i didn't even realize it was so late, i was so engrossed with the chapter. ^.^ i even had tissue ready in case you threw out there that roy was dead. though, with the way this chapter shaped out to be, it could still end up either way, huh? *is nervous* and i'm kinda worried for winry... like, i keep thinking envy's going to rape her or something. or at least use her to trap al into working for whatever the hell they're after. and why didn't riza tell ed roy's 'last' words?! i mean, if they're going to shape up and continue down roy's road, that little meeting at her apartment seems to have been the only really appropriate time for the situation to be broached. unless, of course, my deep-seated fear is actually true, that riza is trying to break them up!! but, i don't think even she would do something like that, after hearing roy's true feelings for ed...

man, it doesn't even encompass how badly i want the next chapter to merely say 'i look forward to the next chapter.' but i'll wait patiently, i promise. and i still have that butcher's knife if roy is dead... *evil glint, then smile* good luck!!

ZAKAI!!! *sobs* Don't leave me hanging like this!!! T_T You big meanie! I gotta know if Roy is OK or...*wibbles*...not. *cries* I was right there with Ed having a big ol' pity party! We make quite the pair mourning for things we don't even know are true or not yet! :) Every time Ed yelled for someone to tell him something about Roy, I was there demanding it too although I was doing a lot more kicking and screaming than Ed was! LOL! *bonks self on head* dork. :P I loved it when Ed got Roy's jacket out of the closet and laid curled up on the bed with it wrapped around him! Anything to be close to him again! *sniffle* Oh! I know for sure now that I want this Douglas sonofabitch dead! When he said, "I want that little fuck to stay out of my way. This is my case, and I won�t have him sticking his nose in where it doesn�t belong.", OH!, it was all I could do not to want to reach in my computer and strangle him!!! grr!!!

Breda may have been a chore to write but I think you did an excellent job with him! He's great! You're totally right. Breda is definitely not the lazy buffoon he so often plays at. He's got the know-how to get the job done. Roy wouldn't have anyone in his inner circle who couldn't. So Breda wants Ed to temporarily take Roy's place huh? hmm. The phrase "and a child shall lead them" for some reason comes to mind! (Ed would kill me for calling him a child! XD) Breda showed real moxie the way he handled the grieving Ed. He managed to not outright condemn Roy and Ed's relationship and offer a bit of comfort all while trying to persuade (i.e. manipulate, coerce, force) Ed into doing what needs to be done. Ed hates to be used but I think he'll do it anyway. He has to or everything they've been doing will be for naught. Riza's words probably helped to convince of him of this fact. Btw, that hug Ed and Riza shared was the best thing for them! They both SO needed that! Me too! XD

What's up with Winry and Russell/Envy? Why's he watching her? jeez. If it's not Kimblee being all lewd and lascivious it's Envy creeping everybody out! What happened to Russell? What kind of hell is Envy planning on causing in Risembool? Are Archer's jack-booted thugs still causing trouble there? When's Al and Winry's wedding? ugh. so many questions! They just keep me coming back for more! :)

Wow! That was a powerful chapter! I think you did an excelent Breda. Poor Ed, I can't wait to see how you ahve him handle all this! And once again, you evil person you, you leave us with another cliffhanger.

This story is just damn good.

Damnit! I just had a shit load of things on this review and it all got deleted cos my computer froze and I hadn't submitted it yet. Oh well, I guess I have to start typing again.

Okay-- Let's try to remember what I typed about Breda and everyone. I think you did exceptionally well with characterization given the circumstance and the amount of time each character had on the anime. Now that I have time to go over what I said before, I think you actually chose the perfect character to talk to Ed. Looking back at what I've seen on Breda and reminiscing the movie a bit(which I totally forgot about for a second), Breda is a smart man, funny sometimes, but he can get serious. I thought that maybe Falman might've been better suited, but then again, you don't see much of Falman, and he'd take every WAY too seriously. Especially about Roy and Ed having a relationship. I was a little surprised at the way he reacted to it... I didn't really know what to expect, but seeing him a little neutral to it, I suppose his reaction was okay. Breda doesn't seem as close to the Colonel as Hawkeye, Havoc, or Fuery and when Hughes was here, him. Yet... I know he has a lot of respect for him. It's interesting the way you've put Breda out... I like it. If Havoc hadn't been so shocked and sad about the situation I could've seen him as the one to talk to Edward. For instance, he reprimands Ed for bad-talking Mustang in the anime.

Hawkeye's reaction, to me, was perfect. In the anime, when she thought Roy had died, she kinda freaked out a bit and we saw her more sensitive side. Her talk with Ed made her sensitive side REALLY show and it's probably the only time we'll see it again, unless something else happens like this. (IT BETTER NOT... okay, maybe you can, but I don't want anyone dying....please?)

