“Have you seen this dear?” Bunny walked out to Bulma who was in the garden.
She lay on a wooden recliner chair absorbing the last of the summer sunshine beside their outside pool that revealed itself beneath the ground. She dropped her head to the left and squinted over to her mother as the sun blinded her;
“What is it?” she breathed.
Bunny now stood beside her and held something in her hand, Bulma lazily lifted herself up and rested on her elbow as she lay across the chair glancing up to her mother.
“It’s front page news,” Bunny’s tone was worrying.
She unfolded the newspaper and held it up for Bulma to read:
'MONSTER LIVING AT CAPSULE CORP?’
Bulma sighed heavily and rolled her eyes, “I really should have expected this!”
She decided to sit up straight and removed the paper from her mother’s grasp to read more;
‘According to sources the Briefs family hosted a party last Friday, to which many of our world’s leading Professors thought they would be attending for a good night.
Approximately just after midnight that night, the heiress to Capsule Corp Miss Bulma Briefs got into an altercation with the genius behind Quantum Computing at MK International, Takeda Hasashi. Miss Jade Kang (also an employee of MK International) says; “At that point a bright light blinded all of us and all we could hear was an almighty crash. Once we could see again, we noticed poor Takeda several metres from where he previously stood! He had clearly been punched in the face and he was covered with his own blood. I looked back over to see Bulma Briefs and there was a man beside her who was floating in the air! It was obvious to everyone he was responsible for Takeda’s injuries and we all began panicking trying to get out of there as quickly as possible,”. Mr Hasashi is now currently being hospitalised. Others have reported feeling “incredibly terrified” of this monster that hovered mid-air.
Witnesses have given a description of the man who apparently looks like a typical human male (see picture below) – however possesses an unhuman ability. Other respected guests of the party have mentioned that Miss Bulma Briefs was acting erratic all night as though nervous about something and people heard her talking about a “murderer” who “plans on killing”.
Do we believe that they are harbouring a super human killer? Not for certain but we do know that Capsule Corp have a lot of explaining to do. They are infamous for their crazy experimentations and who knows… maybe they are experimenting on people now,’
Bulma raised an eyebrow as she tossed the paper down on the floor.
“I should have known better than to think nothing would have come of that night,” she sighed.
Bunny smiled to her daughter, “Well, I suppose it could have been much worse,”
Her attempt to see the good in this situation caused Bulma to brush it off her shoulder.
“You’re right, Vegeta could have actually killed that guy,” she chuckled.
“Speaking of which…” Bunny began scanning her surroundings as though searching for someone, “Your father mentioned that he might build Vegeta a training room in our home,”
“Oh?” Bulma glanced up to her mother, “What gave him that idea?”
“I didn’t ask dear,” she turned on her heels and began heading inside, “He did say he would speak with you first, he must still be in the lab,”
Bulma – left somewhat perplexed – thought back to the event that occurred only a matter of days ago. Capsule Corporation has always been considered the outcast of the science world – they are quirky but genius at the same time. They are loved by most but scrutinised by many however they always manage to shake it off.
The blue eyed babe lay back down on the white cushion that spread the length of the recliner, despite her father wishing to speak with her. Her ivory skin was merely covered in her sailor-style bikini. The top was primarily a navy blue alter neck and the cups featured white stripes, finishing with a small anchor charm in the middle of her breasts. Her bottoms shared the same shade as her top and modestly covered her, it too had an anchor charm in the middle of the waist band and featured a few white strips either side of her hips. Her ocean waves had been pinned up into a neat donut bun and she had placed a pair of purple glasses on her head acting as a headband.
Her solitary enjoyment was short lived as mumbling could be heard creeping closer. She glanced over to see her father and Vegeta walking over to the pod.
“Ah there you are dear!” her father waved to her then signalled that she join them.
Remembering that she was vaguely covered, Bulma sheepishly rose from her recliner and walked around their outdoor pool that she had been sat beside to join them.
