My second chapter so enjoy

Chapter 2

It was the next day and Rai heard his alarm go of, he tried to find where his alarm was why his eyes where still closed. He was finally able to find it and turned the alarm of, he slowly opened his eyes to see the time. It read 6:32am “man I cant believe I have to get up so early” Rai said to himself. He sat up on the side of the bed and noticed that Kai’s bed was empty.

Rai rubbed his hand threw his long black scruffy hair. He stood up and headed over to the bathroom to have a shower. He was just about to turn the shower on when he realised that his bath towels weren’t on the rack. He strictly remembered putting them their when he was unpacking the day before. “Kai I bet he knows where they are” Rai sais with an angry tone in his voice.

He walked out of the bathroom and then out of the bedroom and saw Kai cooking breakfast in the kitchen. It smelled so good what ever he was cooking but Rai didn’t have time to drawl over food. He walked up to Kai and was just about to say something when Kai turned around and they where just mire inches apart. Rai felt his heart skip a beat and a sudden rush went up his spine. “Is their something you want” Kai’s strong voice brought Rai back to reality.

The raven haired boy soon remember what he was going to ask him. “Yeah where are my bath towels” he asked him. “How should I know” was all Kai said when he walked over to the fridge. “Hey I know you took them so where are they” Rai was getting rather angry now.

Kai turned around and gave Rai one of those death glares the same one when he first met him near the elevator. “Why don’t you look for it instead of accusing me of stealing it” Kai told him. “Fine I will look for it and I bet that it was you who took them” Rai replied and walked straight back to the bedroom.

He looked around and still couldn’t find it anywhere so he decided to have one more look in the bathroom. Rai looked around and their was no sign of his towel anywhere he turned around to head back out. When he saw something on the door from the inside he walked over to it and shut the door a bit and his towel was on a rack which was bolted into the door. “So you found it” he heard a voice from the outside in the bedroom. Rai opened the door and saw Kai just standing their with a smirk on his face. “I was right you are a stupid idiot” Kai then walked of, grabbed his bag and left. Rai heard the door shut hard and knew that Kai was no longer in the dorm room. ‘I feel like such a bone head’ Rai thought to himself.

He had his shower and got ready had some breakfast and headed to his first class. Their where boys and girls everywhere. Some leaving classrooms because their class had finished and some going into classrooms. All the halls where flocked with college students, Rai had a bit of difficulty passing everyone. He had finally got to the classroom where his first class was being held. He walked in and saw many other students sitting at the desks and waiting for the teacher to arrive.

Rai took a seat near the back he was really into sitting at the front of the class. When soon an old looking man walked in. He was wearing a grey suit with a orange tie and a white shirt, and was wearing big round glasses. He put his suitcase on his desk and looked up at the class “welcome everyone I am Mr Snigger I will be your professor for English this year”. Their where a few giggles from some of the other students when the professor told everyone his last name. It was a good this that the professor didn’t hear them laughing otherwise they would have been kicked out for sure.

“Alright I will call out your name and when you hear it either say here or present” the professor told the class. Rai soon heard his name being called out and so he raised his hand and said “here” and put his hand down. The professor soon finished the role and started on with the subject. “Alright I am going to pick someone to read the second paragraph on page 27” the professor told the students.

“Um Rai Kon will you please read the second paragraph please” he asked Rai “yes sir”. Rai stood up with the book in his hand. Thirty minutes soon passed by and class was finished and everyone left the classroom. “Hey Rai” he turned around and saw Max running up to him “hi Max”. “So how was your first class” Max asked him “it was alright” Rai replied. “So have you another class or do you have a break now” Max then asked Rai. “Well my next class starts in half an hour so yeah I have a bit of free time” he told the blonde. “Great well both me and Tyson are meeting at the cafeteria want to come oh Tyson is a friend of mine by the way so you can meet him” he asked Rai. “Sure” and they both walked of to the café to meet up with Max‘s friend Tyson.

When they got their Max waved at a boy with bluenette hair and was wearing a cap on backwards. They both walked over to the table the boy was sitting hat “hey Max whose the new guy” he asked Max. “This is Rai, Rai this is Tyson” he introduced the two of them “nice to meet you” Rai said. “Same” Tyson replied back “so what are the two of you just gonna stand their or are ya gonna sit down” Tyson said.

“So where ya from Rai” Tyson asked him “um I’m from China” he told him. “China hey cool” Tyson said back taking a sip from his soda. “So Tyson where’s Cole” Max asked him “I don’t know somewhere I guess” he replied. “My you sure don’t keep a close eye on your own boyfriend now do you” Max said. Rai’s eyes opened wide when he heard Max say boyfriend, “is something wrong Rai” Max asked him. “I uh well um” Rai felt like a complete idiot just stuttering like that.

“He’s just a bit surprised to find out I have a boyfriend” Tyson said taking another sip. “I’m sorry I don’t mean to be rude” Rai said looking down at his lap. He then heard laughing and looked up and saw both Max and Tyson laughing. “What’s so funny” Rai asked a bit puzzled at the moment. “Sorry Rai you never hanged around a gay guy before have you” Max asked him. “Well no” Rai replied “well I hope you get use to it because you see I have a boyfriend to” Max told him.

