Question
Thanos6;; Thank you, I'm glad you think I did good with Trunks and Goten. I think you will see more of their personalities in this one. I'm thinking I got it down pretty well. I'm sorry that you feel that way with Vegeta though. XD I actually think I did okay with his personality (basing it off of the way he was with Trunks when he found out he went Super Saiyan) but trust me, he will play a good guy role in this big time.
AN: Reviews will now be answered with a page I am setting up guys. I'll get it to you in the next chapter.
Now an important topic with ages, I might have told you guys they were the ages they are in GT, but they are not. They are to old in GT for my liking. XP So currently Trunks is 19 and Goten is 18, everybody good with that? I hope so.

Chapter Three: Question
Trunks groaned as he turned over, already knowing that when he would open his eyes that light would be pouring into the tent’s roof. He rubbed the sleep from them first before braving the pain that would come from looking at his surroundings. They burned slightly from his lack of sleep, but despite the fact that it was only slightly, Trunks could not tolerate pain to his eyes like the rest of his body could tolerate being beaten to a pulp. He sat up with a groan and looked to the sleeping bag next to him, seeing that Vegeta was no longer there.
“You’re finally awake!” Goten was smiling wide in the opening of the tent. Trunks figured that hearing Goten come close to the atrocity of a shelter was why he woke up. The younger demi crawled in through the opening, seeing that Trunks had scooted over for him to have a space. The blue eyed demi knew that Goten wouldn’t even dare to go near Vegeta’s sleeping bag; rather the man was there or not.
“Where’s my dad?” He asked, now that he thought about Vegeta’s sleeping bag being empty.
“They went to go spar already, since you slept in.” Goten turned towards Trunks, giving him a wide smile. “You were spared my friend.”
“I just have the feeling I may get punished for this.” He groaned as he lay back down on the pillow, wishing that it was his bed.
“I don’t know, maybe he feels bad for last night.” Goten giggled which causes Trunks to give him a deathly glare.
“Shut up!” The older Saiyan half breed rolled his eyes, “I knew I should have lied to you.”
“But I’m your best friend… plus I tell you… things…” he looked away, his eyes darting to the top of the tent, where he could see a view of the pink sky above them. It was a topic that Goten didn’t even know if he wanted to hint at or not, since there was never a real talk about what Trunks thought.
Knowingly, best friend took the cue to say something then – he was sure that Goten felt regret for saying anything in the first place. “It’s your stupid fault for me having that dream.” Despite the harsh word, he still said it in a clam and soft voice.
Goten blinked, looking at him in a questioning look. The younger male did not want to jump to the conclusion and ask if the dream was about him. He looked so apprehensive that Trunks smiled, thinking that it was almost adorable.
“Don’t be so nervous around me, I thought I was your best friend.” He laughed and pushed at Goten’s face before sitting up. “I’ve known you you’re entire life… and you are going to act like this one little thing is going to change my mind about you?”
“It does with some people…” He said with a blush crossing over his face as he buried his head in the pillow that Trunks was previously laying on.
“I’m not some people.” He grinned wide with a wink to Goten. He pushed the hair back out of his face and stretched, noticing the questioning look on Goten’s face. “What…?”
“You don’t mind because you are the same way…?” Goten wasn’t sure about the statement and would deny that he asked out of hope. There were hints though, so many. There was the fact that Trunks hadn’t had many girlfriends at all and he was already out of high school – still single, he acted like it was a complete crime just to be stared at, and to top it all off... Goten made him have a ‘stupid’ dream? Those were signs to Goten alright.
Trunks stared down at Goten with wide eyes. “Goten… don’t accuse me just so that I would have a reason to not care.” His face matched Goten’s blush, but he didn’t look away from the other demi in embarrassment. “I never thought about it much.”
It was Goten’s turn to sigh as he sat up as well, away from the pillow and blushed harder, realizing that Trunks would probably poke fun at him for being so red. He was surprised when the other did not and frowned slightly at the silence. “What’s wrong…?” He asked, braving his voice as he watched Trunks smile.
The older half breed shook his head at the younger, reassuringly. “There’s nothing wrong, I was just thinking. I really need to do a lot of it on this topic before we talk about this anymore Goten, okay?”