‘Why am I feeling so self-conscious?’ she wondered as she continued the block the view of her body by awkwardly clasping her hands together causing her arms to overlap her upper half.
Her eyes made contact with the answer. He stood strong in a pair of loosely fitted black joggers and a tight white tank top scowling her way. Each time she saw him, she would succumb further to her lust for him. Vegeta snapped his eyes away from her and on to Dr Briefs. As she neared him the butterflies turned into something more since she started appreciating all of the simple things about him. The way his chest would rise and lower slightly with each breath he took, the way his hardened face would break from time to time during their conversations and the amount of horrible experiences he’s survived narrated by all of his scars… She couldn’t deny she wanted him but was it a long term thing? Only time would tell.
Before Dr Briefs began rambling, Bulma felt the heat of Vegeta’s body as she stopped beside him. The sensation caused her lower half to react with wetness but she tried to ignore her urges. She watched him and at the moment her body truly desired him he instantly narrowed his eyes and snapped them on to her to which she quickly averted her eyes.
‘What was that all about?’
“I was just telling Vegeta here how beneficial a gravity chamber would be in the house…” Dr Briefs distracted Bulma’s thoughts, “We would need to disassemble the current gravity pod and use the gravity controls within it, to put within the constructs of the room,” he explained.
“I don’t see why the pod would need to be taken down,” Vegeta scoffed, “Don’t you have other pods similar to mine?”
“Not exactly, your pod has been the only one we configured to reach four hundred times Earth’s gravity… it would make the job easier for me to just build on top of that,” he continued explaining, “And since you’ve been here for a number of months it seems you’re comfortable here…” Vegeta grunted at the idea, “So why not move you in?”
“It would help to give you the privacy you want,” Bulma added, “With these news reports there’ll soon be helicopters hovering all over you,”
Vegeta glanced at her and narrowed his eyes questioningly, “News report?”
Bulma attempted to hold eye contact with him but failed, “After the party people are accusing us of experimenting on you,”
Vegeta responded with a animalistic grunt and averted his gaze to Dr Briefs, “So be it,” he sighed, “How long will this take?”
Dr Briefs raised his hand to his chin in thought, “Ahh, let’s see… we would need to disassemble the pod, create room for the gravity chamber then build it…” he spoke as thought thinking aloud, “I’d say… two months,”
Vegeta growled instantly with disapproval, “I can’t be out of training for that long!”
“Vegeta there’s no need to throw a strop!” Bulma rolled her eyes at his ungrateful attitude, “I’m sure I’d be able to think of a way to give you the training you’d need for the meantime,”
Dr Briefs tilted his head gesturing to Vegeta that it would work out for the best, “So what do you say?”
Vegeta’s nostrils flared as he snapped his head away from them, “Fine,” he barked with folded arms.
“Excellent, I’ll get started right away!” Dr Briefs swung around causing his lab coat to flare and revealing Scratch clinging to his back as he headed inside.
Bulma remained with Vegeta in the centre of the garden.
“You know it wouldn’t kill you to say ‘thank you’ once in a while,” she spat as she watched the mad Saiyan turn his scowl on her once more.
His face twitched with annoyance.
“And what was that dirty look all about?” she moaned.
His eyes instantly widened and his mouth dropped open, “What are rambling about woman?”
“That look you gave me when I came over here! If you have some sort of problem Vegeta the least you could do is explain what exactly the problem is,” she huffed as she folded her petit arms and flicked her head away from him with closed eyes.
He narrowed his face and lowered his head, “That wasn’t a dirty look!” he groaned as though seeming insulted.
Bulma tossed her head up and opened her eyes whilst she lowered her guard.
“There was a change in your scent,” he muttered.
She pivoted her head to face him with a surprised expression.
“I, have… a scent?” she questioned awkwardly never expecting to ask such a thing.
“You all do,” he hissed with a growl, “However yours is more potent,”
She lowered her gaze to the ground “Oh,” she breathed almost embarrassed, “So… what?” she asked confused, “When did it change?”
