‘thoughts’
It was Saturday, the birds were chirping and the sun rose as if it were already setting. Its yellow rays shined on the orange leaves below, giving off a fall affect. Vegeta yawned as he stretched out on his bed. ‘Hm. Should I sleep in all day or hang out with my friends? Oh, shit. I still need to do my homework.’ The tired teen sat up at the thought. He moved to rub his eyes but yelped when he remembered what happened the night before. ‘Right. I’m already regretting what it’ll look like.’ He could still see out of both eyes, so that must’ve meant there was little swelling. He made his way over to his dresser, where a big mirror sat. As soon as he looked at himself, he jumped back. “Holy shit!” He leaned forward as he gently touched the side of his purple face. He was surprised it wasn’t swollen shut, but it did hurt to blink. He kept his eye half shut, since it hurt just keeping it open. “Bastard.” He growled at the person responsible for his pain.
Vegeta then looked around for his pair of dark sunglasses. Once he found them, he put them on to see how much they covered. He turned his face at different angles and noticed that they covered most of the mark, but a little still peeked around the edges. Not to mention that the bruise on his forehead, from him hitting the table, is screaming out for all to see. ‘I wonder if I can wear a hat…nah, it’d be a dead giveaway. Not to mention it’ll look horrible. I’ll have to come up with an excuse then.’
Vegeta slipped on a pair of faded jeans, t-shirt, and a black jacket, then went to the bathroom and did his business and brushed his teeth. He looked in the mirror to see what his hair was doing and decided it was fine before he slipped on a pair of shoes. He came up with a good excuse for his bruises then went downstairs for some breakfast. He was greeted by the sight of his father, who was hunched over the table with a coffee sitting in front of him and an ice pack on his head. ‘Looks like the alcohol is hitting him hard today.’ “Morning, father.” He greeted quietly; getting yelled at all too often for him to quiet down in the mornings.
“Ugh.” His father groaned in response, unable to answer with a more cheerful response. He turned his head toward his son, who grabbed a box of cereal and a bowl from the cupboard and sat down across from him. He immediately sat up when he saw a huge bruise on his head. “Good, God child. What the hell did you do to your head?” He groggily reached over to hold his son’s face to look at the bruise more closely.
Vegeta tried not to flinch when his father reached for him, a reflex reaction. “I, uh…got hit by a ball during gym yesterday.” ‘Good one.’
“Hm.” His dad gently turned his head a little to get a better view at it. “Well, you did a good job.” He paused when he noticed something around his son’s shades. He moved his hand lower and took a hold of his chin to turn his head and looked more at the slightly showing bruised skin. “What’s that?”
Vegeta hesitated. “Nothing.” He answered bluntly.
“Bullshit.” He took his shades off and gasped. “Damn!” He recovered quickly. “You need to quit getting into fights! How’s it going to look on your record when people see that you got kicked out of school because of them? Huh?” His father should be used to seeing the bruises, since Vegeta tells him the same reason how he got them every time he sees them.
Vegeta swallowed and answered quietly. “Not good.”
His father was baffled. “More than not good! You won’t have a future!” He let go of his son’s face and muttered some unintelligent words under his breath. His father was very concerned about his son’s education. He guessed it was because he didn’t really have one of his own.
“I know, alright? Don’t worry about it.” Vegeta replied simply and began eating his cereal.
“Ugh, don’t yell!” His dad rested his head on the table and moved the ice pack more on it.
Vegeta looked at him for a moment. “Father, you really need to lay off the drinking. You’re killing your brain cells.” He said to him softly.
He was quiet for a moment. “Don’t worry about it.” He repeated what his son said.
Vegeta sighed with frustration, not willing to give up so easily. “How about this, I’ll lay off the fighting if you lay off the drinking.” He stared at his hung-over guardian.
His father was quiet for a few moments then sat up and looked at his son, who had a stern look on his face. He sighed then. ‘He probably gets into fights because he’s embarrassed that his father’s a drunk.’ “Fine, but I better see results.” His dad hunched back over, still holding the ice pack to the source of the pain.