Now Rai deffiently felt like an idiot now “you are gay to” Rai said with a stunned look on his face. “Yeap and proud of it I might ask” Max said with a big smile on his face. “You don’t mind do you” he asked Rai. “No not at all I don’t have anything against homosexuals and besides you’re my first friends and well I don’t care” Rai said. “Well I’m glad about that and I guess you will be able to meet both Cole and Galen” Tyson told him. “Yeah and Galen is my boyfriend by the way” Max said.

Tyson, Max and Rai talked some more and laughed when soon they had to head to their next class. Rai’s next class was Theatre which was the main subject he had to do for becoming an actor sometime in the future. He walked into a hall which was rather large and at the far end their was a stage. Their where already some college students sitting on chairs which had been put out. He walked over and realised that he had about five minutes until the class actually started. So he decided to sit down.

“Is this seat taken:” he asked a boy with red curly locks “no” he replied. So Rai sat down and put his books on the floor. “I’m Rai by the way” he said to the boy next to him “I’m Kite” they both shook hands. “Is this your first year here at River Side” Kite asked him “yeah is it yours to” Rai replied. “Yeap and I’m really happy to be here to” Kite said with a big grin on his face. He then heard a door slam from the back where he entered from.

“It’s him it’s him” a girl said “he is so dreamy” another one then said. Rai turned around and couldn’t believe it. It was none other that Kai Hiwatari his new roommate and his new enemy. “Just my luck he had to be in this class” Rai said slouching back down in his chair. He then remembered something that Max told him the other day in the elevator.

Flashback

“Man who was that guy” Rai asked still rubbing his head with a headache coming on. “Oh that was Kai Hiwatari, he’s kind of the big shot around this college” Max said. “He’s more like the college’s big jerk if you ask me, what’s so great about him anyway” Rai said. “Well he is kind of the top number one student here and is the most talented student in his area”

End of Flashback

‘Most talented in his area’ Rai thought to himself and then it hit him he now knew what Max meant. “Don’t tell me he’s taking the acting course to” Rai stood up and said out loud forgetting that he was in class. He then noticed everyone staring at him his cheeks went bright red. He quickly sat down and some of the students laughed. The side door soon opened “settle down class and please take your seats”. Rai looked up and a young man around his early thirties Rai had guessed walked in.

“Now for those who don’t know me I am Mr Edwards and I will be your teacher for this year, of course those from last year who had me as their teacher welcome back” he told everyone. He then sat down on the stage and his legs hanged over the edge. “I will call out the role so when you hear your name just say here” he told the class. “Misa Rose” he said out loud “here” a young girl with brown hair put her hand up. He went through eighteen other names until he got to Rai’s “Rai Kon” he said. But got no answer Rai still couldn’t believe that Kai was doing acting. “RAI KON IS THEIR A RAI KON HERE” Mr Edward’s yelled out.

Rai felt a nudge on his shoulder “Rai he’s calling you” Kite said next to him. “What oh here” Rai said and put his hand up. “Next time respond when I call your name out I don’t want to repeat it again” he told Rai. “Yes sir sorry” and Rai put his hand back down “and Kai Hiwatari” was the last name he called out. “Here” Kai put his hand up “it is nice to have you back in my class Kai I hope you do just as well as you did last year” Mr Edwards told him. “I will” Kai responded and put his hand down and class began.

“Now the first thing we are going to do today is I am going to put you all in pairs” he told the class. “Once you are all in pairs you will all make up a short play scene for the rest of the class to see” he told them. He had paired everyone up and Rai was very thankful that he was paired up with Kite who he had just met. “Alright now that you have a partner you all have twenty five minutes to come up with something, so spread around the hall and begin” he told them all.

Each pairs went to a different part of the hall and began what they where suppose to do. Rai and Kite sat near the side of the wall and faced each other and tried to come up with something that they could do. “So what should we do” Kite asked Rai, “well how about something dramatic like one of us decides to go of to war and the other can be the brother or something and tries to stop them from going how about that” Rai said. “That sounds really good and it seem simple enough to do” Kite agreed with him.

“So what part should we both play” he asked Rai “how about you play the character which tries to convince the other from not going, I know that you will be good at that” Rai told him. “Yeah and besides you would be better at playing the character who wants to go to war anyway” Kite replied.

Twenty minutes was over and all the students had to come and sit back down. Rai and Kite where both happy at what they came up with. They where both able to come up with some great lines on what to say and learned them rather quickly. “Alright for our first little performance I think Fiona and May so will you both show us yours” he said. They did their play and then two other pairs where picked. One the second pair was finished Mr Edwards was going to pick another one.

“Okay thankyou Leon and Andy now for our next pair I will choose Rai and Kite will you both please come up and show us yours” he asked them. “Yes sir” Rai said “you ready” he asked Kite “sure am” Kite replied. They both walked up onto the stage “um we have decided to do out play about a brother trying to convince his older brother from not going to war” Rai told everyone. “Alright please begin” Mr Edwards told them, Rai and Kite took their positions on stage. They where both ready to perform their play for the class.