Vegeta’s onyx eyes harshly darted to hers signalling his annoyance with her trivial questioning but he knew how persistent she could be;
“I don’t know,” his voice was low as he was only answering to shut her up, “Just as you approached,”
To Bulma’s horror it hit her exactly why her aura had changed;
‘He can smell when I’m turned on?’ she questioned to herself.
Her eyes were wide with mortification and her mouth struggled to find anything to say. Vegeta narrowed his face as she stared at him.
“What are you looking at?” he growled almost as if it were a threat.
Trying not to run and hide she managed to spill out, “N – nothing,”
She blinked frantically attempting to collect her thought together and gulped down hard as her mouth became dry.
“Argh, I don’t have time for this,” Vegeta spat as he began walking off further up the garden towards his pod.
Bulma couldn’t help but watch him walk away, her gaze focused on the way he moved as he placed his hands in the pockets of his jogging bottoms and stalked towards the pod.
‘How embarrassing!’ she cried inside, ‘I’ve really got to keep my body under control from now on,’
She pivoted around and lifted her eyes to the pool, as a way of washing of her shame she decided to take a dip. She headed inside for a moment so she could fetch a towel and ensured that all of her stray hairs that feel at the nape of her neck, were pinned up so the chemicals from the pool wouldn’t dry them out.
On her way back outside she noticed her father had joined Vegeta one again and were over by his pod. She narrowed her eyes as watched them from afar and it appeared that they were discussing something as little action was being made to the pod itself.
Bulma unravelled her white cotton towel onto the recliner she had been using before sliding into the pool. Firstly, she dipped her toes in to check the temperature, the cooling sensation of the water comforted Bulma as the sun continued to blaze down over West City. She unleashed a euphoric sigh with her eyelids closed as her body lowered into the recently cleaned water.
‘With the threat of these androids who knows how long I have left to enjoy life… But it’s the little things,’ she smiled.
On that thought she opened her eyes and snuck another peak of the Prince of all Saiyan’s;
‘Well if I think about it like that then, I should really make the most of things,’
The idea of having Vegeta for just one night sent a shiver down Bulma’s tender spine, she grinned to herself until the Saiyan caught her staring. She promptly snapped her head away from him and sank lower into the water, causing the side of the pool to hide her from his line of direction.
‘It’s like he knows I’m already watching him… or is he trying to watch me?’
All the billionaire hotty wanted to do was relax and so she spread her arms out sideways and held onto the pool railing and he back rested on. Using the little upper body strength she possessed, she gently pushed her waist and legs up to the top of the water and began treading the water lightly as if riding an invisible bicycle. Attempted to get as little hair wet as possible, she cautiously lowered her head back to rest against the floor beside the pool.
She meditated for a long while as the water protected her delicate skin from the sunrays. Bulma did her best to block out any distracting thoughts such as; Vegeta, the news report of the party and even the threat of the androids.
‘I’ve been so lucky,’ she gleamed with joy, ‘My sixteen year old self could never have expected to meet these great people. Goku… a man who will consider me a friend until his grave. Krillin… a man who knows his boundaries yet crosses them for the people he loves. Yamcha… a man who allowed me to feel honest love. Tien… a man of distance and humility. Piccolo… a man who proved just how drastically you can change if your heart is in the right place. And now Vegeta… a man of great strength and pride. None of them know just how much they’ve affected me but, all of them have taught me so much,’ she opened her eyes to the clear skies above her and thanked the Gods, ‘I’m so grateful for having them in my life,’ her gaze lowered over to Vegeta, ‘No matter how short our time together might be,’
At that point she noticed her father switch the pod back into its capsule and both him and Vegeta began trotting her way. Her father held up the capsule in his hand;
“I’ll be dismantling it in the lab,” he called over to her, “While I do that could you do me a favour?”
