CHAPTER 2- confrontation
Our class turned into a frenzy when the bell went. Everyone was in a rush to get to the cafetiria, eager for lunch. I, for one, took my time, leaving the room. I was in no rush. Even is I did get there first, Michaels or Eddie would probably push me outta line and take my place. The corridors were only half full. Everyone was either in the cafetiria, or outside. I decided to head for the library. No sense heading for the cafetiria if I wasn\'t hungry. My life was worthless anyway, if I was going to die, let it be of starvation...
I found Kenny in the library, typing furiously at his laptop. I sat at the oppisite end of the room hoping to avoid his attention. I always wondered why he dyed his hair brown. He looked way cuter as a redhead. Kenny didn\'t hangout much with Takao and Rei and Kai after the last tournament. I guess they sort of drifted apart. Now he\'s a common target for bullies, and as far as I can tell, Takao and the other guys couldn\'t care less. In the end, I took out my pen and pad and decided to write a story.
It was about a guy who fell in love with another guy but was too afraid of rejection to tell him. Then, some bitch sussed him out and blabbed it to the whole school. Soon, he was dubbed \'dudefucker\'. But the pressure got too much for him and he ended up commiting suicide. Remember the guy he loved? He was the one who found the body in the toilet. He was about to tell him he loved him. Only to find him dead. I finished it around ten minutes before lunch hour ended. I packed my things and left the library.
I approached a vending machine, hoping to get a candy bar or something for my stomach was killing me. And who to see there, but Rei and Kai? They were standing in front of the machine, and Rei was looking through his bag. I hung back and listened in.
\"Hey, Kai, I left my wallet at home, could you get me a drink?\"
\"Sure, whatever.\"
\"Listen, Kai, there\'s something I have to tell you.\"
\"Is this about Mariah? \'Cos if it is...\"
\"No, nothing to do with her. Look...Kai...I..I\"
\"Yeah? Go on.\"
\"Iloveyou.\"
\"Come again?\"
\"I love you.\"
Kai\'s blush brought tears to my face. But what came next could have brought a tsunami. I gasped as Kai leaned in and kissed Rei on the lips. I started crying and immediatly stopped. No. I was not going to let this break me. I ran off in the opposite direction, small sobs escaping from my lips. I ran into the toilet, into the cubicle, not noticing Takao at the sink, washing his hands.
\"Max? Is that you?\"
\"What the hell do you want?\" Even behind closed doors, I could tell he was taken back by my reply.
\"Woah! Is everything okay?\"
\"Yeah. Fine.Just Dandy.\"
\"No Max, I know you. Someting is wrong.\"
\"No, you don\'t fucking know me.. You don\'t know who the hell I am.\"
\"What? Max? Have I done something?\"
\"Oh yeah! It\'s always gotta be you don\'t it? Well, you know what I what I think of you? I think you\'re a worthless little shit who can\'t see past himself.\" Takao didn\'t reply. All I heard was shuffling feet and a door slamming. If I hurt Takao, the God Bless and Good ridience.
