RR: Actually this story would involve both male and female interest; so don't be confused when this shows up.
Kawaii Bean, The Cover-Up.
Ed backed into the bookshelf. the air in his lungs gave out as he fought to control the pain that racked his shoulder. using force he pulled the sharp blade from his bleeding wound and threw it to the ground.
"Nice moves..." a voice said in the shadows, before stepping out to reveal a tall woman in a dark low cut dress. "A move too late and that thing would have been in your head." She moved strands of her raven black hair from her amethyst eyes as she spoke.
"A shame it isn't."
Ed clapped his hands together and his right hand molded into a sharp blade.
"what the hell do you want, you beast?" Ed demanded, adjusting his footing in case she decided to attack.
"We were given a message from someone..."
Ed glared at the freezing bitter look she fixed on him, her growing frown pissing him off more and more.
“does this ‘someone’ want me dead?” Ed asked with malice in his voice, looking quickly at the blood that seeped through his coat sleeve where his shoulder was stabbed.
Lust waved a hand as if to brush off his comment like it were a pestering fly. “No, you young fool. I’m just taking my frustration out on you.” dropping her hand she moved to a chair and sat down in it quite roughly. “The message has to do with you damn State Alchemists.”
Ed was perplexed. One minute ago she looked ready to kill him and suddenly she acts like nothing happened.
That’s aright; sit down buddy, stay awhile tell me your problems.
Not fucking likely… something was amiss here.
“If not to kill me, then why are you here?” Ed persisted. Lust seemed to completely loose the hostility she came in with earlier, her voice ringing with frustration. “Father has been enlisting the help of some strange outside force, he won’t even tell us who it is or what their motives are.”
Lust was being too open about their plans. Just how horrible was this help?
Lust glanced at Ed, her gaze unwavering as she looked at him with-
Is that pity?
“The State Alchemists will be playing a large role in this plan.”
Ed lowered his blade. Why is she doing this? “why tell me about it?” Ed asked, daring a few steps toward the human doll. Lust made no move to stop Ed as he sat in a chair that kiddy cornered the edge of the table near the one she sat in.

Lust sighed, gazing at the wound she’d left on Edward. It was only a few hours ago she had been running her usual routine of playing as a talent scout for potential alchemists when her crazed sociopathic brother Envy showed up saying that Father demanded an audience from the lot of them. During the meeting Lust had learned about the secret plan her creator had hatched, but refused to give details into why or how this process would take place, only that it involved the State Alchemists and…
Offspring.
Lust had no qualms about her role in life, she could take down someone without one hint of regret. Yet after learning about this new development, she couldn’t help but wonder…
Most of the State Alchemists were either well into adulthood or past their prime.
So, where did that leave the only minor involved in it all?
All day afterward she couldn’t shake her thoughts away from it. Edward Elric should be nobody to her. Why did this effect her so strongly?
Now sitting here and playing like they were no more than a pair of friends despite the grievous but necessary wound, she waited patiently while talking about the plan by bits and pieces for the unaware blond to succumb to the effects of the drug she had planted on the tip of the blade before arriving.

“I don’t think your telling me everything, Lust.” Ed persisted, crossing his arms and wincing from the pain in his shoulder. “Your still hiding something, aren’t you?”
Lust sighed, looking off in another direction as if she’d seen something much more interesting in the dark depths of the library. “Whether or not you believe me, that truly is all I know about the plans. If your not satisfied, why don’t you go ask Envy?” She glanced at him with mirth in her features. “He’s been dying to see you for the longest time…”
Ed scoffed about the incident that had taken place three months ago and pressed on for more details.
“So you basically came all this way to tell me of a plan you yourself know next to nothing about other than it involves the State Alchemists?” Ed donned his usual investigator look as he registered the woman- or rather the fake woman. “Somehow to me it sounds like a crock of shi-”
Ed caught his head in his hands as he slumped forward. The room began to look blurry and his head felt too heavy for his neck to support it.
Surrendering to the sudden change of function he collapsed to the table, his fuzzy gaze fixed on Lust, her smile wide and knowing.
“Good night, Fullmetal…” he barely managed to hear her say before shadows consumed his vision.
