Chapter 7
Lollirot chapter seven:
The prince smirked bitterly as he sat, broken in his mind and heart on an old wooden bench in the park of the asylum behind those big black gates that held him captive. This simple act of sitting by the little pond on this breezy, partly sunny day was all he needed for remembering what had happened.
~~~~ FLASHBACK
The duo of Saiyans marched down the white hallway, their boots hitting the cemented ground harshly. Heads popped out of dorm rooms to see what the noise was. They were ready. Vegeta was ready to do this. The both of them would go back to Freiza and tell him that they didn’t work for him anymore. They would be free at last.
The prince looked ahead and narrowed his eyes as he saw his psychiatrist and about five other doctors standing and waiting for them. He growled lightly and glanced at Raditz who snarled fiercely. Raising his head up in the air and striding with a look of authority, he stopped a few feet away from the doctors.
“Where are you going, Vegeta?”
The prince’s mind stopped short of a second at the question, but was relieved to have Raditz rest a strong hand on his shoulder.
“Don’t listen to them! You know they’re here to stop you.” Raditz growled.
Vegeta glared at the man in white and scoffed. Like they could stop him, anyways. Adjusting the armor under his arm, he barked a laugh.
“You think you can stop us?”
Dr. Moran raised an eyebrow at the countered question.
“Us?”
“Don’t be daft, old man.” Vegeta chuckled evilly and raised a hand and began to gather his energy. He grinned wickedly and prepared to blast all these lesser beings straight to hell when he was tackled to the ground by a powerful unseen force. He blinked and saw orange and blue as he felt the force that tackled him now have a body and was quite heavy.
“Vegeta!” The man held the prince’s arms down to make sure that he wouldn’t begin protesting.
Vegeta’s memory kicked in for a second and he knew exactly who that was. “Kakarot!” He snarled and struggled to push him off.
Kakarot growled and pushed back to pin his shoulders to the ground, accidentally smacking the prince’s head on the cement and cry out. Vegeta lifted his throbbing head to look at the world upside down with panicked eyes. There, he saw Raditz standing near him and he tried to reach him by stretching his pinned arm out to him.
“RAaditz!”
Something inside him broke as he saw the look on the long haired Saiyan’s face: a mixed look of fear and shame. Why? Tears streamed down his cheeks as he reached harder, twisting and bucking his body up against Kakarot to get away.
“No, please! Raditz!”
The oldest Saiyan looked at him with such sadness that it made his heart ache. Vegeta’s breathing quickened as the doctors began to crowd around him, examining him like a dead corps. He could just barely see Raditz now, and he made another attempt to reach him.
“Who do you see, Vegeta? Dr. Moran asked, looking back in the direction that the prince was.
“Raditz, come back! Don’t leave me, damn you!!”
“Vegeta, there’s no one there.” The doctor nodded towards the others to bring the straight jacket into restrain him.
~~~ END FLASHBACK
Tears fell from his eyes as he remembered what had happened. They tell him that he’s been here for almost a year now. The doctors prescribed a medication for him to take, as well. They tell him that he has memory loss and Schizophrenia, and that’s the reason why he was seeing things that weren’t there; hallucinating. But, Raditz was real…
The man Vegeta knew as Kakarot came and sat next to him on the bench, remaining silent. He turned to look at the soft concern face that reminded him so much of Raditz.
“I’m sorry.” Kakarot said sorrowfully, laying a hand on his arm.
“Tell me.” He pleaded, looking into the younger male’s eyes. /Help me./
Kakarot sighed, and started from the beginning of what he knew.
