Chapter 2
Disclaimer: *Looks through legal papers* Nope…don’t own ‘em, tried, but it’s damn hard to buy something with 5 bucks. But I do own a miniature key chain of Driger, but that’s MINE! *clutches mini-Driger and runs off*
Kurai: I finally know what is going to happen for this story, usually I just write and whatever happens happens; but I actually have most of it planned! Go me!
Dragonblade: *snorts* Planned? Since when?
Kurai: Since the few nights ago when I was trying to sleep but couldn\'t...

Seth and Danya...thank you!! I\'m glad someone liked that chapter! I was worried that no one would like it! I\'m glad you like the way I portrayed Rei.
NOTE: I ran this mother through the spell-checker! Plus, I decided to give them their Japanese team name (BBA) but I left the bit-beasts in their American names because it’s probably easier for people to identify with those names. I remember being told that all the BBA boys lived with Takao, but because this is AU (sort of anyway), having Rei move away just helps with the plot. This damn plot bunny bugged me for about a month before I gave up and wrote this stupid thing.

Chapter 2
\"Rei...\"
A sleepy mumble emanated from under a pillow. One would assume that it was a response, however unintelligent and incoherent.
\"Ai ya! Get up!\"
The pillow was quickly tossed across the room, followed by a pained yelp as natural morning light assaulted fogged golden eyes.
\"The light...it burns!\" Rei yelled dramatically, throwing his arms over his face and hissing.
His mother chuckled softly from her perch in the doorway. [1]
\"I ran you a bath,\" she commented softly, stepping out of the doorway and heading down the hall.
Rei grumbled; he could have done that on his own. Although he did appreciate the gesture in the morning.
\"Thank you!\" He called after his mother.
After quickly stripping out of his red gi and the cotton pants he had accidentally fallen asleep in, he dashed madly down the hall into the bathroom in only his boxers. Towel clasped firmly in his left hand.
Black boxers quickly found their place on the floor next to the discarded towel, on the opposite side of the room from the bathtub.
Rei hissed as he stepped into the hot water, his nerves waking suddenly to send pain signals to his sleep muddled mind.
\"Hot, hot, hot, hot!\" He grumbled as he lowered himself into the crystalline water.
He released his raven locks from the white bindings he had accidentally left in. His hair tumbled over the side of the tub, some fanning around his shoulders and slipping into the water.
He leaned back against the chilled siding of the bathtub, sighing in pleasure and relief.
\"Water that good?\"
Rei bolted upright, water splashing up and over the side in a shock induced tidal wave. He gripped the side of the tub, his white knuckles complimenting his red cheeks.
\"Jesus Christ!\" Rei yelped.
\"Didn\'t mean to startle you,\" Kai smirked mischievously.
\"Yeah, well, you did!\" Rei mumbled, sliding back under the water.
He wanted to get out of the bathtub, but unfortunately he had tossed his towel across the room. He was not about to stand up and flash Kai!
Kai leaned against the doorframe, head cocked slightly and his hands in his pockets. He wore a simple button-down white dress shirt, which was only buttoned up to the navel; leaving his entire chest in plain view. He also wore relatively loose black pants that hugged his rear.
Rei gulped and pulled his knees up to his chest, glad that Kai was across the room.
\"How did you get in?\" Rei asked.
\"Your mother let me in,\" Kai answered, pushing away from the doorframe with a light grunt.
Rei\'s already red cheeks turned a shade darker as Kai closed the distance between them.
Rei gulped, feeling a stirring in certain nether regions.
Kai loomed over him, able to see the Chinese Tiger\'s entire tanned body. Rei trembled as Kai\'s gaze raked over him.
Once his eyes reached Rei\'s face Kai asked, \"have you received any word from Max?\"
Rei was slightly preoccupied with the painful throbbing between his legs and only managed a weak, \"enh?\"
Kai grinned wickedly, \"Max...have you received a letter from him?\"
\"Oh!\" Rei said startled, \"no, mail comes tomorrow.\"
\"Ah,\" Kai commented, \"in that case, Max has invited all of the BBA to come and visit him in his new home in America. His mother will be able to assist anyone who cannot come up with enough for a plane ticket.\"
\"Oh wow...\" Intelligent, now take your thumb out of your ass you dumb shit! Rei cursed to himself.
Kai chuckled, \"I have already informed him that you will be traveling with me.\" [2]
\"I will be?\" Rei choked out.
\"Yes,\" Kai answered, \"it makes more sense, seeing as though you and I are in the same area, might as well travel together. Plus, I have already informed your mother of Max\'s plan and she thinks it\'s a good idea.\"
\"She...what?\" Rei blinked.
Kai couldn\'t help but laugh, \"I\'ll meet you outside.\"
\"Oh wait!\" Rei called out.
Kai turned his attention back to Rei, “what?”
“Well, didn’t Max already live in the US? Why is it a new home? And I though you were living with Takao and Kyo, so, why are you here?”
“Max moved back to Japan with his father for a bit after you moved back home, and I had some things to clear up in Russia and I decided I’d like to see China again.”
”Oh…makes sense…” Rei mumbled.
“Figured it would, now I am going to wait for you outside,” Kai repeated.
“Mmh,” Rei mumbled, fishing around for his washcloth.
\"Oh, by the way,\" Kai said suddenly, \"you look good in red, especially when you wear it on your face.\"
Rei blushed so deeply he turned purple. He slid down until he was just able to see over the edge of the bathtub.
Where\'s a rock to climb under when you need one? Rei whimpered mentally.

[1] I know nothing about his parental situation, but having him living with his mother makes my life easier.
[2] Because of AFF screwing with the letters, traveling was actually \"tlingling\", which sounds an awful lot like \"tingling\" which TOTALLY changes the meaning of that sentance! Damn funny.