Vegeta smiled. “Likewise.” That just worked out perfectly, considering that his father provided the bruises. He went back to eating his breakfast then moved his dishes to the sink when he was finished. “Are you working tonight?” He asked loudly enough over the running water, but not loud enough to where it’ll cause his father pain.
“Of course. The weekends are when the doe really comes in.” He answered with a slight smile then groaned.
Vegeta nodded. “Right. Promise not to drink too much?” He shut off the water and looked to his dad.
He didn’t answer.
“Father!” Vegeta didn’t care if he made the pain worse. He deserved it if he’s going to kill himself slowly like this.
“Ugh! Alright, alright! I promise not to drink that much! Now, stop yelling!” He clutched his head.
Vegeta smiled in triumph. “Good. Can I hang out with my friends today?” He leaned against the sink as he waited for an answer.
“I don’t give a shit. Why are you asking?” His dad glanced at him with a confused look.
‘I knew it. He seems to be getting worse and worse every time he drinks.’ “Just don’t want you to worry.” Vegeta answered simply and went over to the table to grab his shades and carefully slipped them on, then headed for the door.
“Hey! Don’t forget to do your homework!” He stopped him.
Vegeta placed his hand on the knob and turned towards him. “Actually, I was thinking about getting a tutor to help me with it. I’m having a hard time understanding it lately.”
His father groaned. “I don’t care how you do it, just get it done.” Vegeta opened the door. “Oh, and put some ice on your eye before you go to bed, otherwise it’ll swell shut tomorrow.” He pointed out.
He nodded. “I will.” Then slowly made his way outside, in case his dad had anything else to tell him before he left.
Before Vegeta went next door, he looked at the palace across the street to see if anyone was home. ‘Damn it. Forgot to look and see if they made it home yet.’ He stood for a moment, looking for any sign of movement. His eyes moved to the kitchen when his good eye saw two figures sitting together. Kakarot and his dad were both smiling, eating their breakfast, he supposed. Vegeta smiled at the picture, wishing he was a part of it. After they left the room, which was all windows by the way, Vegeta came back to reality and almost forgot why he was outside in the first place. It clicked when he heard Sentaro’s mom yelling. ‘Of course.’
He stepped up on the porch and knocked on the metal frame of the screen door. After waiting a few minutes, Sentaro’s overweight mom answered, a cigarette between her plump lips. She took a hold of the cancer stick between her fingers and pulled it away, exhaling a puff of smoke into Vegeta’s face. “Yeah, what do you want?” She asked grouchily and took another inhale of her cigarette.
Vegeta didn’t breathe as the smoke dissipated around him. “Is Sentaro up?”
She exhaled another puff of contaminated air. “Nope. Been trying to get his ass up for a couple hours now. Why, you two gonna hang out today while I clean the house all by myself?” She gave him a glare, knowing all too well that that’s what it was.
Vegeta looked at her for a moment then nodded. “Yep. May I get him?” He didn’t wait for a response as he squeezed passed her and ran up the stairs. ‘It’s not like you exactly help him when you clean, you lazy bitch.’ Vegeta rolled his eyes at the thought as he stood in front of his friend’s door and knocked. Not expecting an answer, he walked right in, only to see a lump underneath the covers of the bed. He walked over beside the bed and crossed his arms with a smirk. “Don’t tell me I got out of bed today just to watch your ass sleep.” His smirk remained when the lump groaned and rolled over.
“Ugh, what is with you people in getting up so early? Doesn’t anyone sleep until noon anymore?” Sentaro mumbled as he sat up, squinting his tired eyes at his best friend.
Vegeta pretended to act shocked. “Aw and I thought you were just pretending to be asleep so you wouldn’t have to clean the house today.” He bent over and threw off the covers. “Come on, get up. It’s time to do some spying.” He ordered.
Sentaro looked up at his friend, not reacting in having the covers thrown off of him. “What’s with the shades?”
Vegeta avoided the question. “Come on, let’s go before he leaves again.” He walked over to the window and peeked across the street, to see if the handsome teen was still there.
Sentaro didn’t know whether to keep prying his friend about the sunglasses or to comment at this other discovery, knowing all too well who ‘he’ is. “He made it back?” He asked with a tired tone and rubbed his eyes.
