Ed lay on the bed, curled into a bed, his lover to his back. The Fullmetal Alchemist breathed gently, deeply, his long blonde hair flowing freely over his back.
His lover woke up, sitting up with a grunt. He rubbed his eyes, looking down at Ed.
After his wife and Elisa had been killed, Ed had helped Hughes more than he knew. Just the loving touches made him feel human again.
He stroked his hands through Edwards blonde hair, feeling the change from warm skin to cold metal on Ed's arm and leg.
“Hmm...wake up sleepy head.”
Ed grunted, waking up with a smile as he looked up at Hughes.
“Good morning, love.”
“Morning, Mae.”
Hughes smiled, getting up and going to make breakfast.
As he walked out of the door, Edward watching, he knew everything would be alright.
He would survive their death, because Ed had immersed himself into his grief, and pulled him out.