I really don't believe that Roy is dead... yet. You never know what might happen... But-- there's too much going on right now and Roy finally admitted to himself that he loved Edward... now it's time for Ed to admit that HE loves Roy. Which reminds me, if it was so easy for Breda to find out, then who knows who else will find out about this? But, yes, I don't think Roy is going to die at the moment... and I really hope he doesn't die thereafter. That would rip me apart. I hope no char. deaths happen. I will cry and too many fanfics make me cry, esp. yours!! T^T

Havoc's reaction seemed like it was very accurate, that is probably how I would portray him.

Ed... oh poor Ed. I feel so bad, yet I have to agree with Breda in some ways. I don't know if Ed will live up to what he says he will do, but I find it better if he is given advice from the sidelines. Ed doesn't have much experience, like you said, but he is an extremely smart boy--one example being, when in Youswell, he cleverly tricked First Lieutenant Yoki and afterwards there are so many times in which he outsmarts people. I believe Ed will shape up... in the anime-- after he has his time to cry-- he gets right back into business and turns into a more serious person. Esp. in the last episodes in which he gains a serious reality check and becomes more mature than ever. I hope he gets more mature as the story goes on.

With "Russell" watching Winry like that it gets me a little worried. He could use her as leverage anytime he wanted to... esp. against Al, who loves the girl. I don't know... Al HAS been giving her fighting lessons, hehe.

I seriously enjoyed analyizing this chapter and seeing different reactions. Reactions are my favorite thing! Especially when it's all dramatic and stuff and people are like, "NOOOO!" or "Le gasp!" Thank you for updating!

Holy crap! Plot twist! I love it I was not expecting that! And Roy thinking Hawkeye is Ed! So sad! I really really cannot wait to see where this fic goes it has so much potential! And making the phone ring once! You are so cruel!

*GASP!!* ZAKAI!! What are you trying to do?!?! kill me?!?! *clutches chest* Oh, you've broken my little heart! *falls out* Don't die Roy! *sobs* First you soften me up by making me get all weepy over Izumi dying and then you go for the throat and mortally wound Roy?!?! *cries* ZaKai is so mean! Poor Roy is confessing to Ed and he's not even there! That was Ed on the phone wasn't it? That phone call is all in this world that saved Roy from being instantly killed by that sniper's bullet. (I'm totally guessing that it was a sniper here.) ""I love you, Ed..." he whispered, then everything went black." WAAAAAHHHH!! *grabs Roy by the shirt collar and shakes him not caring if it did more harm than good* Don't you dare die on me, Roy! You just realized that you do in fact love Ed and Ed's on his way home to you right now as quick as he can! *becoming frantic* Live dammit! LIVE! *slowly releases Roy's shirt and collapses in sobs* *murmurs softly* Roy, think of all you have to live for. Think of Ed in that beautiful long red coat of his. Don't you wanna see that again? Please Roy, please. Stay with us. *cries*

*wipes away tears* I'm gonna talk about Izumi and Ed now because I can't think about Roy any more right now for fear I'll break down in tears. *sniffle* I'm glad Ed has finally decided to man up and go back to Central (i.e. Roy *wibbles*). It's for the best. Izumi can get as pissed off as she wants to seeing Ed in uniform but, for me, Ed is at his sexiest when he IS in uniform! w00t! I just LOVE seeing him that way! *major drool!* Oh, excuse me. *wipes drool from chin* Anyway, when Ed was leaving (in that uber sexy uniform! rahr! :D) and paused to hug Izumi and tell her "I will never forget you! Thank you for everything!", oh man were you pulling hard on the old heartstrings! And that single tear! OH! He may have only shed one tear but I cried a river! :)

P.S. I hope Al realizes that "Russell" is bad news and sends him on his way soon. Unfortunately this is Envy we're talking about here and things could get messy. I was so hoping that Al could manage to stay out of all this rebellion mess.
P.P.S. I so did not make the connection between Alphonse and Alfons when you were talking about physics. It is a neat idea. Too bad I didn't catch it. Sorry 'bout that. :)
P.P.P.S. I'm going crazy wanting to know how Ed got Al's body back! GAH! The anticipation is killing me! :)

*stares dumbfoundedly at the screen*

... you made me cry. TWICE.

I swear my computer has never taken such a beating. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME!?!?! YOU STOPPED~!!! Just when Ed was coming back! But Ed wasn't there yet, was he? Oh damnable forces that make writers kill you with their awesomely perverted (in all senses of the word) stories!! The first part that made me cry was when Ed said what he did to Izumi. I thought that that was the most beautiful thing ever! And poor Ed, having to think of all of those things... and now... now... MUSTANG WAS HURTEDED AND ED WILL BLAME HIMSELF!!! T^T SO UNFAIR!!

Anyways, yes, the second part that made me cry was knowing Ed wasn't the one he was talking to and he admitted his LOVE! He loves him, he loves him! But, what if saying that made the enemy that was prolly somewhere near hear it and now go after Edward?! I dunno, I guess I'm just being dramatic because... because... oh goodness. *cries in the corner* You evil-!!!