Vegeta didn’t move from his spot. “Yeah. I just saw him.” Vegeta continued his search until his eyes saw movement in Kakarot’s bedroom. He had a much better angle from his friend’s bedroom window than in his own. He wondered if Sentaro ever watched his crush, but decided not to switch to jealous mode as he noticed said crush changing his clothes. He sighed dreamily as Kakarot pulled his shirt off over his head, his arms up, disentangling himself from his shirt as he showed off his muscled torso. “Oh, God. He’s getting undressed.” He practically moaned to his friend, who was still trying to wake up.
Sentaro shook his head and yawned. “Good to know. So, what are we doing today?” He tried recalling if they made plans or not.
“Hold on. I want to watch this.” Vegeta tried quieting his friend so he could concentrate on the beautiful figure before his eyes.
Kakarot threw his shirt to the floor then moved to undo his pants. He was facing Vegeta at an angle, but he still had a perfect view. Vegeta’s breathing became more labored, eagerly waiting to see the delicious treasure underneath those garments. ‘God, I hope he’s not wearing any underwear.’ His crush then moved his hands to his hips and slowly pushed down his pants as he wiggled his hips a bit to get them off easier. Vegeta whimpered at the sight. “Hey, don’t even think about masturbating in here. Go do that in your own room.” Sentaro was watching his friend every once in a while as he got dressed. Strange noises were coming out of him and he was not liking it.
Vegeta ignored him as he bit his lip, Kakarot began removing his boxers, but turned his back towards Vegeta. “No! Turn back this way…please…” He gripped the curtains, really getting into his little peep show. Of course, Kakarot didn’t oblige as he quickly pulled down his boxers and moved toward his dresser to pick out some clean clothes. Vegeta moaned at the sight of Kakarot’s nicely shaped ass and started to drool as he bent over to retrieve something at the bottom drawer. “Oh, fuck…” Vegeta gasped as he licked his lips.
Sentaro looked at his friend unsurely, then slowly backed out of his room and headed for the bathroom. Vegeta didn’t notice his friend leave as he continued to watch the naked teen across the street. Kakarot stood to hold a shirt up to himself then deciding it was the one he wanted, he grabbed a pair of pants and headed to his bathroom for his morning shower. Unfortunately for Vegeta, there were no windows in the bathroom. Vegeta groaned in disappointment and slumped against the window, like he just had an orgasm. ‘This turned out to be a good morning.’ He showed a lust-filled expression as he daydreamed about what he just saw.
A few minutes later, Sentaro hesitantly peeked his head in. ‘Do I dare go in.’ He peered more into his room when he noticed his friend kneeling on the floor, arms resting on the window ledge and his head rested above them as he stared off into space. “Is it safe to come in now?” He broke Vegeta’s dream world.
He glanced at Sentaro with a confused look, then looked around him and remembered where he was. “Oh, yeah…my bad.” He chuckled lightly and stood. “So…what are we doing today?” He looked at his dumbfounded friend, completely forgetting his plans.
“Uh…I don’t know. Let’s go over to Noah’s and ask him.” Sentaro pointed in the direction of their other friend’s home and went to put on his shoes and hoodie (not a word, but it should be).
“Okay.” Vegeta answered simply, a grin now placing his features.
Sentaro eyed him skeptically, but proceeded to put on his shoes and then headed out the door. Vegeta followed him downstairs as they ran out the front door, trying to avoid Sentaro’s mom. They succeeded in avoiding her presence, but not her yelling. They laughed as they ran a little ways from the house and out into the street. Vegeta couldn’t help but look back at the house he obsessively watched day and night. He saw Kakarot’s father sitting in the living room, reading the newspaper, but no sign of Kakarot. ‘He must still be taking a shower.’ His grin turned into a perverted one as he imagined a wet, naked Kakarot rubbing soap on himself in a teasing way.
However, he was yanked out of the provocative vision when his friend pulled on his jacket. “Come on, man. Stop daydreaming about your weird hunk and concentrate on walking down the street.” He pulled him to the sidewalk as a car drove by, honking at them, then let him go. Of course, it wasn’t uncommon for Sentaro to guess what his friend was thinking about. ‘Since that’s all you seem to be daydreaming about lately.’