Goten nodded, knowing that it would be for the best, “Then do you want to go spar now?” He smiled wide after a moment.
Trunks grinned as he made his way out of the tent in a hurry, “I’ll bet you there.” With his words said, he was off in the air already flying towards their spar area.
“Hey! That’s not far!” Even after all those years and Trunks graduating from high school, he still acted like his old self sometimes. Goten was almost surprised sometimes how Trunks could change his moods, sometimes he was the sophisticated business man that his mother wanted him to be and then other times he was picking on Goten and trying to get his way like the brat he was when they were children.
Goten had matured a lot over the years as well, though in his spare time from school he was usually with his girlfriend and not with Trunks. Now that his best friend was already graduated and he was stuck behind still in school, they weren’t around each other then either.
Once the younger demi Saiyan made it to the sparring ground he landed, finding Trunks standing before him with that arrogant smirk of his. “You jerk!”
“Come on Goten, don’t be that way. You could have flown faster if you really wanted to win.”
The dark haired demi growled as he looked over at Trunks, clearly not happy with that statement at all. “You cheated.”
“If you are so mad about it then why don’t you just beat me up?” Trunks taunted. He was only playing with the younger male and he knew Goten wouldn’t hold it against him in the long run. He just loved to get Goten riled up before they sparred though, it was fun to watch the other get angry at him for such little things that wouldn’t last.
The teasing got the younger half breed into flying at Trunks and a punch thrown at him along with several kicks, all of which he missed to begin with, until Goten got faster than he expected and landed a bunch on his cheek.
“Damn Goten.” Trunks flinched away from him and elbowed him in the side as he got out of the way of another kick. Goten had gotten a lot faster than the last time they sparred which was almost a surprised for the lavender haired demi.
………
They had already been sparring for hours before they were both deemed too exhausted to even stand for long. Goten sat up and smirked at Trunks mockingly, the younger demi did not win, but neither did the smart ass that kept up the talk the entire match.
“Stop grinning like that.” Trunks warned as he sat up as well. Giving Goten a glare and trying to seem as a threat to him. They were now lying by the fire that Goku had burning now for their dinner that they had all already eat. Now they were the only two awake, even if they were beyond exhausted now.
This is how it used to be though, they used to stay up all night together and mess around. They both had already been reminiscing about what used to be and what now is. Now they both had the same questions in there head and wondering about what the other thought about ‘the now’. “If you could go back would you?”
“Back to what?” Trunks asked as he looked over at Goten, but the answer was already clear.
“I don’t know… to when we were younger?”
Trunks’s shrugged, not completely a hundred percent sure with his answer, “I don’t think so… I know we were always together then, but I was such a jerk…” He laughed as he used the word that Goten had earlier.
Goten pouted playfully at him as he pushed him down, “You are still a jerk.” He said with a shove into the ground and his elbow resting in Trunks’s rib. Trunks pushed Goten’s elbow off of him, causing the younger male to collapse on top of his chest.
He smirked as he looked up at the dark haired friend. “I should answer your earlier question.”
Goten looked down at him confused, unsure of what question he had asked in the past few minutes. He didn’t remember saying anything. He frowned when Trunks’s started laughing and shaking his head, “You are almost as ditzy as your girlfriend Goten.”
The younger demi did not appreciate the comment at all and frowned, “She’s not ditzy!” When the laughs got louder he frowned and pushed down on Trunks’s shoulder, frustrated, “Hey! I’m not either!”
Trunks smiled, his laugh fading as he looked up at the angered look on Goten’s face. He wasn’t sure if he really wanted to answer the question from earlier though, he didn’t really have time to think about it – yet there was something that made him want to lean up and placed his lips against Goten’s. By the look on the other’s face he was starting to think that Goten had felt the same way about it. He leaned up, freezing at the sound of rustling and looking over at the tents that they slept in, Goten also turning and following the gaze.
“You are not getting out of training with me tomorrow, so I suggest that you come to bed now.”
Trunks groaned to himself, ‘why did he always have to be around at the most inconvenient times!?’ He was starting to wonder if his father knew something that he didn’t when it came to the two demi Saiyans.
