Chapter 7-The Phone Call to Kai\'s Depression
It was 12 at lunch, and Kenny had to call Kai.
\"Hey, Kenny!\" Tyson said running up to Kenny. \"Where you going?\"
\"I\'m just going to make a phone call reminding her that I\'m going to your house after school.\"
\"Well, hurry up. I\'ll save you a sit!\" Tyson said running off to recess. When Tyson was out of sight, he took out his cell phone, and ran to the nearest empty
room, which was the Spanish room. He dialed the number, 392-8852. It rang. He waited for someone the other line.
\"Hello, this Mr. Kinomiya speaking,\" a voice said on the other line. \"Hi, Mr. Kimiomyia. This is Kenny speaking. May I speak to Kai?\"
/Oh, hi Kenny. Hold on just a second while I\'ll get Kai.\\ He put the phone down to call Kai. Kenny could hear someone yell \'Kai!\' in the background.
/Hello?\\ asked a new voice.
\"Hey Kai.\" Kenny said.
/Oh, hey Kenny! So what did you find out?\\ Kai asked eagerly.
\"Well, you\'re not going to like this..\" Kenny repiled.
/Just tell me. You\'re my friend, tell me the truth.\\ Kai said.
\"Well, okay. It all started like this...\"
After Kenny told the story, he had heard crying through the whole story.
\"And that\'s what happened. Kai, are you okay?\" Kenny asked.
But there was no respond.
\"Kai?\"
There was no respond, just sobbing.
\"Kai?\"
/I\'m alright, Kenny. I just can\'t believe it. He told me he\'d loved me. God, I was so stupid.\\
\"Kai, you\'re not stupid. I think you are the most smartest person I know. You\'re are the most beautiful and most handsome person I know.
Everyone I know would love to be with you or even wish to be you. You shouldn\'t let something like that effect you.\"
/Thanks, Kenny.\\
\"Well, Kai, I have to go since lunch is almost over. I have to see what Tyson and Hilary are doing.\"
/Yeah.\\
\"Just to think you\'ll be able to come our school in a less than a week.\"
They both laughed at this.
/You coming over later today?\\ Kai asked.
\"Yup.\"
/Did I tell you this, but Mr. Kinomiya is my legal guardian now.\\
\"For real?\"
/Yup.\\
\"You are so lucky since all he is going to do is spoil you with all this things.\"
/Thanks.\\
\"Well, see you later, Kai.\"
/See you soon, Kenny.\\
After that they both hung up, with Kenny running outside for lunch. It was 12:40. He only had 20 minutes for lunch.