It took a moment for Vegeta to register what he just said. “Hey, he’s not weird. He’s different…in a gorgeous, mysterious, perfect sort of way.” Vegeta stumbled over his words as he tried to think of the best way to describe the beautiful teen.
“Uh huh.” Sentaro let the subject drop, knowing that his friend could talk all day about the strange new boy. Instead, he turned his attention toward Vegeta. “So, how bad is it?” All he got was a puzzled look. “The bruises. I mean, they must be bad if you’re wearing shades.” Vegeta’s mood suddenly went downhill, remembering what had happened. “Holy shit!” Sentaro stopped him when he finally noticed the bruise on his head. Vegeta sighed at his friend’s reaction. Sentaro stepped closer to take a good look at it. “Damn.” He whispered then stepped back. “What the hell did he do to you?”
Vegeta frowned and made a last attempt at making it seem like it wasn’t so bad. “I ran into a door in my hurry to escape.”
“Ha! You’re high if you think I’m going to believe in something as stupid as that.” He gave him a skeptical look.
Vegeta sighed in defeat. “Alright, I slipped on a banana peel and spun out of control in my haste to go upstairs, but then I was about to trip over a monkey, who left the banana peel there in the first place. So, I redirected myself and stepped on a rake, causing it to fling up and hit me in the head.” He kept a straight face the whole time he explained this.
Sentaro quirked an eyebrow and stared at him for a moment. “Now, that actually sounds more believable.” He smiled.
Vegeta rolled his eyes. “Idiot.”
They continued onward to their friend’s house and Sentaro knocked on the door as soon as they got there. A moment later, the door opened and revealed a skinny brown head in nothing but a sports bra and pajama pants. “Oh, hey you guys.” She said seductively and moved slightly from side to side in her place, bringing attention to her chest. “What brings you here?” She smiled, knowing that this always worked on men.
Both of them sneered in disgust. ‘I can’t believe she’s not pregnant yet.’ Sentaro thought in awe. ‘I don’t think so, whore.’ Vegeta thought angrily. “We’re here for your brother. Is he up?” Sentaro wanted to get Noaru and leave as soon as possible.
“Yeah, he’s in the living room. So…” She told them quickly where her brother was, then proceeded to woo them. “Either of you going to the Oktoberfest next weekend?” She leaned forward more and licked her lips, looking between the two uninterested boys.
However, they both froze at the mention of the event. ‘Oh, crap. The Oktoberfest is this weekend?’ Sentaro panicked slightly in thought. ‘Oh yeah, I forgot that was next weekend.’ Vegeta looked down in thought. “Pft, no. I have better things to do.” Sentaro made an excuse for himself, even though secretly he was going.
“Oh, too bad. And you Vegeta?” She turned all of her attention on him.
He looked up. “None of your business.”
She was about to answer when Noaru came up behind her. “Oh, hey guys. What’s up?” He pushed himself in front of his sister as he greeted his friends, then whispered to her, “Beat it.”
She pouted, but did what her brother said. Though, it didn’t stop her from making one last attempt at going out with her brother’s friends. “Hey, you two. If you’re ever bored, you know who to call.” She winked at them as they sneered and she walked away.
Noaru watched her leave, then turned back to his friends. “So what brings you two here?”
“We decided we would hang out today, so…c’mon.” Sentaro explained then started walking back down the sidewalk, heading downtown.
“Okay.” Noaru shut his front door as Vegeta waited for him then followed.
Vegeta looked at his quiet friend and couldn’t help but ask, “What the hell are you wearing?”
Noaru looked at his attire and shrugged. “I just put something on. I couldn’t find any socks that matched, so I just put on a pair and I didn’t think it’d be that cool out so I grabbed a light jacket.”
“Your shoes don’t even match.” Vegeta pointed at his shoes.
“I couldn’t find any shoes that did.” Noaru shrugged again.
“Just how many shoes do you have?”
“I don’t know. I lost count.” Noaru replied bluntly.
Vegeta rolled his eyes and muttered, “You look like a rainbow.”
Noaru heard him. “Thank you.”
Vegeta chuckled and smiled at his friend, both of them knowing all too well that that wasn’t a compliment. “You’re welcome.” They both trudged along behind their friend when he twirled around toward them and grinned.
