Chapter 2
Disclaimer: Don’t own it.
I’m back! Thank you for those who reviewed! I really do appreciate it! Here’s chapter two for Life. I hope everyone likes.
********
Ed walked out of the office, into a bright street, the sun shining strongly. He lifted his left arm to cover his eyes until they adjusted to the new lighting. He stared down to see two metal clad feet and smirked when a large (or at least larger than himself) shadow blocked the sun in front of him. He looked up to see a big suit of armor. His younger brother, though no one could tell, Alphonse Elric.
“Brother what took you so long?” asked Al’s light, innocent voice. Ed couldn’t help but smile up at his brother, feeling a deep love for him even though he wouldn’t openly say it. Not until they were fully human again, all flesh and bones, so he could see the emotion in Al’s eyes.
“Just getting new info from the Colonel. We’re heading towards a place name Rinham,” Ed stated walking past his brother towards the lively City Street planning on buying something to munch on. Al followed right next to his brother thinking about the new destination.
“I’ve heard of Rinham,” Ed turned his head, still walking, to look at his brother, giving him a look to explain. “Yeah, I saw it on a map I read once. It’s pretty far away. I don’t think we’ll be able to afford it. Did Mustang give you train passes for us? If not you better ask for it,” Al cautioned seeing Ed stiffened immediately, frozen on the spot. “Brother?”
“What do you mean ask him for something? I don’t want to ask for anything from that guy!” Ed forced out just thinking what the old creep would make him do. Oh god, he’d probably make him do that…that stuff again! No way, Ed refused.
“Brother, I’m telling you Rinham is to far. We won’t be able to afford it. Mustang is nice to you in a way. He’ll give you the passes I know it. Stop being so stubborn and go ask him tomorrow,” Al made sure Ed agreed by giving him a bad and chilly armor glare and tried looking intimidating. It was hard seeing he was really kind and soft natured at heart and acting otherwise was difficult but if it helped on their journey, he’d try.
“Fine,” muttered Ed unwillingly. He shuddered at the thought of what Mustang would make him do and could feel his lower back very sore from the previous activity. How could he fix this? Oh! He could just do it one last time with Mustang, get the passes to Rinham, then avoid Mustang from then on! Get his info through Hawkeye or make Al go in.
“Good. Um, can I have three rice balls please? Thank you,” Al said to the nice salesman who was giving away some snacks. He held the rice balls on a small plate and handed it to Ed, “Here. Your favorite.”
“Thanks Al,” Ed stared at the rice balls and smirked at his brother. After Al made a shy comment, Ed decided to go ahead and devour the rice balls greedily. He patted his belly after he was done feeling strangely satisfied with the small treat.
“Brother, what do you wish to do now?”
“Don’t know. Maybe we should go rest. I know I’m a bit tired. Anyway I need to tie this hair and I left my hair tie at the hotel,” Ed stated running his fingers through his golden locks having a hard time dealing with the fact that Mustang complimented it. He really just wanted to put it back into its normal style. And if he needed any other excuse he could just say that to many girls were staring at him, which was true.
“Okay but maybe you should think about what we’ll need for our trip,” Al suggested following Ed towards the hotel they were staying at for the time being. They never planned on buying a house for the fact that they never stopped moving around. Keeping a house would be too much trouble, so they just went to a hotel.
Ed walked into the room they shared and headed towards the dresser mirror picking up his hair tie and braiding his hair to have it out of his way. He looked at the mirror to look at himself. He didn’t look any different but he felt strange. He looked at his neck and blushed quickly covering a red bite mark on his neck thinking when did that get there? When did that pervert do that?
“Shoot,” Ed muttered dashing towards the bathroom to a cabinet that should hold a first aid kit. He knew it was lame but he didn’t own turtlenecks and he couldn’t let Al see the mark and assume things. He quickly put a Band-Aid on his mark covering it perfectly. He jumped when he heard Al walk behind him asking what he was doing. “I cut myself and I needed to get it covered up.”
