Chapter 2
A Few Years Later
Chichi watched her family with a smile on her face. Her son, now a strong 18 year old, spared with his step brother on the Capsule Corporation’s forever green lawn.
“They are very strong now,” a deep voice whispered into her ear. Chichi shivered as the sound rippled up her spine. She turned around to look at the person, the smile growing larger on her pretty face.
“Yes they have. But do they really have to spar every day Vegeta?”
He smirked and shook his head at her mothering. It had been six years since they mated and he was still getting used to it.
“Do you remember when we first got together?”
Vegeta looked at her oddly when the soft comment reached his ears. He nodded, wondering where this was going. Chichi just beamed up at him before turning her eyes back to her sons. He went to stand next to her, his large hand slipping into its petit mate. He noticed a strange look in her eyes and he knew it had to do with Goku.
“Today is Goku’s birthday.”
Vegeta nodded calmly. He was used to her talking about the dead Saiyan. He knew Chichi still had feelings for Goku, but not like the ones she had for him. They were full mates now, not just married to each other.
“I always wondered what it would be like if I decided to stay with him. Would I still be pining for him in my lonely house? Or would I have already died of unhappiness…” she trailed off. She smiled up at him suddenly, the air of sadness gone.
“But you changed all that. You and Trunks. It just seems so long ago...\"
