I'm really enjoying this so far. The alternative world has been set up really well and all the character and world dynamics are easy to follow. Love the Goku/Vegeta and Chichi/Raditz as well as the rest of the casts' characterisation. Admittedly it took me a little while to get that Eddie and Jane = 17 and 18 but I like their inclusion in the story too and your interesting take on their characters.
Oh and the prologue, Frieza being turned into a set of Dragonballs? Genius. xD

I've never played Chess and it has always confused the hell out of me...but your fanfic makes it seem really interesting. I have always pictured Vegeta being an excellent Chess, checkers, poker player (basically any game that needs great concentration) and you have captured it perfectly.
Now, I'm guessing that I've just been reading everything too fast...but is Goku a saiyajin in this story? In the second chapter Bulma mentions Goku being Capsule Corp's adopted son so I'm still sketchy as to whether they are real bro and sis. Or perhaps the vagueness is an intentional writing style in this story, which I can totally understand, too.
Anywho, love the instant attraction between Goku and Vegeta. I enjoy the fact that you wrote that Bulma knew Goku was gay, but it has never been directly said if Vegeta is, as if it's a saiyajin cultural thing to not make a deal out of sexual preference. I love the AU characters like Pilaf and Eddie and Jane (17 and 18, I presume :), and I usually don't like AUs! Excited to see how the matches go. Especially if/when Goku and Vegeta play each other. :)

I have to say, that is the most creative, genius way to get rid of Frieza I have ever read. It's so logical! BRILLIANT and hilarious at the same time. I'm usually not a huge fan of alternate universe DBZ fics, but this one is looking great! The two colliding stories (Goku's and Vegeta's) are working well together. I could totally see this happening in a movie :D Excited to see what happens next. Great stuff!