That explanation seemed to satisfy Al for he didn’t press on the subject. Ed sighed, he was going to give Mustang a piece of his mind for putting a mark on him. It almost felt like a brand. Like Mustang was trying to make a point that they…they…what could you really call what they did? Ed shook his head just wanting to forget.
He removed his clothing till he was only in his boxers and went back into the room seeing Al looking out the window. Ed didn’t say anything as he slipped into his bed putting the blue-green blanket on top of him, keeping him warm for the time being. He lay his head on the pillow to just stare at the ceiling with his golden eyes.
“Hey Al, what are you thinking about?”
“Nothing, Brother, I was just looking at those kids playing on the street.”
“You really like looking at kids,” Ed made a small snort, that only he could hear. Really he wasn’t that great with kids, they always called him short. Al was great though, he always knew exactly what to say and was as innocent as a child. Ed couldn’t help but think that Al would’ve made a nice father and really he probably would’ve already gone out with some girl if it weren’t for the fact that he was a big chunk of armor. Ed sighed, knowing that if he ever planned on seeing a happy expression on Al’s face he would have to fight hard and find the Philosopher Stone.
“It reminds me of when we were kids, Brother. You, me, and Winnry playing all the time,” the armor stated looking at the three children laughing and playing with a ball on the stone sidewalk, running around like there was no care in the world.
“Yeah, well trust me. We’re not kids anymore,” Ed replied sadly, staring up at the ceiling his serious eyes burning holes through them. They’d gone through so much could they ever be call children again. He could hear the rustle of moving metal and turned his face to see what Al was doing. The tall suit of armor moved onto the other bed in the room and laid down trying to relax for a change also. “Don’t worry Al, everything will be alright.”
“I know that, Brother, I trust you. But you know that you should let your hair loose to go to bed,” Al stated looking at his brother’s shocked expression. Ed laughed agreeing and slid off the hair tie putting it on the side table, letting his hair loosely flow all around his back, shining softly in the dim light. “Brother,” Ed turned his head to look at Al wondering what was wrong, “Do you think my hair will be as nice as yours?”
Ed blushed at the compliment in the question and said in a playful manner, “Oh sure it will be Al. And because of the fact that we haven’t been able to cut it in such a long time I bet it’s longer than my hair.”
“Thanks,” Al replied going to sleep in a way. He could kind of put his spirit to rest a bit as if he was sleeping and so was grateful to at least have that normal quality. Ed nodded lying back down onto the bed, closing his eyes ready to sleep for a long time.
***
Ed slowly opened his eyes feeling the sun brightly shining light into the room. He rubbed his eyes suddenly remembering he had to go asked Mustang for those train passes. He grabbed his alchemist pocket watch and flipped it open tiredly looking at the time.
“Oh shit!” Ed yelled jumping out of bed seeing that it was five o’clock already. How the hell did he sleep that long? He never slept that long before. It didn’t matter he ran to the bathroom for a quick shower and just as quickly to get his clothes on. He had eventually shocked his brother awake with all the yelling. Ed jumped around the room trying to get his leather pants on and his red jacket to stop slipping off his shoulder.
“Brother, what’s wrong?”
“I was hoping to go ask Mustang for the damn passes before noon! Now it’ll be nightfall by the time we get to leave!” Ed exclaimed dashing out of the room as quick as he could, forgetting all about his hair tie. He ran towards the office his hair flying behind him everywhere. He was lucky that he never wakes up with bed hair but the problem was that his hair was still damp from the shower.
Ed walked through the front door of the main office and saw once again everyone busily working until they noticed him, paused, stared at him for a bit till he blushed, then went back to work. Ed walked past Hawkeye trying to get to Mustang’s office in a hurry. He opened the door to Roy’s office to see Mustang busily writing on a piece of paper. Once Mustang seemed to notice that there was someone in his room that closed and locked the door he lifted his head to look at Ed with a smirk on his face.
“How may I help you Edward?” Roy wondered trying to think in his mind what would be so important that Ed would actually want to see his face again so soon. It could be that Ed really did come back for more but Roy highly doubted that. He did notice Ed’s grim looking face as though he wasn’t going to like asking the question. Maybe it had to do with Rinham, it was pretty far off and costly to get there.