“The Oktoberfest! I can’t believe I almost forgot about it! I’ve been looking forward to getting drunk all month! You guys going?” He paused in his exciting dance and waited for his friends’ reply.
“Well, I don’t know. I, for one, am not looking forward to drinking myself into a coma and I’m pretty damn sure I don’t want to put up with your drunken ass.” Vegeta smirked. “Besides, you’re not even of drinking age. Who would give you a beer?”
“Oh, I know people.” Sentaro thought of an idea to get his friend to go for sure. “I know! Why don’t you ask Kakarot to go with you? I’m sure he’ll be interested in going with a beautiful stranger such as yourself.” Sentaro laughed at Vegeta’s expression.
“I don’t think so! If Kakarot and I are going to go on any date, and that’s exactly what it sounds like you’re implying, it wouldn’t be to get drunk and act like a fool in front of the whole town!” Vegeta yelled exasperatedly at his idiotic friend.
Sentaro tried to control his laughing as Vegeta vented at him. “Ho, fine. But you’re never going to go out with him if you keep avoiding chances like this. What about you Noah?” Sentaro wiped at a few stray tears from his laughing, then turned to his other friend.
Noaru lifted his head from watching his feet to look at Sentaro. “I don’t see why I should go. I always feel out of place when I go to events like that.” He went back to watching his feet as he walked.
“Aw, c’mon Noah. You’re always out of place everywhere you go.” Sentaro stated matter-of-factly as he moved beside him and put an arm on his friend’s shoulders.
Noaru flinched at the nickname. “Thanks.” He answered solemnly.
“Sentaro, why don’t you just go with your irresistible boy toy? I’m sure he’d love to get wasted with someone as annoying as yourself.” Vegeta dragged out the word ‘love.’
“Hey, now. That’s not right. I compliment you and you insult me? Wait…you always do that.” Sentaro added on when he recalled how his friend is. “Jerk.” He glared at him. Noaru glanced at Vegeta and sheepishly smiled at him, as if in thanks.
Vegeta laughed. “Well, you deserved it.”
Sentaro removed his arm from Noaru’s shoulders and frowned, but didn’t reply. No one said a word until they arrived downtown. As they walked by the movie theater, Sentaro noticed a vampire/werewolf movie that he’s been wanting to see has finally made it to theaters. “Hey! We should see Underworld Awakening! I’ve been wanting to see it ever since they first showed the previews!” He stopped in front of the theater, excitement clearly in his eyes.
“Okay, but we’ll have to see it later. It doesn’t show until one.” Vegeta stated as they moved on.
“Okay.” Sentaro frowned and stared longingly at the theater until it was out of his seeing range. Then, his stomach growled. “You guys hungry? I haven’t eaten anything yet. Since someone woke me up and rushed me out the door.” He looked at Vegeta pointedly.
“Well, I guess I could’ve left you there. Where your mom would have you cleaning the house like a little slave, while I stayed at home with my hung over father.”
Noaru looked at him as he said this and took note of his friend’s shades and the bruise on his head. He face frowned in sorrow, but didn’t say anything.
Sentaro tilted his head in a thoughtful way. “You’re right. It’s worth starving if it means getting out of the house. So, how about pizza?”
Noaru shrugged in agreement, but Vegeta said he wouldn’t eat anything. Since he ate breakfast and wanted to save room for the popcorn.
After Sentaro practically ate a whole stuffed crust pizza by himself (ugh, now I want one ><), Vegeta looked at the clock on the wall and realized it was almost one. “We should get going if we don’t want to wait in line.” Vegeta stood.
“Alright! Werewolf and vampy madness!” Sentaro stood excitedly and they all headed outside.
Sentaro had to pay for lunch since he was the one that wanted to eat, but they each had to pay their way in the theater. As soon as they found seats in the balcony area, Sentaro gasped when he realized who they were sitting above. “Look! It’s him…” Sentaro’s voice turned into a moan as he stared at the person he was referring to.
