Continuing from where I left of

Chapter 3

Both Rai and Kite where ready to do their performance for the class and their teacher. Rai was facing his back to Kite. “But you cant go” Kite said playing his character “I’m sorry brother but I must if I want to protect those I care for” Rai said. He turned around to face Kite “and you think dying to protect us will make us happy” Kite replied. “I have no choice they have asked for men to join so I must”. “But we need you hear mother and father even me I’m begging you brother please don’t go” Kite was saying making it sound as sad as possible and believable. Rai walked up to him and placed his hands on Kite’s shoulders. “No matter what happens to me promise that you will take care of mother and father for me okay” he asked him. Kite looked down “I promise” he replied.

That was the end of their play everyone started clapping “well done that was wonderful you may step down now” Mr Edwards said. They both walked of the stage and walked back to their seats both with a smile on their face. Rai was thrilled that the teacher liked it and that they got an applause as well.

“Alright will Kai and Mark please come up and do yours” Mr Edwards asked. They both stood up and walked up to the stage. “I cant wait to see Kai perform” a girl said giggling “I know he is so wonderful” another said. Rai could hear them because both girls happened to sit right in front of him. ‘This guy cant be that great’ Rai thought to himself but boy was he wrong. Kai and his partner Mark began their play. Rai could not believe it Kai looked so graceful and spoke very profound.

The lesson soon ended and everyone was packing up to go to their next class. “Are you alright Rai” Kite asked him. “Yea yeah I’m fine” Rai stood up grabbed his books and left the hall leaving a very confused Kite behind.

‘Now I know why everyone makes such a big fuss about him, their’s no way I could match up to his standards’ he thought to himself. Rai stopped in his tracks and looked up to the big blue sky. He had a very sad look on his face one which you thought you could do anything when in truth it was all just a fantasy. “Maybe Max was right I guess he is the best” Rai said to himself, huh I guess all I have to do is try my best” he said to himself.

He walked into the college building to get to his next class not really focusing where he was going in the hall way. Until he bumped into someone hard, Rai fell back and his books went everywhere “ow oh sorry about that” he held his head and looked up. Of course he just had to bump into the one person he deffiently didn’t want to be around at the moment.

“Your not just a stupid idiot you are also a klutz” Kai said, the three guys behind him just laughed. Rai knew they must be his little gang club from hell and Kai was the Satan. But Rai was deffiently getting sick and tied of being called names. “Alright that’s it” Rai said raising his voice. He quickly stood up in front of Kai and bulled one of his hands into a fist and brought it up to Kai’s face. “Okay you jerk you might think you’re a big shot at this college but do you know what you really are” he started saying still with a raised voice. “You are a big stupid jerk with grey and dark hair which I don’t know what that’s all about, a stuck up brat who thinks he’s the best and a big mouth full of words which he cant back it up and, and A GAY WANNABE” he yelled that last bit out.

Some of the college students around them and stood staring at Ray “did you hear what that kid just said” someone said. “I know I cant believe he called Kai that” another said back.

Rai didn’t realise that some of the students were staring at him. “Is that all” Kai said with his normal tone of voice. “If that is all you have to say then your wasting my time” Kai turned around and started to walk away. “WAIT” Rai yelled out Kai and his buddies stopped “you may think you’re the best at acting but I, I will prove to you that your not the only one who can be great” Rai told him. Kai then just walked of and Rai watched him turn around the corner “I’ll show him” Rai said to himself with an angry glare on his face.

The bell soon rang “holy shit I forgot I have to get to class” he then ran through the hallway’s. Rai got to the classroom just in the nick of time. He took a seat and the teacher walked in and started the lesson.

The day had finally ended for Rai it had felt like it went on forever, he was glad that it was over though. He had not expected his very first day of actually starting college to be such a down hill. It was bad enough being roomed up with a complete asswhole and being called stupid idiot all the time. Of course it deffiently got even worse when he walked in on Kai when he was half naked.

But what was the nightmare was having him in his drama class, of all classes it just had to be that one. Also to top that all of he thinks he’s the greatest in the entire college that was what really ticked Rai of owe and being called names as well. To think that college would be fun when for Rai it was hell.

He headed to his dorm room hoping that a certain someone wasn’t their. He hadn’t seen Max or Tyson since his break earlier on during the day. He got to his dorm room and was about to open the door when he heard some talking coming from the inside. He knew that Kai must be in their and with some one no less. ‘I guess I could go and see Max down stairs’ he thought to himself. So he walked back to the elevator and went down to the second floor. The elevator doors opened and he walked into the hallway. “Now what number was it again oh that’s right room 32” he said to himself remembering what dorm room Max was in.

“28, 29, 30, 31, uh 32 this must be it” he then knocked on the door “just a minute” he heard someone from inside. The door opened and their stood a guy probably around Rai’s age or maybe a bit older with black hair which was tied in a small ponytail. “Uh you must be Rai right” the guy asked him. “Yes I am” Rai said back “well its great to meet you Rai” he said shaking Rai’s hand rather roughly. “I’m Galen” he told Rai letting go of Rai’s hand, “then you must be Max’s boyfriend right” Rai asked. “So Max told you about me ha, ha, ha” he said laughing “Galen what are you laughing at” Rai heard a voice.