They neared closer to Bulma, so she turned around and lifted herself onto the warm tiles of the floor beside the pool where she rested her folded arms and waited for them. The footsteps crept closer and Dr Briefs continued;
“Since I’ll be doing this would you mind testing out various mixtures to recreate Vegeta’s armour?” he now stood in front of his daughter with Vegeta glaring from behind him, “I have already created a list of possibilities so there shouldn’t be much for you to do,”
Bulma raised her arm above her brow bone in an attempt to block out the sun as she glanced up to him, “Sounds easy enough,” she smiled.
She noticed Vegeta glancing down on the floor behind Dr Briefs… he seemed distracted by something.
“Oh and don’t forget,” Dr Briefs rolled his eyes from Bulma to Vegeta, “You promised to help him with his training while he’s out of the pod. So you can get started with that too if you’d like,” he chuckled, “I won’t be in your way since I’ll mess around with this in the engineering lab,” he waved around the capsule.
“Oh right,” Bulma breathed, “Sure I can do that, I’ll get started tonight” she grinned.
Dr Briefs rose on his tiptoes, “Brilliant!” he began heading inside, “I’ll stop by tonight to check on how you’re doing,”
“Okay thanks dad!” she tossed her hand up as if giving a subtle wave.
Bulma turned her eyes back to Vegeta who remained stood before her, with her father out of the way she could see he was studying the newspaper.
“Is this the report you were speaking of?” His voice carried a humoured undertone.
Her eyes flicked down to the paper, “Yeah…”
Vegeta bent over with his hands still placed in his pockets as he squinted at the article, “Is this supposed to be me?” the humorous shade in his voice now much more established.
He pointed down to the sketched image underneath the report that had been drawn after witnesses gave the artist a description of him. It was poorly drawn; this version of Vegeta had rather large eyes and ears like a typical alien and his hair was drawn up similar to his actual hair however appeared very messy. He couldn’t prevent the grin from materialising on his face.
“Apparently so,” Bulma giggled as she rolled her eyes.
Vegeta stood upright with his eyes fixed on the image and continued smirking, “I’m officially offended,” his voice much less serious than usual.
Bulma laughed softly and stared up at Vegeta in wonderment, ‘Vegeta making a joke… I never thought I’d see the day!’
He glanced down to her in the corner of his eyes and focused on her beautiful blue irises as the grin filtered off his face. To Bulma’s surprise his features didn’t mould into a scowl as they normally would, this time he looked at her with warmth in his eyes. His expression was blank but his eyelids had lowered when he looked her way. She flicked her gaze to the ground in astonishment but hid this feeling from her face. Lifting her eyes to meet his once again she flashed him a smile;
“I’ll let you know when we can start your training,” her tone was gentle and her face filled with innocence when she’d peer at the Distant Being that was Vegeta.
For a reason unbeknownst to Bulma, Vegeta paused for a moment watching her before responding;
His voice was soft and quiet “Very well,” he lifted his eyes forward whilst inhaling a deep breath and proceeded to the door.
Her eyes followed the trail of Vegeta and she wondered why he was acting so odd;
‘Well that was weird. What was he thinking? It’s unlike him to hold eye contact for so long but he wasn’t even moody, he seemed so… passive,’
She shook those thoughts from her head and wondered what to do with the rest of her day. Pulling herself up onto the floor she leaned forward simultaneously reaching for her cell phone cautiously so as not to get it soaked with water. She pressed down one button causing the phone to react and reveal the time of day, it was almost 5:30pm and the sun would be setting around 7.
“Yo!” a voice called down to Bulma.
Her head shot from side to side frantically to see who it was.
“Up here!” another voice shouted.
Bulma glanced up to the sky and saw that Yamcha and Krillin were levitating down to her. She greeted them with a wave.
“Hey!” she smiled with glee, “Well this is unexpected,”
She continued lifting herself out of the pool and sat on the side with her feet dipped in the water. They landed either side of her and Yamcha proceeded to remove his boots, he rolled up his orange trousers and sat beside Bulma with his feet in the pool. Krillin decided otherwise and sat on the edge of Bulma’s recliner just behind them.
“Yeah well… we saw a report on TV about the party you hosted and we were worried about you,” Yamcha explained.
