Chapter 6: Weathering the Storm

            Goku came home from his vacation with Vegeta to find his house in shambles. The walls
had holes in them, the furniture was totaled, and worst of all: The fridge was empty! Goku didn’t
know how to go about fixing the mess, ever since Chi-Chi left him, he usually kept the house
clean in order to avoid having to clean it later. Goku attempted to clean the house, but was
interrupted when he heard someone in the house crying. He ran through the house and found the
crying coming from Goten’s room. He walked over to his son and asked him, “Goten, what’s
wrong?”

            Goten looked up at his father, his eyes were red and puffy from crying. “Dad.” he said in
a pitiful whisper. “It’s Trunks. Something’s happened to him.” Goten dropped his head as if
registering to see if what he said was true. “He’s become so cold-hearted, he was so unlike
himself yesterday. He told me how he only got into the relationship so he wouldn’t have to see
me cry and he told me he hated me!” Goten began to cry again. Goku laughed. Goten face
changed from depressed, to pure confusion. “Mind if I ask what’s so damn funny?!” he said in a
frustrated voice.

            Goku stopped laughing. “Sorry GoR” he said while trying to hold back a grin. “I was
laughing because Trunks proved that he does love you by saying what was meant to hurt you.”
Goku explained.

            Goten shot him another confused look. “What do you mean?”. he asked.

            “I mean that when he said, ‘I only got into the relationship so I wouldn’t have to see you
cry’, he actually proved that he loved you. Understand now?” Goku looked at his son with a
hopeful smile. Goten smiled back at him and said, “I think I do dad, thanks.” Goten got out of the
bed and went to the bathroom, he bathed and put on his clothes. On his way out he ran past a
mirror and saw himself. He looked at his face it was beautiful, but there was one thing about it
that bothered him, his hair. His hair was like a giant horn sticking out of his head. He decided he
liked it the way it was when he was kid better, like his dad’s. So, he decided to cut it, and in a
few minuets he had his old hairstyle back. After doing his hair Goten flew out the house towards
Capsule Corp.

            Once he got there he was instantly met by Vegeta. “What do you want?” said Vegeta
immediately. Goten simply gave him a like you don’t know look. Vegeta stepped aside and went
into the kitchen. Goten got to Trunks’ room and knocked on the door.

            “Who is it?” asked Trunks.

            “It’s me! Goten.” replied Goten.

            “In that case, don’t come in!” said Trunks in a nasty voice.

            “Why?” asked Goten.

            “Cause I don’t want you here, faggot!” Yelled Trunks.

            That was it. Goten was shaking with anger. How dare Trunks call him a faggot. Goten
knocked down the door, and there was Trunks, with Janet! Trunks had a shocked look on his
face. “Get out!” were Goten’s first words to Janet. She looked at him as if she would do
something. “Maybe you didn’t hear me, I said get out!” With that, Goten punched a hole through
the wall and Janet ran out as fast as she could.

            “What do you think you’re doing?” Trunks asked.

            “Trying to see why you are acting so weird, why Trunks? Why did you act like that last
night?” Goten asked in a confident voice that almost scared Trunks.