Vegeta and Noaru looked down and saw it was Dorian, with a couple of his friends, Sentaro’s irresistible stud. Dorian is an exchange student that came all the way from a little town in France, but no one can pronounce it. He had a dreamy accent and sometimes spoke his native tongue when he didn’t know the equivalent of a word. He had short, blonde hair and a muscular, tall build. His facial features were soft and kind looking and his eyes were a brilliant green. Vegeta had to admit, he was pretty sexy, but he has his eyes on someone else that’s ‘tall, dark, and handsome.’
“Dorian is your man? I don’t see why you waste your time thinking about him, he’s taken.” Vegeta stated.
Noaru decided to go against Vegeta on this one. “I think he’s a good catch, Sentaro. He is quite handsome.”
Sentaro ignored Vegeta and turned to Noaru. “Thank you and no he’s not taken. He just broke up with that slut.” He went back to admiring his own crush.
“Sentaro, you think every girl you come across is a slut. Except for Noaru’s sister, she really is a slut.” Vegeta stated.
Noaru didn’t bother defending his sister. He knows. He sat back as Sentaro continued watching his crush. “You two should really step out of the dark and step up to the one you have feelings for. If not, then someone else is going to come along and claim them before you even get a chance.” Noaru said simply.
Vegeta and Sentaro looked at each other with worried looks then looked away with frowns. “We’re working on it.” Sentaro defended both himself and Vegeta. “It’s just…what if they aren’t into men? What if they get disgusted and insult us or worse?” Sentaro’s expression turned sad. “I just don’t think I could put up with a rejection like that.” He sighed.
Vegeta looked at him for a moment, then the lights dimmed down and the movie started. Sentaro sat back, perking up a little more, knowing that he had something to look forward to. Vegeta decided not to get the popcorn, since the lines were long and he didn’t want to wait on getting something where the price was ridiculously high as it was.
After an hour into the movie, Vegeta was glad he didn’t get the popcorn. Sentaro grossed out in some parts, only to laugh at them afterwards. After watching a decent ending, the lights lit up brighter, signaling that the movie was over. “Eh, I think the last one was better.” Sentaro stated as they headed down and out the theater, completely forgetting about his crush. If it were Vegeta’s crush, he would’ve been staring at him the whole time.
“So, now what do you want to do?” Sentaro asked as they walked down the sidewalk, no destination in mind.
“I don’t know, man. There’s nothing to do in this town.” Vegeta answered with a bored tone and noticed it was the middle of the afternoon yet. “Oooo I know. How ‘bout we-”
“I am not watching your lover boy for the rest of the day.” Sentaro cut in.
Vegeta looked down in disappointment. His friend guessing exactly what he was going to suggest. He decided to move onto his friends’ lover boy. “So, have you talked to Dorian at all since he’s been here?”
Sentaro’s gaze became half-lidded as he nodded. “Mhm. He’s my lab partner.” He said dreamily.
Vegeta looked at him in shock. “You lucky bastard. Wish I was that fortunate.”
“I know right? He’s so smart. He does all the work when all I have to do is stare at him.” He sighed at the memory. “Then again, it gets embarrassing when he’s talking to me and I’m not paying attention because I’m always staring at him. So then I stutter like an idiot.” He smacked himself in the forehead.
Vegeta gave his friend an odd look. “So, basically, you don’t talk to him.”
Sentaro glared at Vegeta. “No, I do. I just…panic.” He hung his head. Vegeta chuckled, then Sentaro shot his head back up. “Like you have room to laugh! By the way, that was really nice the other day. ‘Oh, i-it’s okay. N-no harm done.’” He laughed when he did his impression of Vegeta when he ran into Kakarot the other day.
Vegeta growled. “Shut up! At least I pay attention to every word he says!” He playfully shoved his friend.
Sentaro stifled his laughing. “Oh yeah? We’ll see when you ask him to tutor you. He grinned, hoping to put some encouragement in his friend.
Vegeta frowned and looked away from his friend. “I know…”
Sentaro’s grin disappeared and he leaned towards Vegeta. “Hey, you know I didn’t mean anything by it. I’m just trying to get your hopes up. I don’t see why he would say no. He seems like the kind of guy that likes to help people, you know? Maybe if you asked him real sweetly, he’ll have no choice but to say yes.” He fluttered his eyes as his grin came back at the last sentence and so did Vegeta’s.
“Shut up.” He playfully shoved his friend again, except not as hard.