Anyways, I thought it so wonderful Winry is going to use her mother's wedding dress and to think that that clone freak is around them... *shudders* You bastard clone man (his name yet again escapes me, was it Urayami or something close to that?) Goodness and I can't even...TAT

This was my favorite chapter. THAT's why everything was so quiet before! Something BIG was going to happen and still IS going to happen.

AND DAMN IT!! I need to know wtf Edward did! What did he doooo?!

I believe I haven't been this excited in a while. Thank you, thank you for the wonderfullest FMA fanfics EVER!! I praise ye, oh mighty ALLAH! (I just picked a random religious name... would you rather be Jesus?)

Oh gracious... Some of my steam is off now.

I totally love Edward's characterization... he's so mature now, yet so much like his former self. He knows what he's doing, yet he has no clue. He's like the embodiment of an oxymoron. I love it so!! To think he didn't come to the conclusion that he loved Mustang... I bet he will now-- with Mustang's injuries and stuff. Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe he will rebel and get angry with him for not telling him what was happening. Edward is just going to blame himself I know it! That is just who he is, right? Oh Gawd, don't kill him off, please? IlubvetehROyED!!!!

Mustang is seriously a bit off... talking to a dead man? Of course, didn't he do that in the movie?

I was reading another reply to a review you received and saw that you wanted to make a similarity between Alphonse and Alfons. I guess I could see that when you explained the gravity thing--which was really cool, if I didn't mention that. Alfons Heidrich was much more... settled then Alphonse though, if you look at it movie wise. Alphonse was more energetic and upbeat than Alfons, but, then again, Alphonse wasn't dying of Tuberculosis (that was it, right?). I'm sure Alfons would still be the same, even if he wasn't dying. Alfons was definitely more mature, but Alphonse was also younger. I think the metal Alphonse was a lot like him, instead of the movie one.

Oh, you liked my Dr. Booth? He would've said that? I'm glad... I just can't picture him any other way... What does he look like again?

Things are definitely climaxing at this point-- I hope I'm correct in assuming so-- with everything happening like this. I think there might be more trouble, with the rebellion and all, but this is prolly the first climax, right? Or maybe, the rising action? I dunno.

I'm glad Maes was a positive influence in Mustang's life, though. I think he really is there to guide Mustang along. Just like when he appeared to wave bye to Edward... and of course, Edward blamed himself there too! But, I do think Maes is a big guilt trip, too. Eh... you can never tell in anime... or fanfictions for that matter. ^^;

Anyboat, I am really freaked out about this and please update as soon as you get the time. Thank you for updating so quickly this time too! That was awesome!

no one's going to hurt you as long as mustang remains alive *puts butcher knife back in the drawer* oh, that was so moving! i was afraid i was going to cry, and my mom's in the room. and just when ed was trying to get back to him!! no!!! thank you for such a quick update! i was so stoked to see it. can't wait for the next one!

Uh oh! Roy got called out! If Doctor Booth, who doesn't even really know Roy, noticed his alcoholism, it's a pretty good bet others have too. not good. Or maybe it is. Maybe Roy will at least glance at those pamphlets and, I don't know, maybe start to recognize that he has a problem? pish. Yeah, I wish. Ed's just as bad as Roy is. "It�s just not a good time." How many times have I heard that lame excuse? He's lying to Fletcher and, worst of all, to himself. idiot. stupid Applejack. Ed, put that stuff down, go back to Central, confront Roy, settle this shit between you two and stop running from your problems dammit!! ugh!

Ya know, I never thought about the science of physics being lacking in Amestris. It is to be expected tho since alchemy is so prevalent there. Well, no, now that I think about it, that's not really entirely true. Alchemy is a science and an alchemist must know a lot about what things are made of and how the composing elements of any given item work together to be able to transmute that item into something else. Like when Ed fought Greed. Ed realized that Greed was manipulating the carbon in his body to make his "ultimate shield". Ed knew that carbon could be soft enough to be pencil lead or hard enough to be a diamond. So, by altering Greed's carbon structure, Ed was able to defeat him. ... OK fine! I'll say it! Ed killed Greed, not just defeated him! *pouts* *sighs* I just don't like to think about this because the story took an even darker turn for the worse after this messy confrontation. T_T Anyway, perhaps it's astrophysics and not just physics that's lacking in the Amestrian world. But, what do I know anyway? :)

I'm glad Riza and Jean are watching Roy's back. Somebody has to since Ed's not around right now. I shudder to think of the condition Roy must be in now that Ed's been gone for so long. Overworked, overstressed, and undersexed - not a good combination. When you add in his drinking it's a wonder the man can function at all. When he finally breaks down and gives in, and he will, it's not gonna be pretty.

Who is it the homunculi plan to use to make that damned Philosopher's Stone - Al or Fletcher? not good either way. I take it they've given up on forcing Ed to do it and are focusing their efforts on the gentler younger brothers to do the terrible deed. Al won't be so easily swayed since he knows the price of making a stone but does Fletcher know what is involved? *sigh* It makes me sad just to think about it. :(
