Prologue

“Gohan!

Son Gohan woke up with a start, his onyx eyes snapping open. He groaned as he rolled over and pulled the covers over his head.

“Gohan!” His mother said as she came into his room.

When he continued to stay in bed she smirked as she pulled out what looked like a wooden stick and his covers were pulled away from him as if by magic.

“Mom!”

“Up! It’s time to wake up Gohan!”

“All right!” He grumbled as he sat up, rubbing his eyes as he did so.

“Good, now get dressed. Breakfast is almost ready.” She said as she left.

He sighed as he got out of his nice warm bed. He pulled on his purple gi and then pulled his white shirt over the top. Then he stumbled out of his room and walked down the stairs to the kitchen to where his mother was.

“Why couldn’t I stay in bed?” Gohan asked as he sleepily sat at the table.

“Because this came while you were still sleeping.” Chichi said as she handed her son a letter.

“Yes! It finally came!”

The letter was addressed to him:

Mr. G. Son
Bedroom on the left
Mt. Paotz
439 Mountain District

The envelope was thick and heavy, made of yellow parchment and it was written in emerald ink. Unlike most envelopes there was no stamp. Instead there was a purple wax seal on the back. It bore a coat of arms of a lion, an eagle, a badger, and a snake surrounding a large letter H.

He eagerly ripped open the letter and pulled it out.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDY

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)

Dear Mr. Son,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall

Chichi couldn’t bare the suspense of waiting for Gohan to read the letter.

“Well, did you get in?” She asked, her voice bursting with curiosity.

She was almost certain that she already knew the answer and couldn’t stop the smile over her face.

An excited grin broke over Gohan’s face, as he re-read the letter again to be sure. His onyx eyes sparkled as he looked up at his beaming mother.

“I got in!”

Of course he had.

“Congratulations, Gohan!”

Chichi embraced her eleven-year old son in her arms, her smile hidden in his spiky raven hair. He was going to have the time of his life at Hogwarts, just like she had. She had also gone to Hogwats when she was eleven and now her son was going as well. Her family were purebloods and have gone to Hogwarts for generations. She had home schooled her son in both the muggle word and the wizarding world to prepare him for whatever road he decided to take in life.

“Can we go to Diagon Alley today?” Gohan asked, breaking her out of her thoughts.

“Of course. We’ll use the Floo to go to Diagon Alley after we eat breakfast and we can pick up your Hogwarts supplies.”

“Yes! I can’t wait to get my own wand!” Gohan said excited at finally getting his own wand.

He had been using a used wand to practice magic but it never really seemed to suit him. He would be getting his own wand that will belong to him.

Chichi smiled at her son as he started to inhale his food in pure Saiyan fashion. She knew how long her son had been looking forward to going to Hogwarts. She had told him stories about all the adventures that she went through when she had gone to Hogwarts. Gohan had always dreamed of going to Hogwarts when he turned eleven and now he’ll finally be able to go.

After eating breakfast Chichi used her wand to clean all the dishes and they magically washed themselves. Then they prepared to go to Diagon Alley and stood in front of the fireplace. Chichi picked up the container that held the Floo powder in it and held it out to her son. He grabbed a handful of the powder and then threw it into the fireplace.

“Diagon Alley!” He shouted clearly and with a whoosh, he was gone.

Chichi also grabbed a handful of the Floo powder and shouted out “Diagon Alley!” and then followed her son. They ended up in a dark pub that was called the Leaky Cauldron and it served as the entrance into Diagon Alley. There were already other witches and wizards inside wearing different colored robes and sitting at tables.

Tom, the bartender grinned as he saw them coming out of the fireplace.

“Well I’ll be, hello Chichi! It’s been a while!” he said.

“Hello, Tom. It has been a few years since I’ve been here.” Chichi said smiling at him as she approached the bar with Gohan trailing behind her. “The place doesn’t look like it’s changed at all.”

“The pub never changes, it always stays the same.” He chuckled. “And who is this? Your son?”

“Yes, this is Gohan. He’ll be starting Hogwarts in September. Gohan, this is Tom. He owns the Leaky Cauldron.”

“Hello.” Said Gohan smiling.

“Good lord, Son Gohan?” Tom asked.

The Leaky Cauldron suddenly went completely silent.

“Yes?” Gohan said a little confused and wondering why everyone was staring.

Tom stepped out behind the bar and rushed over to Gohan.

“Honor to meet you Mr. Son.” He said shaking Gohan’s hand.

Then everyone else was up and rushed to meet Gohan as well. Gohan had no idea what was going on while Chichi sighed, having accepted that this would happen. Everyone was wanting to meet Gohan and shake his hand.

“Alright! Break it up!” Chichi said as she grabbed her son and pushed him away from the crowd, heading towards the back with a huff. “The nerve of them! Assaulting my son like that!”

“What was that all about mom?” Gohan asked still confused as his mother led him out into the courtyard.

Chichi sighed. “You’ve become famous in the wizarding world Gohan.” She informed him.

Gohan was shocked. “Why?” he asked.

“For defeating Cell.” She said.

“But I thought everyone believes that Hercule defeated Cell?” Gohan asked.

“In the muggle world but the wizarding world knows the truth. We aren’t as easy to fool as the muggles are. After all how could that pathetic muggle defeat Cell when not even witches or wizards could? Everyone knows you are the one who really defeated Cell, not Hercule. Everyone in the wizarding world knows your name. You’ve become just as famous as Harry Potter for saving the world from Cell.”

Great, everyone in the wizarding world knows who he is- that was why he let Hercule take the credit, he didn’t want the attention being famous would bring him.

“Now pay attention Gohan.” Chichi said as she pulled out her wand.

Gohan watched as she tapped the wall three times. She removed the tip and the brick she had tapped began to wiggle. Soon other bricks began wiggling out of the way and an archway appeared into what was once a solid brick wall.

“Welcome Gohan to Diagon Alley.”

****

A/N: I decided to do something a little different with this story. I’ve always read stories where Gohan is a muggleborn but never one where he already knows that he’s a wizard. I’m making Chichi a pureblood and her whole family will be witches and wizards. Gohan will be just as famous as Harry is for defeating Cell. I thought that he deserved to be recognized for saving the world.