“Oh that!” Bulma rolled her eyes.
“We did warn you,” his tone was smug.
“Warned me about what?” Bulma flicked her eyes on Yamcha in confusion.
“Vegeta,” Krillin added, “He flipped out, right?”
Bulma tossed her head back to Krillin, “Well yeah but he was protecting me,” she wailed.
Roshi’s students paused looking somewhat bewildered. Yamcha caught Bulma’s attention by placing his warm hand on her shoulder to which she turned back to him.
“Protecting you from… what?” his face hardened as the idea of Bulma being hurt didn’t sit well with him.
Bulma flashed him a comforting smile, “I’m fine now…” she looked forward and watched the rays of the sun twinkle in the water, “Let’s just say a fool was going to hit me,”
Krillin instantly joined them by sitting down on the floor between them with his legs crossed.
“What? What happened?” he questioned.
Bulma sighed heavily before continuing, “Well… he was hitting on me at first but when I displayed no interest in him he suddenly turned into this awful guy and spoke to me with disrespect. Something I wasn’t willing to put up with after you guys left me,” she said that as if they had abandoned her, “And I planned to slap him but… He grabbed my arm and scrunched his fist up like he was going to strike me,”
“What a jerk!” Yamcha breathed as he watched Bulma with a concerned expression.
“Yeah…” Bulma laughed slightly, “Well I closed my eyes thinking he was going to hit me and then out of nowhere Vegeta put that guy on his ass!” she chuckled harder.
Krillin began rubbing his temples with a narrowed face, “Wait?” he laughed softly, “Vegeta actually… helped you?”
Bulma tossed around to him with her arms out and her hands spread, “I know!” she raised her voice slightly; “I was just as surprised as you guys!”
There was a moment of silence as Yamcha and Krillin struggled to digest the facts.
“The way it’s been reported… They’re making it out like it was an unprovoked attack!” Yamcha seemed to become annoyed, “That’s just no right Bulma you gotta tell them what happened!”
“Oh no!” she refused, “It’s best to just let the world forget about it. I don’t want to draw attention to us,”
Yamcha thought about that for a moment and sighed in defeat.
“I still can’t believe Vegeta participated in a selfless act!” Krillin chuckled.
Bulma smiled to the pool and let out a light laugh, “It really has surprised you huh?”
“I can’t believe you’re still not as surprised! This is Vegeta we’re talking about! The guys a –“
“I suggest you don’t finish that sentence,” a growling voice warned.
All three of them snapped their heads back, Yamcha and Krillin seeming obviously terrified however Bulma looked up to him with worry. Vegeta’s stare was locked onto Krillin.
“I…” Krillin raised his hands apologetically, “I’m sorry Vegeta… It’s just unexpected of you,”
Vegeta’s face hardened as if to suggest he wasn’t entirely sure what he was referring to.
“Thank you for helping her,” Yamcha spoke respectfully, “It seems you’re not all that bad,”
Vegeta grinned at how difficult it was for Yamcha to make such an admission, “How kind of you,” sarcasm dripped from every word.
He dropped his scowl and switched his eyes on Bulma, she flinched slightly not expecting it.
“Soo…” Krillin attempted to break the awkward silence, “What brings you out here Vegeta?”
He glanced down to Krillin and raised the corner of his mouth, “Boredom… I suppose,” he muttered quietly.
“Wow,” Bulma chuckled, “I thought you said you don’t have friends Vegeta,” she lowered her lashes suggestively and grinned to which Yamcha tensed up somewhat.
Vegeta blushed and bared his gritted teeth as he struggled to find a witty response, “I – don’t…” he composed himself and aggressively folded his arms, “I need entertaining and watching you weaklings fret around me will do for now,”
Bulma dropped her playful grin and flinched as Yamcha shot up.
“Just when I thought you could be a decent guy you turn it around and prove you’re nothing more than a manipulative jack ass!”
The blue eyed female tensed up with fear as Yamcha hurled insults to Vegeta.
