Ignition of Bestial Instinctive
Chapter 8: Ignition of Bestial Instinctive
Roy rolled over in bed, with warmth surrounding him. Presently searching for something that wasn’t there, incompletion of the warmth. Groaning, Roy sat up in bed and scratched his head, noticing Edward wasn’t in the room. “Where has he gotten off to now?”
Roy got out of bed and pulled on his boxers and pants then throwing a shirt on, slowly making it down the stairs. He yawned as he reached the living room, both kids sitting there in previous nights’ clothes, smiling at him brightly. He returned the smile and asked kindly “have either of you seen your father?” With a sudden shake of their heads his smile turned into a frown. “Did someone at least feed you?” his reply came with nods. He stepped into the kitchen which sat the younger of the Elrics, who was scanning the paper and reading headlines.
One particular headline caught Roy’s eye, ‘Elric brother spotted in downtown Central.’ He looked back at the counter and poured himself some of the fresh made coffee sitting there and then taking a seat opposite of Alphonse. “Hey Al, have you seen Ed anytime this morning?”
“No sir, the only ones in the house are me, you, the kids, and Winry. No sign of brother at all, why?” Al asked with a sweet tone.
“He’s gone missing, I woke up to an empty right side of the bed,” Roy sighed and yawned once more.
“Did you bother checking the basement for him?” Al responded and felt the table shake a bit as Roy made his way to the lower part of the house.
Roy’s footsteps descended down the flight of stairs as the door shut behind him. Everything to be normal so far, until a faint noise of chalk scraping across blackboard hit his ears. “Ed?” Roy called softly as he reached the last flight of stairs and was answered with more chalk scraping.
His attention was gained toward a short blonde, standing in the way of what looked like alchemy books and arrays. “Ed didn’t you hear me the first time?” Still no answer, either Edward was ignoring him or lost very deep in thought. To this the dark haired man growled deeply, which earned a sigh from the blonde. Roy made his way across the room and put a hand on Edward’s shoulder, this time earning the blonde’s full attention.
