I have always pushed myself harder and harder trying my damnedest to be stronger than and somehow defeat my rival kakarot. However today I may have pushed my self a bit too far because when i should have given up and went home after another sparring session with him. I refused to allow myself to be defeated and kakarot gave me a kamehameha that perhaps was a little stronger than the clown intended and it sent me falling swiftly towards the ground. Moments latter my already broken down body crash landed into a pile of boulders causing me to scream out in pain. I felt like every bone in my body was broken.

kakarot quickly flew down to check to see if I was alright. I try to stand and shrug it off acting as though I wasn't as hurt as I really was but I struggled and in noticing this kakarot now knew for certain exactly how injured I was. He felt inside the pocket of his pants and tried to find a bean but realizing he didn't have anymore he shrugged and said "Shit Vegeta I'm fresh out of beans. That's ok I'll just take you to my grandfather's cabin which is close to here and heal you the normal way."

He picked me up and carried me bridal style to the cabin and laid me down on the bed before walking over to a cabinet and taking out some soothing cream, bandages, and other first aid essentials. He eased me out of my clothes causing me to blush and then used the soothing cream to massage my whole body soothing some of the pain away while he checked for broken bones, fractures, and other injures. Not noticing anything too serious he said "looks like we got lucky seems its mostly sprains. I still want to keep you under observation until someone comes in with some beans though. You took a very hard fall and I want to make sure that no other injures arise that will need more serious medical attention but for the moment it looks like i probably won't have to take you to the hospital." He wrap bandages around my body to keep my joints in place to prevent any further damage. He asked "Vegeta why is it that you push yourself so hard to defeat me. You are the second strongest warrior in the universe why can't that make you happy? Why do have to tear yourself up time and time again. It upsets me to see you like this your my best friend and to know that I'm the reason you get yourself so hurt it breaks my heart. Is it just that I'm a third class or if there's more what is it?"

This causes me to look away from him as I try to hide the blush that has spread acrossed my cheeks. I sigh and say "it is nothing let it be kakarot." To this kakarot replies "no I can tell that this is something important and I need to understand why you do this to yourself so that I can best help you. I care about you Geta and I want to help you so please tell me what it is."

I ask him "did you know that most Saiyans are men? Over the years our races bodies have adapted to handle this population strain. We have become able to reproduce with other men. My father king Vegeta and yours Bardock were best friends and the decided to join the two families. My father hated that he had to see your family being third classes when in his mind you family deserved far better than that and He also believed that the marriage between the two families would strengthen both by the children it would create. So it was agreed upon your birth that you would marry me and be my bride my queen. At first I paid this little attention because I was too young at the time and then when the planet exploded I had believed that you had died along with the others for I did not know that you had been sent to earth. This decision no doubt was made by your father you probably for saw the destruction of planet Vegeta and did not want you there when it happened. Later on when I found out that you were on earth I was so accustomed to the idea that I would be able to choice my own mate that I didn't want to change this and tell anything about the betrothal but over the years I have fallen in love with you. But now how can I ask you to be my queen when I am the weaker of the two. How can I exert my dominance over you when you dominate me so soundly in battle. i promised myself that i would propose to you when i finally defeat you but each time i try i fail"

So vegeta has just told Goku that they are betrothed to each other and that he loves him. What will Goku's response be read chapter two to find out.