“Manipulative?” Vegeta cocked his head to the side in confusion, “I don’t play games, boy,” he stated matter-of-factually.
Yamcha wafted his hands around, “You just said you want to see us prance around you in fear of you! That sure sounds like manipulation to me!”
Panic arose in Krillin and he too stood and addressed Yamcha;
“Come on Yamcha, calm down,” he pleaded calmly.
“I suggest you listen to him,” Vegeta warned.
Yamcha clenched his fists beside his waist as he lifted them in preparation for battle. Vegeta sensed Yamcha’s Ki rise a fraction;
“Don’t be foolish,” Vegeta growled, “You don’t stand a chance,”
Vegeta raised his hand to Yamcha’s face;
“No!” Bulma jumped up expecting Vegeta to strike him with an energy blast.
Before she fully stood straight Yamcha’s body passed her and dashed into the pool. Bulma stared down to him in shock and flipped around to scowl at Vegeta. His arm remained raised as he pointed with one finger indicating he flicked Yamcha back. She back handed Vegeta’s arm causing it to drop to the side slightly, Vegeta switched his glare on Bulma with his eyebrows raised as his jaw dropped with surprise.
“How dare you!” she leaned into the startled Prince, “For God sake Vegeta what are you trying to prove?”
He continued to look at her, astonished that she would address him so strongly. Yamcha could be heard splashing his way out of the pool.
“I have to accept the fact that you guys won’t get along but do you have to make it harder for me?” Bulma lowered her voice as she spoke to Vegeta with sincerity.
Vegeta glanced to Yamcha in the background and saw that he began squeezing as much water from his clothes as possible. His gaze snuck back onto Bulma who anticipated his reply. He narrowed his eyes and raised the corner of his mouth as he menacingly turned his back on her and began walking inside.
“Bulma,” Yamcha’s gentle voice called to her, “Forget about him,”
“But he just needs a –“
“A what, Bulma?” Yamcha snapped, “A friend?” he began laughing with sarcasm, “You’ve given that guy enough chances… when will you face the fact that he will never change?”
Krillin raised his hands up to Yamcha, “Hey dude calm down,”
“No!” Yamcha flicked his head in Krillin’s direction – who stood before Bulma’s chair, “I don’t get it! She was going to hit a guy who spoke to her disrespectfully yet Vegeta can just walk all over her –“
“Wait a second!” Bulma flipped around to face Yamcha, “He does not walk all over me…”
Krillin lowered his arms in defeat and sighed heavily.
“I understand him better than you guys do. All you see is this moody guy throwing a strop whenever he’s insulted but I see beyond that!”
“Then enlighten me Bulma,” Yamcha demanded as water flew from his clothes with every movement he made.
“I can’t explain it properly…” she lowered her voice and spoke sincerely as her mind wondered about Vegeta, “It’s like his younger self is trapped inside him; all of the emotions he could never understand at such a young age, all of the experiences he had no choice but to deal with… losing his Father, his Planet… everything he knows, only to then be enslaved by a monster and being forced live a life he never wanted to –“
“Wow okay Bulma,” Yamcha drippled quickly, “What is this, are you writing his biography?”
Rage engulfed her and she barked at him some more, “No you insensitive jerk! You asked so I answered! What the hell is your problem?”
Yamcha clenched his body attempting to repress whatever it was he was thinking… however he failed and burst out, “YOU’RE LYING TO ME THAT’S WHAT!”
Her eyes were wide with confusion but her eyebrows still narrowed with anger, “What are you on about?” she spat less aggressively.
Yamcha dropped his gaze to the floor and inhaled a deep breath as he turned away from her.
“You like him don’t you Bulma?” Krillin added gently keeping his eyes fixed on the ground.
She glanced to Krillin who refused to make eye contact, “What, I… “ she sighed, struggling to find the right words, “Why does it always come back to this?” she turned her gaze on Yamcha who remained with his back to her, “Why must I like him in order to feel sympathy for him?”
