Dreams and Memories
Now for another chapter enjoy.
Chapter 4
Rai’s Dream
“Where am I” Rai asked himself, he seemed to be in a dark room. “HELLO ANYONE THEIR” he yelled out hoping someone was around. “What is this place” he wanted to know answers but it didn’t seem like he was going to get any. Then he saw a light from a distance the light was getting brighter and bigger. Then swoosh the light passed Rai the light was so bright that he had to cover his eyes. He then started to hear clapping he opened his eyes and he saw himself on stage in front of a live audience.
“What the hell” he was shocked to see were he was “Rai Rai” he heard someone calling him from the side of the stage. He turned his head and saw that it was Kite “what are you doing the plays already starting” Kite told him. “Uh uh” Rai was so lost “my lord where have you been” someone came up to him. He turned and saw that it was Mark the boy who was Kai’s partner. Rai was stiff “your line Rai say your line” he heard Mark whisper to him. “I don’t know my lines” he said back.
Then their was laughing the whole audience was laughing and then all the college students and teachers where laughing. “Stop laughing, stop laughing, STOP LAUGHING” he yelled out and fell to his knees. “Stop, stop, STOOPPPP”.
End of dream
“Rai wake up Rai” Kai was shaking his shoulders knowing that Rai was having a nightmare. “Ahh” Rai woke up he had sweat coming down the side of his face, he looked up and saw Kai next to him. “Man that must have been a freaky nightmare” Kai said letting go of Rai’s shoulders. “I I dreamt that I was in a play everyone from class was their and their was a huge audience, I didn’t know my lines and then everyone started laughing at me” Rai said.
He looked at Kai and saw a puzzled look on his face “what” Rai asked “that was your nightmare” Kai said. “Yeah” the raven hair replied “you have got to be kidding me you made all that commotion over nothing” Kai sat up and walked back over to his bed. “Hey being laughed at in front of an entire audience is a nightmare you know” Rai said. “Not for me” Kai replied “what” Rai was confused. “I will never be laughed at when I am on stage” Kai then hopped into bed. The time was 8:45pm when Rai looked at the clock and then he looked back at Kai.
“Are you mocking me” Rai asked with an angry tone in his voice, “shut up and go to sleep you stupid idiot” Kai replied. “Hey, I said hey” he realised Kai was ignoring him “sigh man” Rai got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. He hadn’t realised how long he had been asleep for so he hadn’t brushed his teeth yet. He walked into the bathroom and shut the door, he decided to take a shower. He turned the water on and made sure it was not to hot and not to cold. He then took his top of and noticed the scar he had on his chest. He rubbed his hand along it remembering how he had got it.
Flashback
Two years ago
“So what would you like to get Mariah” Rai asked her “um one of those big long red liquorice” she told Rai. “Alright” he replied, they both when to a really great candy store in China Town which sold the best sweets ever. Ray was just about to buy the candy when some guy came in holding a gun. “Alright everyone on the floor” he yelled out, Rai and Mariah laid on the floor. ‘Who would want to rob a candy store’ Rai thought to himself ‘probably thinking robbing a candy store would be easier to rob’ he then thought.
“Hurry up put the money in the bag” the robber told the cashier, who was extremely frightened having a gun being pointed to her head. ‘I’ve got to do something’ Rai thought to himself, he looked up and saw that the robber’s back was facing him. ‘It’s either now or never’ he quickly stood up and grabbed the man. “What the” the robber was surprised a bit but was able to knock Rai of by elbowing him in the jaw.
Rai fell to the floor “why you stupid brat” and the robber pointed the gun at him. “RAI” Mariah yelled “NO MARIAH STAY DOWN” he yelled at her. Then BANG before Rai even realised it their was blood dripping on the floor. He looked up “Mariah” it was her blood dripping on the floor. “R R Rai” she then fell to the floor “MARIAH” Rai yelled from the top of his lungs holding the lifeless body in his arms.
“You, You, YOU BASTARD” Rai charged towards the robber but there was another bang. Rai had been shot “Ma….ri….ah” he then fell to the floor and darkness took over.
End of Flashback
Rai was leaning against the wall in the shower ‘if I had just stayed on the floor you would still be alive’. Rai soon finished and hopped out of the shower and dried himself of. It taken him quite a while to forget that terrible incident. Even though he saw the scar where he was operated on to get the bullet out. He would try and block out the images from two years ago, even though he seemed alright around people. He would still carry the scar from that fateful day for the rest of his life.
He wrapped the towel around his waist and walked out of the bathroom to his wardrobe to get his pyjamas. It was a good thing Kai was a sleep and facing the other way why Rai got dressed. Had had brushed his teeth and slipped into bed. Soon sleep overtook him once again and this time he hoped to have pleasant dreams.