“I found out that I can’t afford the train passes to Rinham. I was hoping you could help me,” the words came out of Ed’s mouth as if he was being forced through every word. Roy smirked thinking Ed was truly a cute, predictable creature. He motioned for Ed to walk up to him until they were face to face again. Roy placed his hand behind Ed’s head, bringing his face closer so he could connect their lips in a heated kiss. Ed fell onto his lap comfortably kissing Roy back as Roy ran his fingers through Ed’s silky hair. Ed moaned into the kiss, feeling an overwhelming pleasure from the kiss as Roy but his other hand on Ed’s butt and squeezed. After what felt like half an hour, Roy finally broke the kiss looking down at Ed flushed to a dark red. He chuckled finding it turned him on and made Ed look irresistible.
“I’m sure we can come to an agreement,” was the last thing Roy said before he began to ravish Ed’s body with every mean possible.
***
“Here,” Roy handed Ed a clean towel to wipe himself off with. Ed took it after giving Roy his thanks as he wiped of the white, sticky substance left on his belly. He looked around the room to try and find his pants and eventually found them under Roy’s desk next to his shirt. He sighed grabbing the two pieces of material, slipping into them feeling much better inside clothing. He didn’t feel as sore as he thought he would feel like last time. Of course, Roy did it a lot gentler than he did last time.
“Where did you throw my jacket?” Ed asked unable to find the last piece of his clothing. He looked up to see Roy standing at the door, holding his jacket out as if he was going to put it on Ed himself. Ed sighed walked to the door letting Roy slip the jacket on him in peace. He felt something in his pocket and checked to find two train passes to Rinham at ten o’clock at night. He checked the clock in the office to see it was already nine o’clock. Ed sighed again, he had just spend four hours with Roy Mustang doing…it. But when did Roy get the chance to get these already?
“Like agreed I got you those passes. I knew you’d ask for them, so I ordered them yesterday. You and Al be careful alright Ed?” Roy replied, reading the confused look on Ed’s face was really easy. Roy couldn’t help but wrap his arm around Ed’s waist, bring him up so he could plant one last heated kiss on Ed. Ed, in reaction, put his hands on Roy’s chest to clutch a handful of the Colonel’s shirt as he moaned into the kiss, feeling sensitive at the moment. “Understood?”
“Yes,” Ed whispered, huskily, feeling out of breath. The next thing he knew Roy had put him down on his feet outside the office and closed the door behind him, expecting him to leave now. Ed tensed when he finally processed what happened again and just wanted to yell at the Colonel for using him like that! It was illegal! He was still a minor! The old pervert was some sort of pedophile! Ed left the office in the worst of moods and just felt like yelling at anyone. His anger was forced upon a poor woman trying to sell him some bread. He just yelled and cursed at her until she cowered back and away from him. He was so angry, was it possible to explode from anger because if it was Al would have to pick up his tiny pieces in hope to put him back together right now.
Ed walked back to the hotel to find Al already there with the little bag of some food and supplies, ready for their trip.
“Did you get the passes, brother?” Ed nodded, showing the passes to Al it was currently nine-thirty so they had to rush off to the train station. They walked side by side, Ed tying his hair back in its normal style, still feeling Roy’s fingers running through it as they had sex. It was an odd feeling to remember and Ed didn’t like how he reacted to it.
“How long do you think it’ll take to get to Rinham, Al?”
“I’m not sure. Maybe a week, brother,” Ed groaned not wanting to wait that long to get to one town. They finally made it to the station and boarded the train once they showed the passes to the security. Once they got to the seats they were assigned Ed went wide-eyed. Was Roy trying to show-off or something? The Colonel had gotten them one of the more expensive seats, otherwise known as first class kind of seats on the train. It was weird to sit on a comfortable cushion on a train and be served meals that seemed to also be first class or at least to him.
“Brother, don’t you think it was kind of mean to ask the Colonel for such a fancy seat?”
“I just asked him for seats, he’s the one trying to show-off with the fancy stuff.”
