would his son, laying his lover out before cleaning them up. Once
everything was complete,
slid back into bed with Ed, smiling as the boy instantly cuddled up to him. It
was where he belonged, the Colonel decided. And he was going to fight anyway he
could to make sure Ed obtained his goal and atoned for his sin; because only
when things were finished, for both of them, could they be happy. In
was merely a glimpse into what their future held.