“Oh Rai hey coming to say hello” Max said “yes but if your busy I can come back” Rai said with a bit of a blush on his cheeks. “Not at all come in come in” Galen said and patted Rai’s back quite hard to make him come inside. Rai nearly lost his balance but was able to stay steady and didn’t fall over. “So you want a drink” Galen asked him with a really big smile on his face, “we have coke, juice, milk we also have chocolate milk, strawberry milk, uh cordial lime which is my favourite um” he was about to go on. “Juice will be fine thanks” Rai said “alright we have apple juice, orange juice, tropical juice”. “Orange juice is fine” Rai quickly said to make him stop, “alright cool I will be back in a jiffy” and he ran of to the kitchen.

“Sorry about that he can be like that a bit when we have new guests” Max told him. “That’s alright but I have to say you must have a rather large fridge to have so many drinks” Rai asked him. “Yeah it actually belongs to Galen so its kind of good having a big fridge and well Galen likes a lot of drinks that he just has to buy nearly all of them” Max told Rai. “Well he seems nice” Rai replied. “How long have you both been seeing each other” Rai asked “TWO YEARS NOW” he heard Galen yell from the kitchen. “Wow you both must really care about each other” Rai said. Galen came back to the lounge and handed Rai his drink and sat down on the couch beside Max.

“Yeap and its going good to” Galen said taking Max’s hand in his, “I’m really happy for you both” Rai said. “So how about you Rai do you have a special someone” Galen asked him. “Me well no not at the moment” Rai told him. “So what do you like better guys or girls” he then asked leaning forward with a smirk on his face. “Well uh I don’t really know I have never really thought about it before” Rai said with a bit of a blush on his cheeks. “Well you know you should experiment are you a virgin or a non virgin” he then asked. Rai’s face went an even brighter red “Galen that is a personal thing you shouldn’t ask him that” Max said. “Hey where all guys I mean surly its an okay question to ask” Galen said. “So Rai” he then said, Rai was looking down at his hands.

“I I um I oh look at the time I better be of” he said and put his drink on the table. “Thanks for having me um I will see you later ok” he told Max. he quickly grabbed his books and left the dorm room in a quick flash. Once the door shut Max gave Galen a scary glare “what”.

Once Rai had left the room he headed back to the elevator and waited for the doors to open. Once they opened he walked inside and pressed the button for the third floor. ‘He maybe nice and all but asking if I’m a virgin or not now how could I answer that’ Rai thought to himself. He heard then ding from the elevator and the doors opened. He walked out and headed back to his room, when he got their he couldn’t hear anyone talking anymore. ‘Maybe Kai went out or something’ Rai then opened the door and walked in.

He dropped his bag and books on the lounge room floor and just flopped down on the lounge. He put his arm over his face to block out the sunlight and to think. ‘God what could I have said I mean still being a virgin at the age of 19 isn’t bad enough and then being asked if I am one jeez’ he thought to himself. “If I knew this was going to happen I should have just gone to Loft Side College instead” he said. “Then why didn’t you” he heard someone say but he would no that voice from anywhere.

“Piss of I wasn’t speaking to you” he said to Kai “besides if I knew that I was going to be sharing a room with an asswhole I would’ve gone” he said. Rai sat up and watched Kai head to the kitchen. “Well I didn’t know I would be sharing with a complete idiot” Kai replied back. “Well I didn’t know I would be sharing with a complete idiot” Rai said what Kai just said but in a sarcastic way. “Now you know why I call you an idiot all the time” Kai said walking over to one of the lounge chairs and sat down and grabbed the newspaper from the table.

“What ever, so tell me something how is it I was put in the same room as you, I mean everyone thinks your such a top notch student and that your cool and all which I totally disagree with but surely anyone would want to share with you so why now would you want to share with someone” Rai asked him. Kai looked up at Rai with his not so nice stare “I had no choice in the matter” he just said and looked back down at the newspaper he was reading. “What do you mean you had no choice” Rai then asked. “What’s with all the questions first you call me an asswhole and now your asking me questions, why” he then asked Rai.

Rai just sat their he wondered himself why was he talking to the guy he totally despised. “Just curious that’s all but who cares I don’t know why I’m even talking to you anyway” he said. Rai stood up and headed to the bedroom once inside he shut the door. He leaned up against the door and put a hand up to his head. ‘What was I thinking asking him why he’s sharing rooms with me, Rai you idiot your supposed to be ignoring him not having chats with him’ he thought to himself. He walked over to his bed and laid down and decided to take a nap where he could get away from it all.

Kai put the newspaper back down on the table and leaned back against the chair. ‘Asking me I have decided to share with someone, he really is an idiot’ Kai thought to himself. He looked at the bedroom door which Rai had just walked through. ‘I wonder myself why I decided to share with someone, of course I was hoping it would be someone who wasn’t a complete goof ball’ he then thought. A small smile then spread across his lips, Kai touched his mouth ‘who would have thought’.