“But why would he want to show-off? I’d understand if we were girls and he was trying to catch our attention but that couldn’t be it,” Ed stiffened at the thought of Mustang trying to catch one of their attentions like he would a girl. Ed, now that he thought about it, wondered why Roy would want to have sex with him in the first place? Wouldn’t he rather do that with a girl? Someone like Hawkeye? She’s a woman and all.
“I don’t know. Ask him the next time you see him,” was the last thing to come out of Ed’s mouth before he stuffed it with the dinner type meal he ordered the woman who walked by wondering if they were comfortable. What came back was a well-cooked steak with mashed potato and vegetables. He ate everything knowing that he couldn’t be a picky eater. After he ate the woman, who said her name was Krista brought him a cup of milk saying that it’ll help him grow. He snapped at her like he always did to anyone who call him short and was held back by Al giving the woman a chance to close the door to Ed and Al’s private room.
“Brother, she didn’t mean any harm. Anyway you like milk,” Al pointed out as Ed gulped down his entire drink in less than a minute. Ed apologized to Al as he lay down on his booth seat falling asleep. Al sat there, knowing he didn’t really need sleep, so he looked out the window to see the moon, full and bright. It reminded him of the moon from home. The stars surrounding it in every direction. It really made him peaceful and relaxed as he decided to sleep anyway. He rested his spirit for the next day on the train.
Ed woke up first, blinking his eyes not feeling in the best of moods. He was just really hungry and his stomach growled loudly for some sustenance. Krista immediately came in with breakfast for two in hand. It was fresh pancakes with butter, syrup, some fresh fruit, orange juice, and toast. Once she closed the door, Ed went and devoured his breakfast. He couldn’t help himself and also went for Al’s breakfast, knowing his brother couldn’t eat.
“B-Brother! You just ate 8 pancakes, two bowls of fruit, two glasses of orange juice, and 4 pieces of toast! What’s wrong?” Al asked shocked beyond belief at how much his brother just ate. He knew that Ed could become extremely hungry and eat quickly but he never would eat two meals that large.
“Sorry, Al. I was just really hungry,” Ed shrugged finishing the last bit of fruit. It was really good and it satisfied his stomach fine.
The rest of the trip ended like that. Ed would eat both meals, shocking Al out of his armor, if he could. The only problem that happened was on the fifth day of the trip Ed woke up sick and threw up around three times before his stomach settled and he felt hungry again. It happened the same time on the sixth and last day but only during the morning.
“Ed, maybe we should take you to a doctor,” Al suggested after they exited the train in the afternoon. That morning Ed once again became sick and vomited, repeatedly into a chamber pot Krista generously brought to the room for them. Ed ended up becoming hungry again and was able to keep his food down once it was noon.
“No, lets go ask around and see if anyone knows where this Julia Grethers lives,” Ed shook his head refusing, thinking he felt fine now. As long as this wasn’t a sign that he was dying, which he highly doubted, then it was just a problem his stomach was having with such nice food. He’d be fine now. He walked out of the station with his brother right next to him. Ed’s stomach growled harshly, feeling empty and hungry. Ed sighed, telling Al, “I guess I’m hungry. Let’s go to that café and have some lunch. What do you say?”
“Okay, brother,” Al replied walking towards the café Ed had pointed at and sat down at a table with Ed. A nice waitress came by them asking what they wanted, politely.
“Um…can I have three doughnuts, a soda, a bagel with cream cheese, and if you could, a cinnamon bun,” the waitress wrote down everything Ed ordered, ignoring the shocked impression Al was giving his brother again. Al once again stated how Ed was eating too much again and Ed just shrugged it off replying, “It’s okay. I’m just a bit hungry and this will stuff me up.”
“Here you go,” the waitress said nicely as she put a tray down with everything Ed asked for. Before Ed went to chomp away at his food, he turned to his waitress and asked her about Julia Grethers. “Julia? What do you want with her? She’s such a nice person. You know my father was sick but we couldn’t afford a doctor and she generously offered to treat him for free. She saved his life.”
“Thanks, but do you know where she lives?”
