Hey, all! Just wanted to comment on the lovely comments. Can’t think how else to do it. (Do folks check back on the story reviews they’ve made to see if the author’s have, well, reviewed their reviews?) Didn't think so, so I'll add a chap, I guess.
Hauntedangel – glad I’m giving you reason to like at least a little EdXWin. (I’m right there with ya on the RoyXEd, but alternatively, I like this pairing, too. How funny is that that “straight” pairing is the alternative one? [g]) Thanks for the comments and, as always, yer support. Your *my* angel…
Nymphetamine Girl – So glad you liked. I had SO much fun writing it. (I believe the idea came to me when I woke up with my hand in my face, but I wouldn’t swear to that. [g] ) I work so, so hard to keep everyone in character, I *obsess* over it, so I’m glad the Real Them came through for you. Thanks for the sweet comments and the huge vote of confidence.
gretel_chan, Girl_Anachronism, Shooby, Marlemon, Mel, Melissa, BlueQuartzFoxy, BlueQuartz, Foxy – Thanks so much, you guys! I’m glad you liked it and laughed and want more. This was only meant to be a one-shot. Do the joke, then you’re done, right? But I’m a people-pleaser and when asked for more, I always try to. Anywho, I’ve got a second one started, but it’s taken a back-seat to another, larger series I’m working on. Will get back to it soon’s I can. It’s pretty cute, though. Heck, have a preview:
Two Bits

“Ed. Stop squirming.”
Edward huffed once, shifting around in the chair like a 5-year old at the barber. “Is this really necessary?”
Hefting the tool in her right hand, she passed it between her fingers like a pro.
“Yes. It is…”
Ed rolled his eyes. “The last time you had your hands in my hair, you nearly pulled half of it out by the roots.”
Winry quirked an eyebrow. “See, and I’m remembering it differently, ‘cause the last time I had my hands in your hair, I seem to remember you weren’t complaining too much…” She fixed him with a meaningful look and was rewarded when he flushed a lovely shade of pink. “’sides, you’re starting to look a little scruffy.”
She bit back a laugh, watching him battle it out over which word he was going to react to…
Edward, for once, took the high ground.
“Who’re you calling “scruffy-looking,” he asked, sounding deeply insulted. Gold eyebrows pinched together, he peered out from behind his wet bangs.
“You, you idiot,” she said, but her voice was soft and her hands were on his face and when she kissed him she made for damn sure he knew she meant it.
Ed’s answering moan was involuntary and barely audible, but it made her toes curl just the same.
She pulled away slowly so she could see the look on his face; sweetly blissed, eyes still closed, lips parted, breath coming in quiet, but ragged pants.
Winry shivered.
No matter how many times she saw it, she’d never get enough of it; she relished every tiny, little sign of her affect on him. After all those years of thinking he was ignoring her…
She brought him round with a kiss to the end of his nose, her hands still cupped around his face, stroking his skin, idly.
Hmmmm…
She caught him staring at her and realized she was rubbing his chin rather roughly.
“What?” His voice held a hint of confusion, but with her hands still squeezing his cheeks, the word just sounded silly, more “wert” than “what.”
Annoyed, (Edward hated sounding silly), he pulled back and away. “What’re you thinking. You’re making me nervous…”
“Well…” She leaned in, rubbing her cheek against the side of his face. “Yep, definitely.”
Now he looked downright worried.
“’What’ definitely?”
“Ed, when was the last time you shaved…?”
“S-shaved?”

[blush] Yeah, I didn’t think it was really aff “appropriate,” but I’m mostly posted here, so wanted this to be here, as well… So I pumped up the profanity, hoping that’d earn me a legit “R”. Hope you didn’t mind. (But, heck, there was tongue. That should count, right? Right?)
Neko-chan – Honey! I’m so glad you got the HOT! (See, anytime someone’s got their hands on Edward and they’re not bringing the pain, THAT’S hot to me… But then, I’m obsessed, so … you know, not normal…)
As for full-out lemon, got one! [See: “Territory” and it’s chapters… Be warned though - it's yaoi. My other fave couple - RoyXEd.] Actually, that’s what I’ve been working on pretty much exclusively. I’m writing this … scene right now that’s pretty much going through my head all the time, and I’m pretty much blushing all the time. People think I’ve got a fever or something. “You OK? You’re looking flushed…”
Thanks for each and every comment. Ain’t nothing more validating that being quoted back to yourself. Yep, definitely feeling warm and fuzzy right now. (Could be the cat hair, though. They’re shedding and it’s everywhere…) And I’m a stickler for them being in character. If they’re not, then it’s a story about someone else, right? Glad it worked for you.
