Depressing Diary

Alphonse Elric stared down at his diary, that wasn't written in for so long. He planned on using it until he finds his brother. But it felt pointless after a year and a half passed by, and no signs of his dear brother. Just looking at the brown leather book made him want to cry. Cry for his failure, and negative thoughts of giving up. The diary made him look down on himself...

But there was always one person who gave him support. Sure there were others to give him plenty of good support, except this paticular person was also sad...well kinda for his own reason is Al's guess. But he took it as they both were on the same boat.

Al sighed and narrowed his eyes, thinking of Roy Mustang. He wondered what he was up to. Nobody really knows, for he was out doing work out somewhere else far away. It was hard connecting with him, so Alphonse would walk there. He had nothing else to do...and he wanted to talk, and see what was up.

Alphonse walked in the deep snow while it blizzard. He shivered, feeling his hands go numb under his gloves. He had second thoughts when he turned down Winry's advise to take a extra, EXTRA jacket. He exhailed and coughed at the same time, tasting the cold flakes in his mouth. Then, finally he reached his destination. He looked up at the lonely cabin, smiling. "Roy?!" He called the older man's first name. He had permission.

There was a faint noise in the cabin, and the door slowly opened. "Hurry get in, I don't want snow to get in." Roy said. Alphonse ran to the door and walked in, taking off his scarf and red trench coat. He looked up at the dark haired man with an eye patch and smiled, bowing a little. "Sorry for not visiting lately."

Roy waved his hand to say it was alright. "I wouldn't expect anyone to visit me daily." Roy led the boy to a warmer room with a fire place in the small cabin. "You want some coffee?" Roy offered. He knew Al doesn't drink coffee like his brother, but it wouldn't hurt to ask anyways. "No thank you." Al smiled. "Do you have cocolate milk?"

Roy cringed. He had no other drinks. Just coffee and water, nothing else. "Um...sorry, just water." All Al can do was shrug and nod his head. "Alright. I'll take water."

The two of them sat down, and Al told him about his problem. He allowed the man to read his diary. The 'hmm', and "huhs' got him nervous and looked down at his empty glass. "Don't laugh..." Roys attention went back to Al. "Laugh at what?" Al brought his knees up to his chest. "Another reason why I stopped is because writting in diaries is kinda girly-ish to me..."

That amused Roy. "Really? Never knew you go that deep with it." He smirked and looked down at the book again. Al blushed and looked to his side, waiting for the dark haired man to finish. He heard a 'thunk' and looked up. "So?" Roy rubbed is right eye. Al was anxious to hear his thoughts.

"Well...it's interesting..." Roy answered honestly, and that was all he could say. "You just need to relax. You have so much stress..." The boy looked down. "That's it? There's nothing else wrong?" He recieved a no answer.

"Just sleep here tonight, or even a week. You're thinking about your brother way too much."

Al wanted to object, but just bit his bottom lip and nods. "I have nothing with me..." He whined. "I didn't expect to stay..." Roy smiled and got up. "I have some clothes, but they're kinda big, so bare with me."

Al blushed again and stood up. He was handed clothes and; mainly large shirts; and a new tooth brush.

"Umm...I'll give you the bed." Roy offered, which Al was against. "No, no. I'm ok with the couch." Al smiled, and alughed nervously. Unfortunatly, Roy already nudged him towards the bed, and Al really didn't want to be a bothersome. "Fine. We'll share!" Al blurted out. Roy blinked, and the embarrassed Al looked up. "Alright, then we'll share the bed." Roy leaned on the bed, almost running Al over. Reminded Al of how a cat would carelessly walk over a small kitten...why is everything involved, and pictured with cats? Al shook his head. 'Whatever.'

Al waited for Roy to get relaxed before calmly laying next to him, cuddling and yawned. He curled up and dozed off into a deep sleep, dreaming of his brother.

To be continue...