“Yeah on a little farm, a bit outside of town,” the waitress answered before being called to another table leaving the brothers to eat on their own. Ed quickly ate his food and once he was done left the café with Al.
They walked out of town and saw in the distance a small house with a fence around it’s property. Just near the fencing was a gorgeous looking garden with a beautiful young woman tending it. Ed stared at her as he walked towards the house. She stood for a second showing off everything. Her long, silky, soft, ebony hair reaching to the middle of her knee, flying behind her in the wind making her look angelic. Her eyes were big, innocent the color of black, her features perfect as she made a smooth smile. Her white skin, looked so soft and smooth, glistened in the sunlight, making her look radiant. She wore a flattering light pink dress that fluttered a little in the wind as her hair also flew behind her. She looked…amazing, for a twenty-four year old anyway. As Ed got closer he was able to see long, thick lashes that shadowed her cheeks whenever she blinked and saw as she put on an outdoor hat that worked perfectly with her dress. He really couldn’t believe how beautiful this woman was, and yet she reminded him of something. She spotted them heading towards her and she turned her eyes toward them, almost looking like she knew why they were there. She smiled at them knowingly, almost like a smirk. Where had Ed seen that mannerism before?
“How may I help you, sir?” she wondered once they got close enough to hear her. Ed was feeling a type of de javu. Where has he heard this type of thing before? Who was this woman reminding him of? He looked at her and saw an easy smile but one look at her eyes and he knew that there was a lot of planning behind them. He could see it. He knew it. He just couldn’t put his finger on it.
“We’re looking for Julia Grethers, miss. Are you her?” Al wondered after seeing that his big brother wasn’t going to talk. In a way she reminded him of someone he’d rather not say. No way, she was like him. If she were, Ed would be furious with her all the time.
“Why, yes, yes I am. How may I help you boys?” the newfound Julia questioned continuing giving her pleasant smile. They could see why the waitress didn’t think Julia could do something bad. The woman looked like an angel. They didn’t doubt that she acted like one too.
“Julia! I brought the wood!”
“Oh, hello Honey! We have visitors,” Julia called out to a voice sounding behind the house. They waited a moment before seeing a happy, strong looking man walking from the side of the house, sweat covering his bare chest. He looked strong, almost like Armstrong but not to the point of going crazy by showing them off. His muscle bulges and you could see some hair coming out from his chest area. He had short dark brown hair and jade green eyes that definitely wasn’t the normal eye color for men of brown hair but still, it looked nice on him. He was a white man with a tan from working out in the sun too much and it seemed he was as tall as Al but his face was what made him look pleasant. He had beard stubs growing out giving the bottom of his cheeks and chin a light dark coloring but he had a fun, white smile that showed off perfect dimples. He had some stress wrinkles on his forehead but it only added to his appeal of seeming like a nice fellow. Ed thought this must be the boyfriend.
“Hello, strangers. What brings you to this part of the town?”
“Oh you know sight seeing. And a meeting with this fantastic doctor we’ve been hearing about,” Ed answered cheerfully putting on a face. He didn’t want them to not trust him like most people did when he was younger. He received a smile from Julia and her boyfriend before they invited him and Al into their home. He observed the boyfriend from afar. The man did look healthy and strong, most definitely alive so why did they find a file saying he was already deceased? Was he really the first human transmutation to go successfully? Or was there something more to this story?
They were led into the small, yet comfy home and directed to the kitchen to sit at the dinner table. Julia served them some herbal tea saying that it was good for them. She took one more look at Al, really looking at him, inspecting him up and down, her smile gone. Her eyes opened wider for a little before she apologized taking the tea she set for Al back. Ed knew that she realized by only looking that there was no one in Al’s armor, it was just Al.
“So how can I help you boys?” Ed forgot that they would have to make something wrong with them to be able to explain their presence at the doctors home. His mind was coming up blank though and before he could speak it seemed Al had plans of his own.