“You don’t,” Krillin spoke softly, “But I’ve seen the way you look at him…”
“Yeah so have I,” Yamcha scoffed.
Bulma remained confused, “And?”
Krillin sighed lightly and glanced up to Bulma, “You’re in denial Bulma,”
Bulma flinched with offence and stamped her foot on the ground, “I am not!” she protested.
Krillin pursed his lips unsure whether to continue, “… Look, I’m not judging you. You can’t help who you fall for. I just don’t want you to get hurt,”
Bulma folded her arms and inhaled a deep breath as a way of calming herself, “After he protected me on the night of the party… you still doubt him?” she scrunched up her face as she lectured Krillin, “You honestly believe he would hurt me? Because I sure don’t,”
“Because you’re a fool,” Yamcha seemed to have calmed down too and turned to plead with her.
“Funny…” she added, “Vegeta said the same,”
“Vegeta knows?” Krillin asked in disbelief.
Bulma stuttered, “Uh, no! There’s nothing to know!”
She averted her eyes onto Yamcha who glared at her seeming distraught.
“Bulma…” he faintly breathed, “I love you,” he added platonically, “But if you’re gonna keep lying to me then I don’t really want to be around you,” he turned his head to Krillin, “Let’s go,”
The pair began floating in an attempt to fly away.
“Wait!” Bulma cried, “Okay!”
They paused and watched Bulma warily.
“Lately, I’ve…” they waited as she admitted the truth, “… Been feeling drawn to him…” she sheepishly peered up to Yamcha.
His expression indicated his emotional pain, “Drawn to him?” he paused, “Bulma what are you saying?”
She glared at the ground with shame, “I… I like him,” finding the strength she needed, she lifted her head up to them, “But so what? It’s just a crush!”
“Bulma just promise me this…” Yamcha begged, “Don’t pursue this,”
She sighed reluctantly, “I… can’t make a promise like that! Anyway do you believe he would be remotely interested?”
“The idea of him with you makes me sick. I don’t really want to think of him and you together…” he glanced down to the side, “But you’re right, I can’t ask that of you,”
He shot off leaving Bulma standing confused and upset.
Krillin attempted to reassure her before leaving, “I think he needs some time to get over this. He’s worried you might try something and piss off Vegeta,”
Tears began filling Bulma’s lower lash line.
“Just stay safe,” he waved then darted up following Yamcha’s Ki.
Bulma couldn’t prevent the tears from rolling down her smooth cheeks;
‘I hide it from him and he’s angry with me… I tell him and he’s still mad at me,’ she began snivelling as her emotions got the better of her, ‘I never had a chance to win with him did I? Krillin tells me he’s worried for my safety… how many times do I need to reassure them that Vegeta will never hurt me. I know he won’t! Sure he’s killed innocent people before but if he didn’t he would’ve been killed himself. But now it’s different… isn’t it?’
Drying her tears with her hand, she used the other to lift up her towel and she wrapped it around her body. She picked up her phone and the newspaper which she tucked under her feeble arm and searched under the wooden chair looking for something. Eventually she found what she was looking for; it was small remote with various buttons. She pressed in a large circle button labelled ‘Close’ and the tiled floor began sliding over the pool.
Leaving the recliner outside, Bulma headed in and proceeded to her room where she dried herself off and changed clothes. She flung off her bikini and replaced it with a plain black shirt that stretched across her body and a pair of blue high waist jeans, finishing with her red, woollen fluffy slippers.
She left her room and instantly heard the rumbling of her stomach;
‘I think I’ll have some dinner before going to the lab,’
A/N: Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed this chapter. This is my interpretation of the argument Future Trunks talks about when he explains to Goku that Bulma & Veggie are his parents - even though I guess that its classed as an alternative timeline now. Regardless I feel like Bulma and Yamcha need a reason to be apart so this works for me XD again excuse any grammer mistakes! I check it over and over again but sometimes they just slip through. Feel free to let me know what you think, I appreciate constructive criticism :)