The three friends decided to go back to Vegeta’s place and play some video games, since his dad was harmless when it came to hangovers. When they got there, Vegeta’s father was passed out on the couch and the three quietly sneaked up to Vegeta’s room and played a fighting game until late at night.
“Oh, man. I’m gamed out.” Sentaro leaned back and yawned. “What time is it?”
Vegeta looked at his alarm clock. “Ten o clock. Why, got somewhere you need to be?”
Sentaro nodded. “Yep. Bed.” He stood up and stretched his cramped muscles, then looked at his friend. “Hey, you should really put ice on that before it really starts to hurt.”
Vegeta sighed. “Yeah I know. Now beat it. I’ll see you Monday.” He didn’t look at him as Sentaro stared at him for a minute, then shrugged and said his goodbye and left.
Noaru shut off the game console and looked at his now solemn friend. He got up and sat beside him on his bed. “You want to talk about it?” He asked quietly.
Vegeta looked at his usually quiet friend and noticed he was looking at the bruises. He sighed. “No.”
Noaru shrugged. “Okay.” They sat in silence for a while longer, in case Vegeta decided to spill the beans, but the night grew longer and they both grew tired. “Well, I guess I’ll go home then. See you Monday.” He got up and headed for the door.
“Do you really think this could work out?” Vegeta blurted, turning to face his friend. “With me and Kakarot, I mean.”
Noaru stopped and turned to his friend, a worried expression on his face. “I’m…not really sure, Vegeta. You won’t know unless you ask. I don’t know what else to tell you. If he turns you down, Sentaro and I will be there for you.” He came over and took his seat back next to Vegeta and rested an arm on his. “You just have to give it time. First, ask for his help, then the more you hang out with him, the more your relationship will grow.” A warm smile replaced his worried features as he put hope in Vegeta’s heart.
Vegeta’s face was graced with a small smile at the comfort of his friend’s words. “You’re right.” He closed his eyes and chuckled lightly at the ridiculousness of the situation. He opened them and rested a hand on Noaru’s. “When are you going to find someone?” He asked softly.
Noaru smiled sadly. “Don’t worry about me. The time will come when I find a special someone. Right now, I feel more comfortable just being around my friends.” Vegeta nodded, but stayed silent. “Well, we should probably go to sleep now.” He stood. “Don’t forget the ice.” He gently placed his hand on the side of Vegeta’s face and rubbed it slightly, then pulled away.
“I won’t.” He answered quietly.
Noaru smiled sadly again. “Goodnight.” He left once Vegeta returned the goodbye.
After several minutes, Vegeta sighed and got up to go get the ice. Once downstairs, he looked around for his father and realized that he was probably at work. ‘I hope he doesn’t get carried away again.’ He went to the freezer and pulled out an ice pack. While he was at it, he grabbed some snacks from the fridge…for his dinner. He then went to a drawer and pulled out a towel to wrap around the pack and took off his sunglasses and placed it on his eye. He flinched at the cool feeling on his bruised skin, but kept it there. He went back to his room and sat by his window to check on the gorgeous teen across the street while he munched.
Kakarot’s light was on in his bedroom and noticed he was in his bed, reading. Vegeta could hear a light noise coming from that room and realized he must have music on. His good eye became half-lidded as he watched the God of his world lay in a relaxing position. ‘I would give anything to be there with him.’ After thirty minutes of ‘Kakarot watching,’ the beautiful teen turned out his light and decided to hit the hay. Vegeta sighed in disappointment and decided to do the same. ‘I would be ecstatic if you showed up on Monday Kakarot.’ He thought with a smile. ‘Though, it’s a shame I won’t be able to rummage through your house while you’re absent. Who knows what other little oddities you have?’

I know, I know, the movie I chose is kinda old, but at least it was a werewolf movie, hehe. Oh and, sorry if the injuries aren’t realistic. >.> I’ve never been punched in the face…yet. The AFF system includes a rigorous and complex abuse control system in order to prevent improper use of the AFF service, and we hope that its deployment indicates a good-faith effort to eliminate any illegal material on the site in a fair and unbiased manner. This abuse control system is run in accordance with the strict guidelines specified above.