“My brother has been having problems keeping his food down in the morning. Every morning he would throw up, become hungry and eat two whole meals and soon later throw it up again. He’d eat again and throw up a couple of more times. It’s been worrying us and we heard you were a good doctor and hoped you could tell us what’s wrong with him,” responded Al quickly, ignoring the glare his brother was giving him. He knew his brother didn’t want to talk about his morning problems but Al thought it was a great opportunity. They get to make sure he isn’t sick and have an excuse for being at Julia’s unexpectedly.
“So this only occurs during the morning?” Julia made sure, pouring Ed another cup of tea no matter how much he didn’t like it. It was healthy and would help him grow. She received an affirmative from Al then looked down at Ed. It was past the afternoon right now so she didn’t think he would be feeling sick so she’d have to wait till tomorrow morning to go through her suspicions. She looked down at his pocket noticing something. She saw it too, the State Alchemist Watch. She shook her head, giving Ed a pleasant smile and leaned forward to pour him more tea.
So Roy thinks he can just send his little cutie pie over here and think he’ll get all the answers. My, why is he so predictable? And he has the nerves to send this poor sick boy to probably lower my defenses. Not happening, Roy you might think you’re hot stuff but you won’t beat me. Not one bit. Never have, never will. And what do you think your doing sending me a soul that lost it’s body and is now trapped in armor. What do you want, me to give it back it’s human flesh body just because you say so! Roy you make me so angry!
“You boys can sleep here tonight. We have a guestroom with two beds. Anyway hotels are just too expensive here,” Julia insisted, pouring Ed that last bit of tea. He glared daggers at the offensive cup of tea, he really just wanted to barf it all out but he had to be polite for Julia’s hospitality, so he drank the last bit of tea thankful that she was out.
“That’s the last bit of work I have to do out there,” the man from before, Julia’s boyfriend, commented, walking into the kitchen through a back door. He rotated his shoulder trying to loosen his tense, tired muscles. He walked to Julia to place a kiss on her forehead, wrapping an arm around her waist bring her up against his chest. She giggled happily wrapping her arms around his tall shoulders, having to go on her tiptoes to reach and places a kiss on his lower jaw. They really acted like a couple in love, serious love. It was nice to watch as Ed and Al never thought they’d be able to ever have that.
“Oh yeah boys, we haven’t properly introduced ourselves have we? I’m Julia Grethers, and this is my boyfriend, in a sense, Jason. He’s working as a construction man in town and lives here with me.”
“Hi, I’m Edward and that’s my brother Alphonse but called us Ed and Al.”
“Nice to meet you. I’m letting them stay with us okay, honey. I want to see how Edward is during the mornings seeing that, that is when he is sick,” Julia stated to her so-called boyfriend hoping he would understand. He nodded having no arguments and she was so happy she jumped up and gently kissed him on his sweet lips. “Go get cleaned up, honey. I don’t want you all mucky when you get to bed,” at that Jason left to another part of the house. Probably the part of the house that held the shower.
“You two seem really happy together.”
“Oh we are Alphonse. I can’t be happier with Jason! He makes my heart flutter but the only problem is my only family member doesn’t approve of him,” Julia sadly frowned, showing an expression that should never be on her face. Ed had a strong urge to go comfort her in an embrace but held himself back.
“Who? What do you mean only family member?”
“Well from my immediate family. My parents are dead, so I grew up with my brother. Kind of like you two but we began having problems once I met Jason. My brother didn’t like Jason and didn’t think he was good enough for me, seeing that I was the daughter of an old general of the military. My father was thee or at least one of the best general/solider in the military and so me and my brother were expected to do great things. Seeing that my mother and father were both alchemists but I was happy just living this like with Jason. Then a mistake happened and my brother left to go to war as an alchemist (Author’s note: To that war they keep talking about on the show! I don’t remember what it was called. You know that big war where Winrey’s parents were killed and the alchemists used the red water Philosopher Stones to massacre all those people. The Ishbal War or something was that what it was called Ishbal War? Against those tan people with red eyes, yeah that one okay. I just didn’t want anyone confused about which war). He came back a haunted shell of what my brother once was. I didn’t accept this new man because death clung to him so strongly and then he did something terrible in his nightmare and so I made him leave. Leave me forever never to talk to me again. I don’t hate him because the problem was fixed a long time ago but that man is no longer my brother for what he did. I believe though, with all my heart that there is someone out there to lead my brother back to this world, back to Life in a sense.”
