It was a laid back day for the Bladebrakers. They were all sitting in the living room of Tyson’s house taking a long, deserved break. Kai was sitting with Rei on the loveseat. Tyson was sitting with Max and Kenny on the couch opposite of the loveseat. Rei and Kai had been going out for about 5 months. Tyson and Max had been going out for about a year. Kenny joined them about 4 months after they got together and let him know that they really did love them.

They all set quietly enjoying themselves, when the phone rang. Tyson jump up to answer from the hall.

"Hello" Tyson answered.

"Tyson, may I talk to Kai please" Mr. Dickason asked.

"Yes sir, give me a minute I'll go get him" Tyson said. Tyson walked down the hall and looked into the living room.

"Kai it’s for you" and walked over to sit with Max and Kenny.

Kai got up without answering.

"Yes sir" Kai said into the receiver.

"Kai I need you to come to my office as soon as you can" Mr. D answered.

"May I ask why?" Kai said, leaning against the wall.

"I would really like it if I could tell you when you get here" he said. Kai noticed that his voice sound a little withdrawn.

"Mr. D what’s wrong" Kai said getting a little concerned.

"Kai just get down here ok" Mr. D said and hung up the phone.

Kai looked at the phone like it slapped him. 'What the hell was that all about?' Kai thought walking into the living room.

"Umm I have to go to see Mr. D" Kai said as if he was still in thought.

"Kai what’s wrong babe?" Rei asked standing up.

"I don't know, but Mr. D wants to see me and he didn't tell me why" Kai said looking down and still trying to figure out what was up with Mr. D.

"Do you want me to go with you?" Rei asked putting a hand on Kai's shoulder.

"No it will be ok" Kai said looking up, smiling at Rei.

Rei smiled back when he felt Kai put his arms around his waist and give him on a peck on his lips.

"I'll be back in a little bit" Kai said and walked out.

When they heard the door close Tyson looked at Rei and smiled at him.

"What?" Rei asked when he saw Tyson looking at him.

"You’ve done some real good for Kai." Tyson said with a big smile on his face.

"You really think so?" Rei replied looking at the door Kai just walked out of.

"Ummm yeah. I mean look at him, he’s almost like a different person now. He actually smiles, and he is not being a sourpuss, I think it’s great." Tyson answered.

'I guess Tyson has a point, Kai does seem nicer now,' Rei thought, 'much nicer then he was 5 months ago' Rei thought thinking about when they first let each other know about their feelings.

-Flashback-
'Umm Kai can we talk outside for a minute?" Rei asked walking into the living room, where they were all hanging out and relaxing.

"Uh sure" Kai said getting up from his seat and walking outside with Rei behind him.

Everyone was kind of starting to notice that Kai would only answer Rei with words instead of 'hm' or whatever it was that he considered an answer.

"Ok what do you want" Kai said when they got out the door and onto the porch.

Rei looked at him like a deer in headlights. 'Oh God I forgot what I was going to say. Oh man I had it all planed to. Just come out here say 'Kai I love you' and walk away before he can beat me to death.
Gezzzz. Why’s he got to be so damn hot? I mean look him with those beautiful, deadly eyes; that flawless skin; that long smooth neck that leads down to his rock hard chest and abs that go to........ Hold up Rei you came out here for a reason not to stare that this piece of wonder art, oh but he’s just so..... REI look just say it’.

"I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU... HOLY SHIT did I just say that out loud?" Rei said not realizing that he was still talking out loud.

"Yeah you did" Kai said looking at him with a smile.... 'hold up is Kai smiling?’...oh my God he is.' Rei couldn't help but stare.

"Rei are you serious?" Kai asked wiping the smile away and replaced it with a stern face.

"Yeah.....yes." 'I guess it was too good to be true' Rei thought "I'm sorry" he said then turned around to walk away. But then he felt a hand on his shoulder. Rei turned around and look up at Kai, who stood about an inch taller than him. He saw Kia in a new light. It was like he was glowing. Then he felt lips on his. He saw that Kai’s eyes where half closed and looking at him. When Kai pulled away he turned his head to looked at the wall like there was some new growth on it.

"I.. I'm sorry, I’ve just always wanted to do that" Kai said, and started to blush. 'Oh gosh Kai is blushing' Rei thought smiling.

"Oh believe me, it’s ok" Rei said, look down to the ground with a huge smile on his face.
-End flashback-

@At Mr. D's office@
Kai walked into Mr. D's office and was greeted with Mr. D with his head on his desk.

'Well this isn't good' Kai thought before walking all the way and putting his hands on his desk.

"Mr. D, are you ok?" Kai asked.

Mr. D looked up at Kai and said "Kai I'm sorry."
Kai stepped back and asked "What are you talking..."
Before Kai could finish his question he heard it.

"Hello Kai" a strong voice said behind him.
'Oh god please not him' Kai thought turning around.

"D...Dad" Kai said stepping back and running into MR.D's desk.
