Author: Zimmerie Kanoah
Rating: Pg, but over all is R/NC17
Pairings: Read and find out.
Warnings: It’s unbeta-ed currently. As for this chapter in general there is nothing to note.
Genre: I’m not sure as of yet.
Disclaimer: I do not own Gundam Wing or anything associated to that show. If any of the other characters or places seem familiar that is purely coincidental and not intended. Any other known places that are mentioned such as stores or coffee shops I do not own either. And just for good measure I do not own any book title or copyright that is mentioned in this story. As for the special book that the main character reads I won that idea and title. Please so not steal. I am simply writing this story for the enjoyment of doing it and the enjoyment of others when they read. I am by no means making any kind of money.
Chapter One
Subtitle: The Bookshop
He craned his head back looking at the tall building in front of him. Four floors plus a basement down below for storage. Not to mention the first two floors had already been converted into a book shop. The brick building was in the center of all the commotion, right smack dab in the middle of the shopping district. It was a beautiful old building it had history he could feel it, but why so cheap?
Looking over at his friend, and thankfully real state agent, he gave the braided man a frown. There just had to be something very wrong with this place if it was so below sale value. Especially with the location and traffic. The man who was selling this had to be out of his mind.
“So what’s wrong with the place? The inside falling apart? Horrible electric?” HE questioned the other man.
“Nope, was recently remodeled on the inside. Fourth floor has a very nice open living space, complete with new state of the art appliances. Washer dryer, dishwasher, you name it this place has it.” he paused to look over at his frowning client and friend. “The bookshop area has a very nice reading area, even has a nice counter area for you to rent out to a coffee place of some sort.”
“Then why is it so low and under even my price range?” He questioned.
“Howa ‘bout we go in and have a look around first eh?” came his reply.
“It must be a horrible thing if you want me to fall in love before you break the news.” He commented dryly.
“Have some faith in me will ya?” The fellow man said walking towards the shop to open it up. “Besides Fee Fee why would I pick something that I would be sharing with you if it was absolutely horrific.”
He sighed dramatically smacking the back of his friends head. “Don’t call me Fee Fee that’s a woman’s name.”
“Yes yes Wu I’m aware of this fact.” The braided man said opening the door and stepping aside. “Welcome to what I believe will be the future home of one sexy bookworm.”
Glaring as he entered his breath caught when finally set his eyes on the place. Blue velvet banner carpeting laid upon the dark antique wood like the yellow brick road for Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. The carpet lead right to the seating area where it spanned out to hush footsteps for people who would be reading. Small tables with benches and bar stools were set to the sides for drinking coffee, tea or eating small snacks. Large floor to ceiling windows looked out onto a green garden with a Koi pond and miniature water fall.
Looking upward he followed the wooden banister of the second floor to the elegant spiral staircase that wrapped it’s way down to the back of the store where dark wood shelving hid it away. It was such a beautiful place, the perfect place to loose yourself in tales of far away places, and heroic epic battles on distant planets. Wufei found himself completely enamored with the bookstore he new he didn’t need to see anything else.
Walking back towards the large glass windows, his eyes soft and far away in his world of comfort and home, yes home he thought to himself. “I’ll take it.” HE sadi wistfully.
Duo smirked he just new his childhood friend all to well. He had known from the very beginning when the price had dropped so dramatically and landed on his desk. HE had stopped buy quickly to check out the area himself, he too doubting it was what it said it was on paper. Everything was how it should be, the only flaw was the tragic death of the old owner. Nobody seemed to want a place where a guy hung himself.
“So I should call the seller and get the paper work ready to go then.”
“Yes.”
“Good, cuz I just loved the office I’ll be in from now on.” With that Duo left Wufei to continue fantasying about his new place of business and home.