Ed and Al had listened to Julia closely, hearing how sad she sounded with each word that passed her mouth. Watching how she clasped her hands together as if praying when she talked about someone being out there for her brother and they suddenly felt really bad for her. They were shocked to see Jason walk into the kitchen from a different room, covered on in a damp towel clinging to his body around the waist, to place his hands on Julia’s shoulders, giving her his strength. Ed suddenly noticed something strange about Jason. He had burns covering most of his abdomen and one burn on his left arm. It was weird.
“Hey Jason, where’d you get the burns?” Ed asked, sounding truly curious.
“Oh these? Nothing, just some fire burned me. You know how we construction men are like, think we’re invincible till we’re burned. I was just burned, literally.”
“Yeah, I just tried healing them as best I could,” Julia stated, looking ashamed with herself as she gently caressed a burn on his lower abdomen. Jason grabbed her hand from his skin bend down to kiss the palm gently. He leaned forward to place a kiss on her forehead, soothing her from her troubling thoughts.
“Ed, Al, you boys should go to bed,” Jason suggested but Ed and Al could hear the authority in his voice. They got up after being instructed where their room was. They walked up the stairs to the small house and found the last door in the hall and walked inside to see a clean, little room with two beds.
“They seem nice.”
“Yeah they do, Al but we’re here to find out about the Philosopher Stone not about why I’m throwing up okay? Remember that.”
“Right brother,” was the last thing said between them before Ed removed his jacket, shirt, and pants to go to bed in his boxers. He snuggled in his bed sleeping quickly. Al watched thinking his brother was right. He’d probably just been sick in the train now Ed would be much better and stop vomiting.
***
“Julia please help my brother. I’m worrying about him,” Al said outside of the bathroom. He and Julia were watching the inside of the bathroom, door open wide, at Ed, who was leaning over the toilet, vomiting stuff he hadn’t eaten.
“I’ll try,” Julia stated hearing a flush from the bathroom. She rushed downstairs to finish breakfast as Ed brushed his teeth, moody from the morning sickness. She decided to put some healthy herbs in the food almost positive that she knew what was wrong with Ed.
Ed and Al came downstairs along with Jason. Ed looked very hungry and greedily ate three meals from Julia. Julia just let it off that she must really be a good cook. After breakfast Ed ran off, looking pale, putting his hand against him mouth, rushing towards the bathroom.
“Brother!” Al cried running after his brother, worried about Ed’s health. Julia sighed, knowing her life had just gotten very complicated accepting Ed as a patient. She never dropped a patient so she’d see this through but it didn’t mean she’d be happy about it. She bend down at the kitchen table to give Jason a good morning kiss before going towards the stairs to see Ed and Al. By the time she got to the bathroom Ed was finishing his sixth vomit session. “Julia do you know what’s wrong with my brother, please, I’m so worried.”
“I think I have a good idea what’s wrong with Edward,” Julia mentioned looking Ed straight in the eyes. He wiped his mouth, still tasting the vile stuff that came from his stomach. He and Al kept asking what was wrong with Ed. Julia sighed, looking at Ed straight in the eyes giving him a serious look before stating, “Ed, you’re pregnant.”
**********
I finally updated. I want to thank the two people that reviewed me for my beginning. This is more into the plot. Because we meet Julia and Jason, I’m thinking of adding another one of my own characters but the only reason I would need him would be to, you know, fall in love with Al. But I’m not sure if I should do that. Do any of my readers thinking I should give little Alphonse a love life? It would be nice but I won’t force anything. Please tell me in a review. It’ll help by making me introduce him (Yes him! A guy!) earlier so it’s not like during the end of the story “Hi” “Hi” “Love you” “Me too” BOOM! They’re in love. Okay, please review, and bye!
I’m back! Thank you for those who reviewed! I really do appreciate it! Here’s chapter two for Life. I hope everyone likes.
