Summary:
Duo dreams of an angel that saves him from pain.
I once dreamed I was floating in darkness. I tried to move,
but couldn’t. Tendrils of darkness coiled around me. I couldn’t breathe. Where
ever the tendrils touched my naked skin, it burned, but I couldn’t scream.
Then, the darkness around me turned to deep cobalt. An angel with tanned skin
and pure white wings wrapped his arms around me. It was warm and safe. The
tendrils disappeared as the pure light from his wings pierced them. He smiled
at me; his soft lips were against mine. I no longer felt any pain. His wings
clothed me as we flew into the cobalt.
Duo awoke; his wounds he had received from a bad mission in
which he had been caught had been cleaned and bandaged. He looked up at Heero
who had been watching him sleep. He had saved him from his captors. The
Japanese boy had his arms around him tightly, but secure. Duo smiled and
snuggled against him. It hadn’t been a dream after all.
